Thats still REALLY cheap tho, you basically are paying 900 for the apartment, you just have the inconvenience of having roommates which to some is actually a plus.
Why does the title say $900 when you can’t get the apt for $900? Maybe put 3 bed at $900 per person in the title so it doesn’t feel like Bait and Switch. Not everyone is going to be renting an apartment in a roommate situation. Some people want the whole apartment for themselves or for their family.
It says what "you" can get. You can get...that apartment filled with two roommates and then you will pay 900 for rent. It states clearly in the notes what the rent is and what you receive. Also, if you watch the video, which requires no financial investment and is entertainment not advertising, you will be aware of the terms. In addition to that, you are free to renegotiate the rent right up to signing the agreement, so, who knows, a savvy business person like yourself might just get them down to 900. Good luck. And finally, bait and switch constitutes fraud so please do your research before turning a fun clickbait into a criminal accusation. We come here for a good time, new knowledge, fond memories and, maybe, a lead on a great place. If you want to take on the criminals of TH-cam, just check what's trending and leave our Cash alone.
If you read enough of Cash's videos, you know that it's usually a per-person price. From my observation, there are many NYC people sharing apartments until they can afford their own space.
@@Bobrogers99 It isn’t a matter of whether “ I “ know or not that the total cost of the apt isn’t $900. Sure, I know $900 total is BS for a whole decked out pristine 3 bedroom, even in that neighborhood. What about others who are watching and who may have no idea about RE prices in Manhattan and/or how the prices vary between neighborhoods? Add in pandemic pricing and it gets more complicated. Let’s say you’re watching this video from the Midwest, $900 for an entire 3 bedroom might sound about right. The headline of the video represents the apartment as $900 for an entire 3 bedroom and it isn’t until you start watching the video that you learn about the real cost of $2700. It’s just one of the dirty tricks of the trade that typically are only done by the slimy RE agents. I don’t consider Cash to be in that category but if you’re doing things that the slime do, you’re going to end up being compared to them. Just be up front about the true cost and people will have more respect. Your brand/image in RE holds a lot of weight. Like I said, this is classic bait and switch. I think people can divide $2700 by 3 all by themselves to arrive at a per person price of $900 if they plan on sharing the space between 3 people. There are folks tho who want to live in Manhattan and have a 3 bedroom all to themselves or for their family- so maybe don’t assume you only have a “roommate” audience watching these videos.
Hi Cash. This is one of several apts we've seen with the same decor: hardwoods, black kitchen, appliances. Remember the one we tried to figure out where we'd put the table, with the second floor area, the motif is familiar, we've seen this before. The common space could be set different ways (1) with dining table, against the windows, sofa either against the wall further towards that bedroom, or (2) sofa lengthwise across in front of bedroom doors creating a walkway behind it. And the entertainment center by the wall, or the windows, w/o a table. I could see it different ways, depending on how much "Stuff" you have I've got book cases, and a large sofa that would fit in that space. Bedrooms are good space, I think you'd need to go minimalist for storage though. You'd have to be careful in the BR's for space, if you want a dresser or desk, that might be problematic.
Those tiles show up in a lot of apartments, along with the really oogly green ones. Not crazy about either. One thing almost every single apartment has are black window frames.
You got plenty of room for a kitchen table right on the wall next to the stove in the living room. Then use a big couch to separate the room & put the tv on the big wall. Pocket doors! Love there are 2 bathrooms. The windows let in a ton of light. The room by the kitchen would be a great office. Love all the exposed brick. Sure- airing out after a shhhhhhower. 😝
I’m not looking for a place but I love these vids,.... entetaining.... you should do some other vids about living in New York in general. Your a good host and folks looking for apts might find them helpful
This is the best value I’ve seen in any of your videos that I’ve watched so far. I’d be ok wit not having a kitchen table (I actually don’t have one now), but the thing that always gets me is how small bedrooms & closets are in nyc and everyone is just ok with it. I can’t stand having my bed in the corner of the room, I need to be able to walk around all sides of it to make the bed every morning
Nice apt, love the ceiling fan plus light, really nice kitchen. Nice family apt, all family no strangers ( stranger danger for children). Pull out door!!! Nice layout of space. If I could pay for all apt w/ hubby & children.
