If you are worried by my mention of using treadmill belt lube (silicone oil) neat STP can work well also, not quite as slick BUT much better than grease for seals and bearings.
Outstanding! Looks like I’ll be stripping down my TX200HC and Prosport (both having passed through your hands Tony) to make sure as greaseless as possible as per your video. I have moly but may get some red n tacky if it truly helps. I must check my guides as well if delrin or not. Once again brilliant video. Truly appreciated. 👍
Hi Tony, thanks for a very informative video. Well done. Appreciate it it tremendously. For metal to metal; Have you tried mixing the tungsten powder in evaporating alcohol? Ps. I got my silicon oil from a RC supplier. They have many different viscosities.
Does the piston lube need to be replenished every tin of pellets or so? I have noticed my 22mm and 21mm kits really slow down in the heat (770 fps down to 721fps), but I have not replenished the lube this season (several thousand pellets). I suspect that the lube may have disappeared over time or run off due to viscosity decrease by the rise in temperature.
slow down is more due to the use of delrin bearings on the piston than anything, the od of the bearings can be reduced by a few thous to help with this BUT do it with the bearings already warm so expanded. 95% of all piston slow down is cured with a move to ally bronze or igliudur -x bearings, watch the video on my channel where i talk about materials expanding and contracting with heat and cold.

Relubed both my TX and pro sport with this mix and both rifles are so much smoother to shoot!
Thank for sharing Tony 👍
Top tips, Tony.
