    This is exactly why i like this italian team. There is the usual passion and dark arts, but Vialli and Mancini has achieved to give a collective attacking mindset to this Saquadra Azzura.

      a Chelsea cult hero and a class act his appointment was honestly the start of something special for us in our ascent towards the top we were a decent mid table club when Gianluca arrived but after a few years with him as our player and manager we became consistent top 6 contenders and more importantly trophy winners. What a man.

    Vialli was a great player...very skillful,tenacious and clinical...a leader and good team player....he made me become a Juventus fan in 1995 to date.

    He's from a wealthy family. I'm sure that he learned English as a child. Then living in London with an English wife helps, too, to be fluent. He's a very intelligent man. He could have lived his life as a hotel realm heir playboy. He chose to be a sportsman and he turned out to be one of the best footballers in his country and in Europe.

    Vialli and mancini had to be one of the stand out strike partnerships nether of them are classic strikers yet in a period of big goal bound centre forwards they excelled. What they brought together after their retirement has been special too when Italy won the euros it felts like the pinnacle of these guys decades long partnership. Vialli will be missed

    His English is essentially perfect. I was so surprised that he was able to infer what the interviewer meant by the _"Did you work on that relationship?"_ question. There are players and managers who have played and managed the majority of their lives in England who would visibly release question marks when asked that question.

      @J .....so, when you grow up in a Castle, especially if it is huge, ....you automatically speak English ? I did not know that !
      I live in a 1000 square feet apartment and I speak Italian, French and English !! My dad was a truck driver ! How do you explain that??!?

      I might be wrong but his wife is british, they kept living in London and his daughters are 100% Londoners…so I guess that helps improving ur skills

      FACT: Vialli is from Italian aristocracy. Despite a tremendous career and fame, his wealth is dwarfed by his family inheritance. Humble, intelligent and truly a wonderful guy.

      I am used to Italians speaking Maccaronic English !
      It surely doesn't make us look very clever around the World !
      Finally a positive exception with Vialli !
      What's even sadder is that some Italians that represent Italy around the World can barely speak.....Italian !
      In this last decade Italy lost so much reputation, credibility, honor, esteem ! We used to be a top Country, we had so much respect around the World.....WTF HAPPENED !!!!
