- LaSheena Weekly, the mother of FBG Duck, sat down for her first-ever VladTV interview, where she addressed her son's recent murder. She started out speaking about her personal life growing up in Chicago and becoming a mother as a teenager with FBG Duck's older brother, the late FBG Brick. LaSheena then spoke about FBG Duck's childhood and their family centering around their matriarch, the rapper's late great-grandmother, who had a hand in raising LaSheena and FBG Duck.
During the interview, LaSheena also detailed the moments leading up to FBG Duck's murder, and she revealed that the woman he was with while shopping on Chicago's prestigious Oak Street, fired back at the shooters. I just listened to the full interview with FBG Ducks' mother. I'm not from Chicago I'm from Baltimore, so I can relate to what's going on there. My father was murder when I was 5 years old, and many others. I lost my son about 4 months ago. I just to say. God bless Ms. Weekly your in my thoughts and prayers.

A few years ago, while scrolling through TH-cam, I came across Duck's interview with VLAD. I had no idea who he was but for some reason I clicked on it and watched the whole thing. It was so real and raw, I was just honestly blown away. From that moment on I was a huge FBG Duck fan. Even though 2 of my favorite Chicago rappers (Pappy and LA) had already been murdered, I honestly didn't think it would ever happen to Duck. Stupid I know, but I just felt like after everything he had been through, every close call, surviving multiple hit attempts, Brick dying, etc, he was kind of untouchable. I guess no one is untouchable when you live that lifestyle. This shit is a neverending cycle. Sadly, when the reaction to murder is more murder, it will never fucking end. RIP DUCK.

She probably held onto him because she already lost two kids before him, I think it was more so a situation where she wanted to keep him close. He needed help with his kids he didn’t want to leave them either, by the sound of it duck couldn’t really afford to move out of the city just yet because the label was black balling him. She said she had 10 kids she lost her first born, a child in a fire and was trying to make sure nothing happened to the gifted and talented one because she knew his street name held weight, regardless that was still her son whether he was right or wrong. To the world he was FBG Duck to get he was just Carlton. And who knows maybe he chose not to leave his family by choice, he wanted to be able to protect them, if they can’t get him the would go after his family.
To whom much is given much is required. I have 5 children & their all raised to love & support each other 💯 if your FAMILY that GOD chose for you to be BORN into is in NEED & your in a POSITION to HELP you do just that! His mother was not & is not a problem!