That's a super value and in top notch condition. The laundry makes it a dream for a NYC apartment. Price can't be beat and you have the new 2nd Ave Subway for easy access as well as the downtown Bus on 2nd Ave. Jump on this. Excellent post.
I wish I had Mr. CJ in Westchester County when I moved there from TX many moons ago...(1990), I know the pandemic has created this situation but I would have moved to the city in a flash compared to what I had to choose from in White Plains and other burbs. Love your voice Cash...most articulate and the humor is an added bonus.
I liked this apartment very spacious for 3 roommates, it has everything I would need and all three bedrooms could fit a full/queen bed (aka adult beds). I would put the dining table over by the window and go with the rest of your suggestions for the living room.

I work at the area and I know several people that live on that block. If you have a car the parking is so difficult to find. Late at night the rodents come out. One evening I was scared to get into my car because there were a dozen of rats on the sidewalk after 11pm on a trash day. I was getting ready to throw my car keys at them and let them keep my car 😂😂 Overall the apartment is beautiful but the neighborhood is not that safe.
This is probably the best reaction I've had to a place you've showed (and I watch your channel 'cause you know what you're talking about when showing places). I'd actually consider it if I were still up there, and found 2 good roommates.

I feel like I go there every day. keep the videos coming. I still feel like you need your own TV show. I would watch it and so with lots of other viewers. happy fourth to you and your family
$900 PER ROOM means that the whole thing is $2700/month & probably market rent or not much less, or that you'll be getting roommates that you don't know, selected selected by the owner, & they could be ones that you don't like. And, these new roommates could be transient. You'll have them for about a month or two, maybe a little longer, & they'll move out. That's what "rooms for rent" is all about. Also, in the beginning of the video, on 100th & 2nd, those are NYCHA project housing buildings on the left-hand side of the screen. The neighborhood is called "El Barrio" or Spanish Harlem. It may be a quiet street but remember that you'd be living near the pj's so not so quiet during the summertime & also maybe not so safe late at night. That glass door won't block out the noise either. That pretty much just functions like a room divider.
Very nice . I 💕ur videos - I have only been to NY twice for ministry purposes ( was busy ) and only got to see the TODAY window for a few minutes ! Want to come back and visit ! Watching your videos solidifies the fact that people “live” according to their priorities (what’s important ) to them ! A quiet street , hardly no traffic, renovated bathroom ( no mold mildew etc) , is more important to me /so the small kitchen is fine .. And to pay $900 a month to live by myself I would move further away ... again it is so nice to see how others live / neither is good or bad - it’s a point of priority. $2700 a month in ALABAMA or MICHIGAN would afford a 3k-4K dr house /of course depending on neighborhood! Keep up the great work 💕🙏🏽
I know, I think about that. How can people keep getting priced out of areas to live? I was in NYC last November after a 14 year absence and I couldn’t believe the changes. When my cousin first moved to NYC in 1978 he paid $250.00 in SoHo.
@@toastedcheeser it took a pandemic for them to lower the rent. In the processing of moving last year i was looking at apartments in this same building it was damn near like 5k.
I love gentrification. I lived in the neighborhood and was happy they moved lower income people out. It was gross. Trash everywhere, rude people, loud...it was fucking gross. If you care about your neighborhood, take care of it! Most importantly, BUY!!!
That’s a great apartment for finishes and price. Most New York apartments I lived in you walked into the kitchen first, but I never had a kitchen as beautiful as that one, and how nice it gives a good space for a living room. Love the eposed brick throughout the apartment, and the deep window sills, and all the materials used are absolutely perfect! Someone needs to jump on this!
