The late 90s to early 2000s had some of the greatest “cinematic“ movies. I really miss the artistry of that time 🙏🏼
i feel like everyone was more passionate about making the best movie ever. Now theyre just trying to get the most money out of it. Also audiences have become a lot simpler
@@kingcamilothis movie is garbage and you just like historical innacuracy
@@kingcamiloMoney and political activism
@kingcamilo annihilation was a good movie imo. Its just too many remakes and people trying to go for super hero movies.
Very true
Edward Norton is not even mentioned in the cast of that film in IMDb! And his performance, even with his face covered, is captivating! One of the most underrated actors, among the best of all time!
Edward Norton has a reputation for being a very difficult actor to work with so it could be a reason as to why they try to cut him out of the credits.
@@chocolatecake6588that reputation is fake it's a rumor created because of his beef with Harvey Weinstein that's why he didn't have a lot of work in the 2010,s
@@chocolatecake6588he asked not to be put in the credits to keep the mystery of the character

Is Napoleon good? Ridley Scott again
@@MaDFroG88I watched it last night. 6/10 simply because you can tell they tried to cram pivotal events in 2 and a half hours. More than enough emphasis on Napoleon’s relationship with Josephine. Less emphasis on Napoleonic wars, etc. there’s an extended director’s cut coming out so I’m hoping that will fill the void.
@Realcolby954 mehh so same thing like kingdom of heaven, should wait for the directors cut! 4 hours +
Watching this movie because tiktok is going crazy on the edits with the guy in the silver mask 😂
Glad to know I’m not the only one 😂😂😂
😔✋️
me too
Yea
✋🙂↕️
The Director's Cut is the definitive version. One of my personal favorites from Ridley Scott.
The directors cut turns it from a mess of a film that doesn’t make much sense to one of the best historical epics ever made. The producers never let Ridley Scott’s just do his own thing.
They did the same thing to Ridley Scott on Blade Runner. His artistic vision the original version was always the masterpiece. Not the Bullshit that the studio played out.
Me too
@@EST_Zo And with Martin Scorsese and Gangs of New York. The original was almost 4 hours long it was heavily edited, with numerous scenes removed what is a shame. Still one of my least favorite Scorsese Movies the whole plot of DiCaprio character and Cameron Diaz was boring and weird. Daniel Day Lews saved the movie with one of the best performances ive ever seen. The Movie should be completely about Bill the Butcher it would have been a masterpiece.
ima watch
The amount of amazing actors is crazy
I watched this movie for a social studies homework and oh my god, I’m so happy I finally found this movie-
What did you like?
@@spectrumrh5392 the king dying scene
The fact they gave this a 38% and She Hulk a 77% is Heresy.
Also, the David Thewlis is such an underrated actor. I remember seeing him as a villain in Dinotopia when I was like 5 and he basically carried that whole movie.
I absolutely agree. Also, David Thewlis is not just an underrated and fantastic actor, he is such a personality. Honest man, great sense of humour, funny, easy-going. It was my honour to even could listen to him talk. Awesome person. He is one of those persons when you have "muddy" bad day, to brighten it up. Such a legend :)
yo dinotopia when i was 12/13. mom's coworker 10 yrs younger than her was a movie buff bought dvd all the time gifted a bunch to my household for free, i loved her. grateful for introducing me to this., none of my classmates were movie buffs besides 1-2 i went back home with every day.
@@lyrilljackson Yeah I have some great memories watching it with siblings
Yeah that movie is still hot garbage though. Quite possibly one of the most historically inaccurate films ever made
@@vinchenzo2502 .......?
In my opinion, Salahuddin's charisma and influence was much more than the lead role in the film, and this shakes the lead role
Tell me you know nothing about acting without telling me
Ofcourse he is muslim they always embrace religion anytime and everywhere
Agree. I don’t think Bloom was strong enough to carry the lead.
But historically speaking balwin IV while so bedridden with leprosy he had to be carried his mere presence on the battlefield was enough to make Saladin flee. What then does that say about Saladin? Maybe that's why 1000 years later they still hate women, wear bed sheets and post anti West videos on the smart phones we made.😂😂😂
This movie is finally getting attention now because of TikTok
Nein,non,no.
was popular before
I remember my dad watching this film when I was little. I would join him at times. He enjoyed watching kingdom of heaven, gladiator, Troy, etc. the 2000s always had the greatest movies !
