How does a 270-year-old mill make the best cloth in the world?

Despite loving suits, I had no idea how cloth was made, so I traveled to the source. Marling and Evans, founded in 1782, is one of the remaining mills in Huddersfield, the town that was the center of worldwide cloth production for nearly two centuries. There, I learned how cloth is made, both at the mill and the finisher.
Unfortunately, a lot of this business has moved offshore, and in a region where there were hundreds of these mills just a hundred years ago, now there are three, and Marling and Evans is one of them.