"Owner to contractor:OK, Bud, I guess you're done. Contractor - I made all the changes you requested. Owner: Oops. Did I forget to say that this place needs a kitchen. Contractor: No sweat. I'll just slam some appliances along the wall in the entry hallway." And thus another NYC apartment kitchen is born. 'Owner again: Oh heck, I also forgot the washer dryer. Contractor: Right. Well, lets just back that up against the kitchen for a completely weird look. Laundry in the living room. We'll start a trend."
Heh. In fairness, they're working with very old footprints. That laundry closet probably used to be a linen closet and was convenient to the existing plumbing. Same for where the water & gas lines were for the kitchen. I would have maybe put a door of some sort over that laundry closet, though!
Ok so is it a pretty building? Yes. Is it cheap? Yep. There’s a reason for that...100 - 105 has undergone selective gentrification but while that one corner looks spruced up don’t forget about the projects on 1st Ave that run up to pleasant Ave or the sanitation truck lot up the street. The ambulances are a constant noice going to the hospital and the presence of new tenants who are pricing longtime New Yorkers out of their otherwise neglected, Spanish speaking neighborhood aren’t particularly welcome. During covid who really wants roommates unless you’re married, living with your boyfriend/girlfriend or have children. Heaven forbid you have a car you’ll end up spending an arm and a leg in a shorty parking lots or garages because so much of the immediate area is parking for the hospital or sanitation department and the walk from the Q isn’t all sunshine at night. on the weekends there are those four wheelers and atvs roaring up the avenue and loitering on street corners is a given once you go above 98th street on the east side.
I think I’d split this one by 2 instead of three... then use the largest bedroom (with the pocket doors) as a media room. That way each person gets their own bathroom, the kitchen space won’t be as harried and overall this just improves quality of life here (for not a huge pile of extra money)... AND great reno on this place. The finishes are modern but they kept the character in tact with the exposed brick and hardwoods! Cool spot...
This a pretty neat apartment. I just don’t like the first bedroom, should’ve left it as living space...would’ve been great for entertainment plus that great lighting. Overall I really like this apartment.
A $900 renovated apt on a quiet street in NY.....SOLD! The kitchen placement is a minor compromise because it's such a nice one. What a steal. I like it
The title is deceiving "What $900 can get YOU in NYC" when in fact it is "900 per room a 3 bedroom apartment" Apartment is still great but for a single person, looking at this post makes them think they hit the jackpot.
Bedroom across from the kitchen would make a nice dining room and small office space. Nice storage closet space in it. Entry hall coat closet would hold 1 lightweight early fall and late spring jacket, 1 medium late fall and early winter jacket, and 1 puffy heavy winter coat for 2 people. I think 2 roomies or a couple with a kid would be great for that space.
You will be woken up every morning by the sanitation department garbage trucks across the street from U. Ahhh..the smell of garbage 🗑 everyday the aroma that Oscar the Grouch would ❤️.
If I could afford it, I would live there alone and make the room across from the kitchen a dining room, one of the bathrooms would just be for guests and the last bedroom could be an office/ guest bedroom
Living in NYC would be great if you were rich. And I mean really rich. So that you could live in the penthouse, have a driver to pick you up outside your door, have staff to get your groceries and run your errands. I don’t think it would be as enjoyable as a regular person! 🤣
Where and how old are you?!? (Rhetorical question, innocent person. Don’t answer.) Of course in NY you have to have roommates to afford a place. Years ago I paid more than twice that for a studio a little farther south. You have random roommates in university, you have a little more choice in roommates to share expenses in most cities. There are lots of people in cities, very often you don’t know very many of them. There are MILLIONS here. If you want to know your neighbours, a city is not your first choice...nor are the suburbs around big cities, to be honest, not until you get quite a way out into the surrounding countryside, if any. The NY-DC corridor is pretty much packed tightly. In fact, the Boston-NY-DC corridor is largely contiguous. $900/per room in NYC is CHEAP, especially a nice apartment, even in Spanish Harlem, which I happen to like. Pre-covid, it would easily be much higher.
