When you realise t-64a has a better base turret Armor than t-80bvm
Well the t-64 is the basis of the t-80, or the t-80 is a upgraded version of the t-64, it may be to decrease weight for more effective types of armor
Newer ERA would make up for that.
Making it cheaper and easier to make.

@@mr.waffentrager4400 It's because it has composite in its turret but not as much as the more modern russian tanks. Instead it has actual STEEL upon STEEL which has a KE modifier over the composite turrets.
Pretty sure the T-80B turret is just fucked up, the strength of it goes up, then suddenly jumps down again and slowly climbs back up, so it’s way weaker than every other turret

The T-64A and T-72A were upgraded by adding smoke grenade launchers and an additional armor plate. The T-72A can be modified in the game. T-64A no. Why?
I made a suggestion on the forum and the players approved it. Then the developers approved it (50|50). We ended up with a useless combat rating downgrade. What for?
Temporary buff until next update when they add that upgrade kit for T-64A?
Actually no, t64a changes the 115mm gun(originally ot got the same gun as t62) for the new 125mm gun, and modifis the autoloader, t64a and t72a are not the same modifications. When t72a came out the URRS already have t64b prototipe, the origial t64b (without era) its the equivalent to t72a.

This thing should've absolutely been downtiered and I don't think it really clubs when it goes down to 8.0.
Most tanks have a shell that can penetrate its hull just fine, and finding a good hull-down position with russian tanks can sometimes be a challenge with the bad gun depression.
Just don't fire HEAT-FS and don't shoot the turret. Like the IS-2 but upside down.

It never should have been 9.0. Ive been playing this at 9.3 and it was completely fine. It has amazing protection against heat rounds and if you play aggresive it bounces kinetics too

This thing was soo bad at 9.3 that I completely ignored it when working down the tree. On the other hand the T-64B was actually pretty fun despite being slow.
Even now when you give the t64b the bv modification it can handle itself at 11.0 if the person playing it knows what their doing, the only thing its missing is thermals.

I like taking around 14~15 rounds(11 APFSDS + 3 HE) in T-64A. It cleans up all ammo in the gunner side hull. A lot experience players shoots gunner side hull. Empty the ammo rack like this would increase the survival rate quite a bit. Similar strategy can somehow apply to the later T-64B and T-80 series Tanks as they share the similar vertical carousel auto loader (though you might change it a bit when you need to carry more missles for long range maps).
Nice advice dude ...14 rounds is slightly uncomfortable but it definitely helps
3BM15 or 3BM22?
@@RyuKimGaming On paper 3BM22 is better in every way. However, when I used 3BM15, it is not too bad. It is more or less a Russian version of M735 APFSDS with better flat penetration. 3BM15 is very powerful downtier, and can still get the job down when uptier, if you know to shoot target weekness. On the other hand, the target that 3BM15 cannot peneratrate from the front, it will probably NOT be panetrated by 3BM22.
@@frankf6716 Thanks for the info, I'm using the T64A right now, I'm using the 3BM15 for now (tank still new). I"m pretty sure how to aim the weakness of my opponents which is fine. But some other tanks I cannot pen for sure (XM variants) but well let seee
@@RyuKimGaming For XM-1, you can try shooting right below the gun barrel, the button of the gun manlet using 3BM15, it has high probablity of kiling all 3 crews in the turret, disable the gun, jam the turret ring, and kill the engine. This is a very similar weekspot to Leopard 2A5/A6. Then you can take you time and shoot the driver.
Or you can consider shooting the right side of the gun manlet facing you. The armor on the gun manlet is week. You can garentee disable the gun breach, and very high probability of going through the blow out panel and detonate the ammo at the back of the turret (which usually always exist even when low ammo count)

1440p only, and I film in the same. I'd 4k but I can't give up the 144hz 1ms I have currently, and my capture card wouldn't like it either.. :(

"It's almost like cheating." That's probably because it's basically cheating. You're literally turning off your own engine noise so you can only hear enemy engines. Why those two audio options are still separated is one of the many reasons I know Gaijin doesn't give a single shit about this game.
You can't move when you turn off your engine mate. You have to be smart to do that, I can tell that not even 5% of people that I face in public games use that tactic, so it's a smart tactic, and usually it means that you are facing a good player, so don't be salty about it, this game has lot bigger problems than this, such as ULQ warriors or BR compression.
@@adri_the_man396 That's not what I'm talking about. Actually turning off your engine is a smart tactic. Going into the game's audio settings to turn off your engine noise and turn up other players' engine noise is cheating.
It lets you hear people coming from a much greater distance, and even though they can still hear yours, most people run default or otherwise balanced audio settings, so their own engine will sometimes drown it out until they're much closer.

For all those wanting to be as awesome as Justin, I can say that probably the best thing you can do to get better at WT is to get a good computer. I have a pretty new Mac, but it's not a gaming computer and is totally potato at running WT. I've had games where I've lost kills and then the target kills me, turning a great flank into an embarrassing death. 😖 The rest comes from hundreds of hours of experience.

