  • The Deere 329E is in the shop so I grabbed the Kubota with the MTL XC5 brush cutter and went back over to the 8 acre lot to clear out the ditches.

    which do you prefer for the excavator, the brush cutter or the little mulcher head?
    I am on the fence as what to buy.

    Scary stuff man glad you got it out. Really liking that mower on the excavator. Nice work as always

      Yeah I got very lucky no doubt! Something to keep a better eye on in the future for sure. The mower on the mini has been awesome though. That little thing is a beast. I've really enjoyed running it and seeing what it can do. Thanks for watching!

    I work at JRE in NC and have worked a couple of those loader set ups with the lines in the loader arms. Easy to work on and service with most issues able to be corrected on the face of the adapter plate.

      Sweet, good to know! When I upgrade I am definitely looking at a 333G Deere. Any good and/or bad things to know about that particular machine? Would love to get some feedback! Thanks!

      @@idigit4967 The biggest thing I have seen is grease and lack of general maintenance. We have one as our shop mule and it takes everything you can throw at it plus some. Very stable machine and not lacking on power. If you get the remote quick coupler just make sure you keep the area around the motor clean and guard the harness going to it.

    Why does the machine make a noise when moving tracks and arm with mower deck but does not with mulcher?

    Hey man randomly came across and watched the video. Your in my area. I just recently bought a e32 and I’m looking into doing some mowing. Any advice?

  • @paulthesoundguy1
    @paulthesoundguy1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Suggestion......
    For speed and accuracy...extending the boom all the way out isn’t the most effective way
    Leaving the upper boom in position and letting the lower boom hand straight down and then rotate from side to side as you move foreword
    In rows Yields a quicker job time cycle

    You need to check out the ASV RT 75 HD with the max cab. It has a lot glass for better visibility. I’m looking at the RT 75 HD or the RT 120 F.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do like ASV. John with Upstate Brush Control loves his ASV's. My only complaint with them is that they are radial lift and not vertical lift. I really like vertical lift machines but if they made a vertical lift I'd be very interested in a RT120 if I ever upgrade.

    What does the mini ex cutter weigh? I have a kx 033-4 it’s close to 8,000.00 pounds and has around 17 gpm. Looking to buy a cutter

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure exactly what it weighs, probably in the neighborhood of 500lbs or so. Call or email MTL Attachments, they can probably tell you but I think your 033 should be able to handle this fine weight wise and 17 gal/m is plenty of flow to run this head. This thing is a beast, you won't be disappointed!

    I figured it was the sprayer who messed up a lot of that plot. Makes one wonder why bother, just mow it and avoid the wrong equipment on that land.

    Fecon would of been quicker or even a ventrac?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of that stuff was a little tall and hard to reach for a Ventrac. Fecon on the mini would have been a good option too, maybe a little more overhead with wear on the teeth over blades but either one would be good. Thanks for watching!

    As you are in an area without major freezing temps pickup one of the large water filled extinguishers that you pressurize with air. You get a lot out of them so good for a new brush fire or in the case of organic trash burning in the machine. Not good for a fuel or electric fire but hard to beat the volume and recharge capabilities.

    • @TheUserid82
      @TheUserid82 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tsunauticus III You would need to research the RV antifreeze in them as I am not sure. They like CO2 extinguishers get overshadowed by dry chemical ones as they are easier to use on different types of fires and can be used in areas that water would freeze.
      Fire suppression tech is a fun topic and covers many fields of study so lots of information on it. You also run into the odd things like strong laser pointers used to set off a fire sprinkler from outside the building once you fall into the rabbit hole of study.

    I like it when you update any service done to your machines. Is the Deere as reliable as you would like?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah its been a good machine. Its had its issues but overall I've been pleased with my 329E. And its fairly easy to work on. And the fire issue really wasn't the machine's fault, it was just a freak thing that caused some grass to get in there and get hot ignite. If I ever upgrade I'm definitely going to look at getting a Deere 333G.

  • @allanpeters4403
    @allanpeters4403 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Kubota may be slower than the Deere, but don't you get a better view of what you're cutting so you don't hit something that will damage the blades, plus you can get closer to the trees.

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the newer Deere has better visibility, I don't know that for a fact but just from looking at it, it seems like it does.

  • @brooksjones2443
    @brooksjones2443 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just a FYI, you want to get an ABC rated fire extinguisher. What you got there is just BC rated. The A rating is for ash-able materials, wood/paper/etc. A BC rated extinguisher will only put out flammable liquids and electrical fires. Just looking out for ya! 👍🏼

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I saw that too. I figured that a BC would be fine as if the machine really caught fire it would be mainly burning diesel and/or hydraulic fluid. In this case the small amount of material that got caught in the machine was really just a catalyst that would have ignited the fluids (luckily it didn't). But maybe I need an ABC. I appreciate the comment, thanks!
