Those who have not understood the zig zag folding, for your comprehension, I have made another video, from small model to big one. Watch this video: th-cam.com/video/R0puJOFnEVw/w-d-xo.html
Beautiful vedio with music & extreme technique. Glad ds helped me to learn d art of folding papers to explore Creativity. New Year Greetings & Best Wishes May God fill His Grace in all ur endevours
Hey, I recently started my hands on origami and came across your channel. I've sorta started with this video. I have A4 size papers but while making the smaller folds it tears. Any suggestions on that?
When you make smaller folds, make that section curved/ give temporary slight fold and slowly take down all part together and start folding from the end little by little.
Hello. I am amazed with the technique. I would like to know if you make larger sizes to make clothes. If you do, how much would it be for each. And how can we talk. Thank you!
It’s usually the paper that you prefer to fold as per the purpose of what you are making. Thickness is directly proportional to the scale. Your question is vague. Feel free to ask if anything more has to be clarified!
You can use hard paper but it has to be big in size. In case of using hard paper more than 300gsm creasing marks has to be given differently. Like you can draw a diagram first and then crease mountain and valley folds one by one.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the video which never existed before. It's always a joy to bring a fresh perspective to beloved stories. 😊
The explanation is very nice but at minute 2:50 you made a cut and I could not understand what you did, I read a comment that asked the same thing and you answered that in a part of the video it is, but I could not understand
In the portion that you did not understand is, you have to divide a sheet into 2 parts, then, 4 parts, then 8 parts, same way 16 parts and then again same way 32 parts, this way you could achieve what we get at 2:50. Have you tried making it, I recommend you to try doing it, I am sure you will master at dividing paper in 2x each time until 64 for sure. If paper is very very big, you can even go to make more parts.
The video and my work is inspired originally from Japanese Astrophysicist Koryo Miura and there are many other books in addition to the book you have mentioned on the same patterns and folds by several other authors. I haven’t used the content from the book, I created my own videos while doing it and all instructions are my own which you may not find elsewhere unless it’s used from my video.
Hi Johnathon, I have uploaded the new video on my channel. Please check from time-length 16:30 on that video. I covered this portion that you asked on this video. :)
What kind of knife u used? It looks like you are cutting the paper but not :) i need to create patterns for my photography project.... and you video is perfect to start :)

That's great! I hope my content will be helpful for your learning.. Ask any doubts and queries regarding materials or paper folding, I am happy to help!
Usé papel de copia de tamaño A4/papel de impresión normal para las esculturas iniciales y papel hecho a mano de 200 gsm de grosor para el plegado en miura/patrón en zigzag. Don’t be hard on yourself .. Enjoy the process if you ever do it. 🙏😊

Um did you use the content of the book 'Folding techniques for designers' from Paul Jackson?

These are not folding patterns these are tesselations 💀
Well, tessellation is pattern.
Well, repeating patterns are tesselations.

Why the video jump a important folding part? In the final part the fold is ready, but u don't show the process... 😢
That’s why made second and third part to cover that. You can check the playlist or specified in the description and pinned comment here.
De ce pliage la confusion d'avoir l'interprétation entre surface d'eau et ondulation!? De surface d'eau, le sens au plié n'ait pas le bon!!