To be honest when I seen it going to 9.0 I was like ..ye its never going to see a downteir .Due to the TURMs and all the other premiums also russia doesnt have a 9.0 lineup so your either upteiring something to join it or upteiring it in the 9.3 lineup anyhows.

It would be cool if the autoloader was a breakable part. Not say stop it from reloading but maybe reducing fire rate drastically
Wouldn’t be fun, manually cranking the auto loader can take upwards of 30 seconds even up to a minute depending on stamina of crew.
@@Rempai420 beats almost having loaded shell then ur loader switches spots and ur reload cycle has to restart
@@sparrow9990 but it would reset if the gunner dies as the commander has to start cranking. I don’t even think the commander can reach the auto loading crank, it’s in such an awkward spot
@@Rempai420 I think they should just make it pause until repaired or work like the "broken use" feature in arcade where it is just 3 times slower then normal when broken. It would still kind of act like a loader and wouldn't allow the tank to get shots off that it shouldn't to balance it. mabe they should also give it a chance of jamming if not repaired as well. U can run out of loaders and they can just repeatedly be killed until ur tank dies of crew loss but u cant run out of an autoloader as u could repeatedly repair it non stop but it would also be a bigger target
Also, do you recommend buying the Yak-38, or the MiG-17AS? I am at 9.3 for Tank RB, and need a good ground striker, but am at 8.3 for Air RB, and a Boost from the 17 would be nice
I say yak38 for CAS, ballistic computer, being able to land at the helipad for an airspawn, I say it may be worth. But, it's a crappy dogfighter without its R-60s (assuming you don't use them with the s24s)

I hate it. Chinese WMA and PLA sit below 9.0 where T-64A is despite having better sabot, Laser rangefinder, 2nd gen thermals, better mobility and no armour.
Cuz for T-64A armour is literally irrelevant, esspecially in frequent uptiers.

Im new to Russian Tech Tree and T-64 is my first soviet MBT when it still 9.3. I mainly play NATO tank with great mobility.
It feels so inferior compared to western tank. Good for camping and long range sniping but with laser rangefinding change western tank is better with it

Light tanks dominate that br range because of their broken ass damage models. You are more likely to survive a shot in a TAM or a rooikat than in a T-64 or any regular tank.
They really need to fix the audio in the game. Its unrealistic and gives to much of an advantage to people with pro level headsets. Ive been in a tank (T-54)... you cant hear shit outside of it. Even with the hatch open and your head out its soo loud that you need to yell to talk to someone a couple feet away. I've heard some of the modern tanks are much quieter but I still really doubt you could hear another vehicle with the hatches closed unless he was right on top of you.

damn havent played WT for like a half a year now, i reached those high BR's and i think i got demotivated a bit, it just doesnt feel right, these top tiers theyre weird ... im waiting for some kind of update that will make top tiers more interesting, now its a bit like some go-kart mode, super speed, mobility, stabilizers, point&click ... i think what i liked about those lower tiers it was the right balance, no weird stuff, no super tech rockets or anything like that ... i even liked the bounciness of the barrel, more often you and your enemies could bounce of eachother because of that, stablizers are really game changing mechanic ... on higher tiers its complete opposite of what you experienced on lower tiers, like a totally different game in a bad way unfortunely ...

T62M is still superior to this tank ... in both armor and ammo
Definitely not in turret armor though. Its turret armor is the strongest Russian turret in the game for kinetic rounds.
@@Kwisss frontaly (around the gun) sure, but even then your gun/breach gets knocked out ... with T62M you have better ammo selection, better (chemical) protection on hull and turret cheeks (that can save you from flankers that shoot the spaced armor) and overall more trolly armor, more gun depression, lower BR, DShK on top, ... but T55AM is still masively OP P2W masterpiece in comparison (ye have to rant about it)

@@timurlane4004 its the M version the folded one ... it has better heat (500 vs 440), better stock HE (40 vs 35) and comparable top HE (40 vs 42), better angled pen on dart (218 vs 189 @500m), access to ATGM, and top mounted DsHK .. all that while being at lower BR tahn T-64A... also ity has better armor in my opinion, APFSDS can go thru both but since T-62M has the old T-55 style of design, it has WAAAAY higher survivalabilty after being pened, you have wet ammo with fuel right before it to stop heat, its better at baiting shots to the angled front and the armor package can even stop early ATGMs ... still not even comparable in power @BR with the OP P2W T-55AM1

the fact that the enemy can bring out a whole OF-40 after losing a Centauro without having done anything is a travesty in and of itself. time to recognize the effectivenes of light tanks already. they are often harder to kill than their MBT brethren. and cause just as much damage.
if he drives out a Centauro and dies instantly he deserves to go back to hangar immediately. or maybe let him have an SPAA but no full MBT.
