All that reading helped; a good contestant knows where someone's mind will go so they don't say things that will throw them off track like Dr. Drew's first round where he said "turtle" to get them to think "dove." Then they spent the whole time thinking about turtles. Yes, you know the word is "dove" so you can see how "turtledove" fits but from their point of view, it's related to a turtle.

I seriously can't watch this program at all, just for this reason. I just can't handle how stupid people are, and I'm no genius. Even the other team: Beach find. They looked like they were on Mars or something.
@@mrsj1417 I had to realize that a lot of these people are doing it because their publicists or managers suggested it and don't really care (especially people like Chelsea Handler). I know it's not life or death but I still hate watching people compete in things when they don't really try. It irritates me. Especially when the person is giving good clues and they aren't paying enough attention to interpret them correctly.

Then Eric repeats back "Treasures," like Dr. Drew saying it the first time might not have registered. I mean, I guess he was spitballing off ideas but it seemed like they were expanding upon his guess of "metal detector" and not her clue of "beach."
@@chiclehomo8970 They're not under pressure. They're paid to be there, not because they love the game or have anything riding on it. Some "celebrities" don't really care. That's what their problem was.
@@qtnico2198 She might speed read and also maybe is a stay-at-home mom. I know people who told me they read 10 books in two weeks so I guess it's possible. I really savor each and every chapter though so reading takes forever for me.