You did it! You said it! "A five burner stove" 😁😁😁 It's still a "range", but oven and range are pretty much interchangeable (unless it's a slide in or a drop in but let's not confuse things), and at least you didn't call it a five burner "oven" 🥰 🤣😂 You know I'm just giving you grief, I can't help that I spent four years in the high end appliance industry and hearing it called a four-burner oven literally is like running my knuckles over a cheese grater. Keep up the good work!
I like the layout of this place! Even though I'm not usually a fan of galley kitchens, this one is kind of chic. Also, constantly kicking myself for not including a wine fridge when we re-did our kitchen! PROS: nicely renovated, decent space for everything, love the w/d (although hate that they're visible and not behind a door). If I were choosing not to use the room with french doors onto the livingroom as a bedroom, I think I'd make dining/ casual (maybe an office) space near the kitchen, and a dedicated livingroom out of the french door room. CONS: why does it seem so weird to have two bathrooms right next to each other?? And I wonder if that grey/white pencil tile is the current version of builder's grade green marble that we've seen in so many other places? Haha! If someone likes uptown, this place is pretty great.
Appreciate your feedback. I’ve already done several tours in the 103rd and 105th St., East side locations. Those aren’t bad either, but everyone should do their own research before renting and I appreciate your perspective because it might help someone 👍
This was really nice. I think I would turn the third bedroom into a dining room since it is right off the side of the livingroom or bunkbed room that lifts up for the additional space. Yeah those rooms don't look like they can handle more than a queen but your better with a full size if your single just for space. The price is just right like it is in the Midwest with all the amenities. The only downside is the price will inch back up to an unreasonable price and force you to move to less than desirable living once things boom 💥 again. But fantastic savings in the meantime 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I'd make the bedroom off the kitchen into a dining room. The rent is reasonable for a 2 person roommate situation. Each would have their own bathroom and the washer/dryer is the icing on the cake! Great apartment!
Make the third bedroom, the one right across from the kitchen, into the dining room. NIce round farmhouse table and a hutch. Would look great with that brick wall

Yeah I commented on that too. There's people thinking its 900/3 bdrm. No..
Facts
Great video dude, Great place as well, love your work man
A stunning renovated apt for $2700 - very hard to beat - how much would this place have been pre-covid ? $3500 min - so an $800 a month discount
yeah big discount pry closer to 3500
I love that you can put plants on the window the washer and dryer is a plus it's great
Yep similar appliances here, but at least they are workable and in good shape. Love your tips for the setup
Yes,, so many identical materials. I mean, the tiles, etc., are contemporary and sleek but it all strikes me as the 2020 version of "builder grade."
Those tiles show up in a lot of apartments, along with the really oogly green ones. Not crazy about either. One thing almost every single apartment has are black window frames.
It’s the same landlord so... yeah. Beware
@@CathyS_Bx probably the same contractor doing most renovations on the neighborhood.
Great apartment
Just wait a year, as the exodus from NYC continues prices will keep coming down.
amen

@@themoviedealers awesome I've never been called a troll before!
@@themoviedealers What a well thought out and lucid response. Care to add anything germane?
Or everyone comes back, and you get chucked out as the rent doubles.
Nice apt, love the ceiling fan plus light, really nice kitchen.
Nice family apt, all family no strangers ( stranger danger for children). Pull out door!!! Nice layout of space. If I could pay for all apt w/ hubby & children.
“So airing them out after someone takes a ssssshhh-ower...” 😂😂😂
I busted out laughing too 😂
Lol
Lollll it’s a family friendly channel ;-)
That's a super value and in top notch condition. The laundry makes it a dream for a NYC apartment. Price can't be beat and you have the new 2nd Ave Subway for easy access as well as the downtown Bus on 2nd Ave. Jump on this. Excellent post.
Yep awesome value
For context this is technically Spanish Harlem.
well, its 100th st, so its hard to tell but yeah maybe SpaHa
No it isn’t hard to tell. Harlem starts at 96TH Street.
@@CashJordan the projects are on the next block over
Whatever they do don't go towards 2nd Ave 💃🎶 unless you hugry for Karen food! JS
I was just thinking the same thing! Once I saw Metropolitan hospital you in Spanish Harlem baby
I can’t afford to rent a chair, yet I find myself on a roll watching nyc apartment videos.
