I'm sorry that there's idiots that feel they have to complain. I think your talent of knowing how to layer that paint and colors is amazing. I've really enjoyed watching this. It's so relaxing. God bless and much love from Kentucky!
Thank you for the snowy owl tutorial. It helps to see how you use water to make more fluid. I have a tough time with my paints drying before I finish painting🥰

Beautiful owl! (Although I'm not sure the photographer correctly identified that as a Barred Owl; still great either way). Why do owls have black eyes- They're not fully black; some species are a VERY dark, rich brown, which looks black in most lighting. Depending on the species, though, owls can have dark brown, orange, or yellow eyes (typically there is very little diversity within a species though for eye color). While there isn't a well understood purpose of the color of the iris, there are some theories that that color may play a role in if the owl is seen by predator or prey (E. Screech Owls, for example, have bright yellow eyes, and will often squint so they don't give away their position). Will owls attack people- Yes! They're wild animals. Temperament varies by species and individual, but Great Horned and Barred owls are both noteworthy for that they are quick to defend their territory. Are owls viewed as evil- Yes and no. There's a huge swath of cultural differences, but European culture has gone through a bit of a shift. The Greeks and Romans revered owls as wise creatures, and it was said that the goddess Athena favored them, so they became a symbol of her. In the middle ages, however, that began to turn sour. Different customs concerning the death of a family member often saw leaving the body in the home along foods, which attracted rodents. The owls would come to eat the rodents, however they got the reputation of showing up after the death of a family member and at graveyards which are also conducive to rodent populations. This earned them the reputation of a more malevolent spirit. (Owls also sound quite disturbing and can be very loud in the dead of night. The Tawny Owl especially holds a reputation for such things across Europe)
