Being a missionary is a great responsibility! The missionary must have great energy, fortitude, and courage. Wherever the missionary goes, no matter what part of the world he or she is in, he or she must spread the Word. Locals must understand what the missionary is telling them. The missionary must get the Word right! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is going on a mission or preparing for one, I would like to recommend a very good workshop by Yury Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes: Practical Tips for Learning Foreign Language. This wonderful book will give you answers how to properly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book gives answers to many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. I wish you good luck in your important work!
England Manchester mission is not that far from me .. where I go to the temple .. I live in the England Leeds mission .. check out Preston temple that's part of the Manchester mission and also get supporting Manchester united as over there most will be a red or blue which is man u or man city
im not a mormon but interested.. are the missionarries send to location on what bases? i mean they pay everything themself if i have correct information so are they send to places they can afford...some countries are really expensive to live... or can they say like i would wish for that or that place ? thank you for answering:) and love from finland.
I know this is super late, but missionaries pay a monthly, flat rate regardless of where they serve. The differences in cost based on where you are going in subsidized by the church and the tithing funds paid by members of the church (donations). I am going to be serving in Los Angeles (which is an expensive place!) but I will be paying the same as my friends who have served in Mexico or the Philippines or Brazil. I had a classmate who served her mission in Finland! She said it was beautiful and she loved it very much there :)
They talk to other people about the gospel of Jesus Christ. :) And yes, they do put off college or at least part of it usually then resume after that. :)
Maybe it's my impression but it seems like people are more with the place of destination, as if it were a holiday trip. I mean, it's a surprise but I think destiny is the least important.

The Missionaries are called of God by a Prophet of God.
@@gracies.330 The flat rate is paid by all Missionaries to reduce stress on all and to focus on Preaching the Restored Gospel.
Well done elders
Hey, I am from Piracicaba, who is the Elder?
What do they do while they are in missions? Do they put college on hold for the time they are away ?