What a great find!!! Room #1 for sure!!! ❤ the "balcony" fire escape & the 2 windows!
I liked this apartment very spacious for 3 roommates, it has everything I would need and all three bedrooms could fit a full/queen bed (aka adult beds). I would put the dining table over by the window and go with the rest of your suggestions for the living room.
Nice idea for where to put the table
Nice idea for where to put the table
Beautiful apartment. A galley kitchen isn't too bad and the living room is big enough to also put in a dining room table with chairs. Nice finishes.
Deal! But I'm thinking two people max. Or just one. Great place, love all of the light.
This is going in my favorites just bcs its so cute! Its beautiful. I could never move to NY, but I love watching your videos and seeing all the different options a person would have. You almost make me wish I could for no reason ! I really enjoy your content and sense of humor, and you have a lovely family. Sincere Regards- J😳
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback and glad you liked this one

Great apartment. Of course I live in South Carolina. I only watch these videos- number one because I like cash and number two because it’s interesting to see how people live in New York.
Yep
Keep up the great work 💕🙏🏽
Thanks so much appreciate your feedback
@@CashJordan ur welcome 🥰
Lol I lived on 102nd street and 1st ave my whole life. Gentrification kicked so much of us out but the apartments are real nice when renovated.
I know, I think about that. How can people keep getting priced out of areas to live? I was in NYC last November after a 14 year absence and I couldn’t believe the changes. When my cousin first moved to NYC in 1978 he paid $250.00 in SoHo.
Sorry to hear. Appreciate your perspective
@Minimal Gypsy Yep.
i dont know why i love these videos
I would like it as a 2/2 and use the room across from the kitchen as a dining area!!!---just remove that door😀
Nice idea
That’s a great apartment for finishes and price. Most New York apartments I lived in you walked into the kitchen first, but I never had a kitchen as beautiful as that one, and how nice it gives a good space for a living room. Love the eposed brick throughout the apartment, and the deep window sills, and all the materials used are absolutely perfect! Someone needs to jump on this!
Yep great deal price wise
So it’s like a group home... Budget friendly translation: Roommates are required.
I always love the full size refrigerators. Where I am from, they are considered apartment sized. A five burner stove is always a win.
Haha
@@violapastuszyn1349 , yeah. It's definitely not as bad as the apartment with the block glass shower surround in the living room
Libby Ral, 😂😂😂🤣 - yeah
I would make the small across from the kitchen a dinning room. this is nice.
Great synopsis everyone should do their own research first before renting, but I hope my videos are helpful
$900 for a room. No thanks.
Mschelsee TV, 😁😁 Thank you for sayin' it, someone had to😂
I think I’d split this one by 2 instead of three... then use the largest bedroom (with the pocket doors) as a media room. That way each person gets their own bathroom, the kitchen space won’t be as harried and overall this just improves quality of life here (for not a huge pile of extra money)... AND great reno on this place. The finishes are modern but they kept the character in tact with the exposed brick and hardwoods! Cool spot...
Great ideas
A wine fridge is like a medicine cabinet, but for your beverages.
Hmm now I love them more
That's profound.
Good desinfectant in Covid times 😁
Ursonate, to make up for the toy-sized stove, toy-sized dishwasher, single sink, & 4-foot-wide kitchen..

This a pretty neat apartment. I just don’t like the first bedroom, should’ve left it as living space...would’ve been great for entertainment plus that great lighting. Overall I really like this apartment.
The bedroom could easily be used as a office, den, storage or even a nursery.
Hmm yeah it’s a little worse than the others
A $900 renovated apt on a quiet street in NY.....SOLD! The kitchen placement is a minor compromise because it's such a nice one. What a steal. I like it
The title is deceiving "What $900 can get YOU in NYC" when in fact it is "900 per room a 3 bedroom apartment" Apartment is still great but for a single person, looking at this post makes them think they hit the jackpot.
hmm yeah i was sure to say it in the beginning that its for a room. appreciate your feedback
No it s 900 x 3 rooms ...each room 900 buddy
@@irv.c8080 probably not even that since one bedroom is considerably smaller than the other two.
