I totally agree building stuff that you like is a great way to learn. I feel an urge to criticize about the way the talk was packaged but I'm not going to, I think this stuff needs to be said and if it's packaged in a format I don't like that's something I can get over.
For me at least, the content she was trying to present was great, but she got side tracked about her life way too often that it almost seemed like she wanted to make the whole presentation about her and her new wife.
Can you make the video on elasticsearch and use mysql query for get the data from it .means if we want the search my like same mysql like date search n between date ,like search ,==search many more
Hey @funfunfunction, I've been following your videos since I can remember and this is the first time I disliked a video of yours. Don't get me wrong, please, let me explain: I really liked Sara's talk (I watched it during your stream) but I don't get why you uploaded it just like that. When I saw the video title I was expecting you to talk about this subject. You said "It was a talk I really needed to hear at this time" and I was ready to listen to you talking about it for the next 28 minutes... I'm sure you would have amazing insights to share with us about it, based on your personal experience. That's what I most love about your content, Mattias: learning how we can be better developers without losing our humanity. But then, you just play the talk and don't say anything else... I got disappointed, that's why my thumbs down. Maybe you could instead just share the link and talk about it, even if it was only for only 5 minutes. I hope you understand that. Anyway, have a nice weekend and I'm looking forward for your next video :)
Hey, just wanted to drop a thank you for comment. Usually people dislike a video and then come to the comment section to complain further, but instead you gave some constructive criticism and suggestions. Thank you for doing that :)
She's fun. But I completely disagree about the Uber and Airbnb arguments. Yes, there is no 'silver bullet', everything has downsides. But in my opinion, overall, these 2 companies DID make the world a better place.
She did say that it depends on who you ask. Does Uber mean much beyond North America or densely populated areas? Does it help the heads man race in a broader scale?
@@number3729 It might not affect everyone, but it does affect a lot of people living in or visiting cities. Not only in North America. First of all - who should decide about car fare prices? Who should decide how many drivers can work in the profession in certain city? Taxi corporations or free market? Why would taxi companies progress, by creating apps that show exact route and price? Why would they compete with lower price when they can all agree on fixed price? They do this NOW, when they have to compete with companies like Uber, Lyft or Bolt. It also turned out that there is some job space for new drivers. So, while it might not be a cure for cancer that affects everyone, in my opinion - it is a cure for metaphorical cancer, which is the taxi lobby.
Sorry to be so negative, but talks like these are the reason I don't go to NordicJS anymore. Yes - the presentation was charismatic, fun and inspiring. But 25 minutes of this is just too damn long for a single-track JS conference. The talk feels so drawn out; lots of build up to each point, lots of anecdotes about stuff like buying toys from IKEA. Could've been cut down to ~7 minutes. I can appreciate a short, "soft" talk break between tech talks, but not a 25 minute one.
I enjoyed the talk but i would have to disrespectfully disagree that ikea is an good company lol They definitely changed the world and not in a good way.
It is indeed the purest of internet comments to mention this on a video with the phrase shit in the title, twice in thumbnail, posted on a channel where there is cursing all the time. 😂
"You don't have to use your brain in this talk"
Finally there's something for me on this channel
Wholeheartedly agree. I hope she called 911 after she left the stage, cause I think most of that audience was dead.
The anecdote about replacing !important with a curse word is great lmao🙃

"Useless is not worthless" I love it
the idea she is trying to pass might be good, but i didn't like the way it was presented.
This is weirdly the most inspiring thing I've seen in a while
Was this published by accident? It's still Friday here in Vancouver, BC.
"let me be straight.... like I can't be in my life" I'm still laughing, gg
🤣
Great presentation, does anyone know the name of the "chrome home screen" that she uses @14:51 ?
Daily 2.0 - Source for Busy Developers
I enjoyed this, even though she did get side tracked for like 5-10 minutes towards the end, but it is what it is :p
Why all the thumbs down?

Thanks for this comment! I hear you and it's a great idea to have more meta-discussion around the talk. Interesting idea for sure!
nice feedback! i sorta felt that too! it would be nice hear some insights from MPJ about it =)

Same. I don't understand why. Is weird.
I feel like I'm just innately bad at coming up with ideas, but I'll give this a go. Definitely sounds like the more fun approach. :)
This ties in so well with this channel's values and beliefs. Bravo.
great talk
Hard to follow.
I'm a simple woman. I see Sara's face on a video on your channel and I click.

Airbnb is nice for the customers, but on the other hand it is making rent unaffordable where there is a lot of tourism.
"But overall, these 2 companies DID make the world a better place."
That's a completely subjective statement. Many people believe the opposite.
@@Helvanic Yeah, I should add "in my opinion".

At least she's real.
