I love that the blade is engraved with "viva mi dueño" - "may my owner have a long life" A good sentiment in a fighting knife.

Hi Joe! Thank you so much for this review, you basically answered the question that bugged me for a while: Why there is no modern Navaja-style knives on the market? I love navaja style, I have few cheap ones from Spain, few priced a bit more, hand made with horn handles and decorated blades, they all still so far from modern knife quality and performance standards. I have Navaja-style steak knives made by ARCOS, good quality and nice look but it is rare exception. Spyderco Navaja is a joke. I've been to Spain many times, I even made it to Albacete where most of knife making is done, I've been to Knife museum there, old style touristic quality navajas are in all stores. So basically you proved me wrong, modern Navaja exists even with only few options, I like this review a lot! Thanks again and happy knife collecting! Nice video! I think these knives found their way into the American southwest. There is also a Spanish fixed blade called a belduque, which has a clipped blade and is also thought to have influenced the Bowie pattern. Thanks for the info!

Amazing piece. Philippine style is normal that look similar in some parts to spanish style as Philippines were part of Spain same time when also most South america, center america, caribbean islands, part of north america, parts of Africa and center Europe were also Spain.
Spain had the best people fighting with blades, this was called "Destreza española".

It’s similar to yours (I favor tip control over heavy belly for edc task ) but with yellow liners blue anodizing n690 blade steel . I was surprised he answered quickly on Facebook and talked with me past 12:00am on his time