Right EXACTLY!I agree!Smdh!🤦🙄🤔😡😤🎯💯💯
Bedroom across from the kitchen would make a nice dining room and small office space. Nice storage closet space in it. Entry hall coat closet would hold 1 lightweight early fall and late spring jacket, 1 medium late fall and early winter jacket, and 1 puffy heavy winter coat for 2 people.
I think 2 roomies or a couple with a kid would be great for that space.
yeah i think so too great points
2700 for a 3 bedroom in Yorkville? That's a steal!
Yep great pricing!
Not considered part of Yorkville. 96th Street is cut off....close enough, though!
Not Yorkville! East Harlem.

i keep wondering what is wrong with it considering the price but i'm not seeing anything...i love it really looks like an unbeatable opportunity
The market is bad right now, and 100th st isnt a popular street even though it is convenient
You will be woken up every morning by the sanitation department garbage trucks across the street from U. Ahhh..the smell of garbage 🗑 everyday the aroma that Oscar the Grouch would ❤️.
Its not $900, its $2,700. That is what’s wrong.
Love to come visit New York. Great apartment.
If I could afford it, I would live there alone and make the room across from the kitchen a dining room, one of the bathrooms would just be for guests and the last bedroom could be an office/ guest bedroom
yeah having this all to yourself would be amazing
I'd make the small bedroom a dining room .It's next to the kitchen perfect!
I can't imagine wanting to live in NY, even if it was free.
Living in NYC would be great if you were rich. And I mean really rich. So that you could live in the penthouse, have a driver to pick you up outside your door, have staff to get your groceries and run your errands. I don’t think it would be as enjoyable as a regular person! 🤣
I see first run Broadway shows for $35. Last one was A Soldier’s Story, front row. Worth it.
Murray Johnson, WE😁 only live here because we found a decent job here😂😂; even then, people move to Jersey for the much smaller population density
This is fabulous! It would be wonderful anyplace but to have so much space in New York is a miracle!
Yep a great find in any city
This is like one of those too good to be true things. ITS A STEAL FOR THAT PRICE
Yeah the price per person is fantastic
Not hard to believe if you're just paying for a room.
Having your own washer/dryer is fantastic
So the rooms are for rent? I am so confused, people that don't know each other live together?
"A five burner stove" 😁😁😁
It's still a "range", but oven and range are pretty much interchangeable (unless it's a slide in or a drop in but let's not confuse things), and at least you didn't call it a five burner "oven" 🥰
🤣😂
You know I'm just giving you grief, I can't help that I spent four years in the high end appliance industry and hearing it called a four-burner oven literally is like running my knuckles over a cheese grater. Keep up the good work!
How much can they increase the rent by once the lease is over?
So this is fee market so it can go to whatever level the market is offering
@@CashJordan ,😨😨😁
This place is much better than most midwestern apartments. And for only $900, that’s crazy!!
What’s up w this wine stuff? Jeez I need a dishwasher not some storage I can’t afford
I know, almost all of the updated kitchens have a wine fridge. You could have another cabinet without it.
Haha! If someone likes uptown, this place is pretty great.
yeah i hear you on the bathrooms its not perfect, cause its NYC i guess
By the time you get to 103rd street, its 3rd world ghetto. He should tour the whole neighborhood, not just the walk from the train.
Appreciate your feedback. I’ve already done several tours in the 103rd and 105th St., East side locations. Those aren’t bad either, but everyone should do their own research before renting and I appreciate your perspective because it might help someone 👍
...My jaw just dropped! ...I’m in love .🥰😱
That’s a great idea!
I don’t care how small the kitchen is!!! That’s a steal!!!!!!!!
I'd ive here! Great deal with the w/d, windows and the updated kitchen.
Beautiful updated space, laid out well, and great price in a convenient location. It’s move in ready and you can save money! Another win!