@@Itssssbenyandsashso you think tiktok edits did nothing for the popularity of an almost 20 year old movie?
About to watch the directors cut again on a rainy day off.
So worth the extra 30 minutes
This is an absolute must-see, I re-watch it every couple years. Giving this masterpiece 40% on Rotton Tomatoes is blasphemy. I'd say 90% is more appropriate.
"Blasphemy": a very ironic response 😂
I think i watched 3 times already, going for a fourth one now 😅
This movie is legend in my book. Great story
People liked the cinematography, graat acting and awesome war scenes
They disliked it because Christian crusaders were portrayed bad and Muslims as saints
The actor who played Saladin was the coolest I seen his appearance made me wonder what Saladin in real life looked like this came at a time when Hollywood was producing historical films like Troy n others
Read about him, never forgotten.
The actor who plays Saladin is an Arab actor and he looks a lot like Saladin
@@debeuurotaSalahdin's selfie agrees 😂

The best siege scenes ever put on film. Make sure you watch the director's cut.
Lord of the Rings had much better siege scenes.
@@DestinyAwaits19 Sorry, I should clarify, realistic siege scenes based on real historical techniques.
@segagenysis6918 I dunno, man. KoH has much more variety and realism in its siege depictions.
Just be glad that in both films Orlando can be seen, literally slayin'.
Which one to watch theatrical one or director's cut ?
DIRECTOR'S CUT ONLY!!! @@excelgamer1145
It's 2023 I never knew about this movie...in 2005 I was busy party I never watch what was coming out...glad this pop up on my TH-cam. Thanks😂
Must watch!!
These days the word "masterpiece" is thrown around quite easily. Not in this case. It is not wasted on "Kingdom Of Heaven". A work of sublime beauty and amazing detail, an intimate epic if there ever was one. Ridley Scott outdid himself here. Harry Gregson-Williams provides a rich, deep, touching and unforgettable soundtrack. PS For maximum effect, and a kind of continuation, I also watch Scott's other underrated historical epic "Robin Hood" (Director's Cut as well).
There´s nothing historical about Robin Hood since he never existed.
@@MrCarpen7er Of course. But some of the characters, events and settings did. Just like in "Kingdom Of Heaven".
I think it is the ideas portrayed that make it a masterpiece.
This movie is based on a true story set during the Crusades, where there is a battle between Christians and Muslims for control of Jerusalem. Even though the Crusaders knew it would be nearly impossible to defeat the Muslims, they still fought. In the end, the Muslims, led by the wise and intelligent Saladin, triumphed. What stands out is how the film shows the respect and honor of the Muslim leaders, and how they choose peace after their victory, allowing the Christian civilians to leave Jerusalem safely. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of wisdom and compassion in times of war.❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 Must watch movie!!!!
I invite you to islam my brother
Watch the muslim lantern
Master and Commander, Troy, Gladiator, The Patriot, Kingdom of Heaven ... I am so glad that as a history nerd I was able to grow up during the time of the last great epics.
Honestly, this movie has never ages over time , I've watched it over and over again
"Kingdom of Heaven"(2005) is an excellent Epic Historic War movie, with an amazing Soundtrack!
Wrong. On the history part lol
@@alanhoy5347it is pretty accurate in comparison to other movies. Obviously you need more drama etc. for a movie.
@@Yuqii.19yeah you need drama but this movie completely perverts history. Hell if it wanted drama and could have just stuck to the original history. Drama was on both sides of the war. Hollywood loves to paint this story as if the Christians were the aggressors all along but that is nowhere near the reality. If anything the crusades were a response to the unimaginable atrocities being committed by the Muslims and the Turks
@@vinchenzo2502aren't they all agressors fighting for greed
@@vinchenzo2502Your the only one wrong here, I don't know from where you get your informations but I think it's just your emotions that lead you because you are a Christian!
The truth is, when you invaded, you killed everyone, there was a rever of blood of all people who used to live there.. Hello Mr emotional!!
But when salah-din-ayoubi as a Muslim opened it, no one was killed.. even it's war.. that's Mercy and sympathy..

One of my favorite movies. Must see for everyone who likes the genre. Dont believe the bad reviews. This is an amazing movie
Do not watch if you think this is a religious movie. Great War movie though
thanks brother
I just watched it and it's most definitely about religion from beginning to end. You're either stpd or a liar.
@@bradjohnson8174 what are you thankful for the lie he told you?
Good. All religions are bs 🤣
It's called Kingdom of Heaven for a reason stupidas
A King may move a man, a father may claim a son, but remember that even when those who move you be Kings, or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do thus." Or that, "Virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.
This isn’t the best trailer, but this movie is EPIC.
Can we all agree that the soundtrack music is so beautiful and convenient to the movie’s tone ❤
yooooo the soundtracks take you back to that time somehow..... just amazing
Song name?
“I got eyes on the back of my head, I got eyes everywhere, so I know where you go” 🔥🔥
'What man is a man who does not make the world better?' -Balian.
There are surprisingly few movies about The Crusades, despite their importance in the annals of human history. The director cut of this epic is nearly flawless, with rich visuals, focused direction, and well thought-out characters and actors.
Kingdom of Heaven is better than "Gladiator".
Anals hehe
What are you talking about, you know nothing!
Crusarders have been murderers, molesters, rapists of "holy' Pope's Army in order to impose catholic pedophile church rules!
Wow that’s saying a lot. I’ll have to watch it
No need to use quotation marks. Very immature review
Ha! You said anals.
I watched this last night and I must admit, this film is truly majestic! The fight scenes, the wardrobe, the characters (esp. Balian and King Baldwin), everything was impeccable!
people say they found this from tiktok, while i found this from chatgpt asking about good movies about the crusades hahahha
Absolutely loved this movie can’t beat movies before and around 2000
Super underated movie in my opinion. God I don't even know it existed. Thanks my brothers for sharing this master piece.
I have watched this movie multiple times!!
Why can't we have kingdom of Conscience!!
The extended cut is incredibly moving.
I just want to point out
Mac Miller used those words in the opening of his Faces album.
'Be without fear in the face of your enemies
Be brave an upright, that god may love tee
Speak the truth, even if it leads to your death
Safeguard the helpless, and do no wrong
This
Is your oath'
And he published that in 2013
Rip to the ledgend.
He used many other movie quips in his music but that was always one of my favorites.
I don't own many hard copies of films these days in the age of the streaming but by golly I have a copy of this on DVD. ❤ This is a sincerely an underrated movie. The cinematography, the sets, the score!! An amazing film!!
Love Ridley's work. Everyone says the dir. cut is great and I look forward to watching it.
Where can i find it ?
It was on prime video a few months back and after watching the original cut, directors cut is so much better.
I love when he slaps the piss out of them when giving the oath so they don’t forget it lol
I love CGI of those days...
I don't remember seeing CGI in this film.
I remember watching this years ago now im going to rewatch
I was waiting for this type of movie’s I watched this movie for Jerusalem and for Norton….
The roster of this film is actually crazy

Baldwin iv and salahuddin are a great duo who agrees eith me
The directors cut is like a different movie, really makes it so much better then original cinema release. Dunno what they were thinking cutting it! Turns it from ok to a fantastic movie.
came from tiktok stayed cuz of heart
This movie is an incredible masterpiece and will forever be outstanding in so many ways.
I gonna watch this masterpiece after see whole insta pages posting baldwin edits on social media 😮
Translates well in a TV, its not a religious movie, but a story about journey of one mans life, that many adults may relate to, in any century, since the nature of the animal species called Humanity does not change. Begins with a young widow who's life is shattered by the death of his beloved wife. Not ready for suicide, deep in despair leaves his homeland to fight for a noble cause he is ready to die for. In his journey he meets many complicated people are their own journey. He learns by their actions who are real or fake friends, sheople and some enemies become frenemies. The twists and turns, the friendships, betrayals and random acts of kindness. Any time I see it on TV I watch it, even if its in the middle, the acting, script, time period detail is that good.
The OST of this movie is insane and too perfect.
Toilet skibidi respect 🙏 gyat
