Maybe consider split screen for key moments so we don’t miss obstacle fails and passes. Looking forward to running and watching big bear!
It was a fantastic race! By the end of the day: the walls, ropes, bars, foot holds, every step of the course was ALL caked with mud, which really upped the difficulty level. Hard to do a Herc hoist when squeezing the rope and having mud ooze our of it and grind the hands. It would be great to see some of these amazing athletes run the course at the end of the day and see how times and obstacle success rates change. It would be the equivalent of determining a handicap in golf.

Wow, the course looked completely different at 1:15pm same day. I was surprised to see there was actually grass on that first hill. I'm curious how the times would have differed for them all if they ran the course at the end of the day. From a trail condition standpoint, it was the muddiest Spartan I ever ran.
This was awesome.. But I wish the commentators would have talked about the course conditions at least a little bit.. Let us know if things are slippery or mucky. Additionally, I would like to have heard something about whether cold hands are a benefit or a disadvantageand why.
They always talk about cold hands and the difficulty of doing obstacles with cold hands - put your hands in a bucket of iced water for 5 mins and try using them and you will understand the issue
Good show as always however one comment of commentator I would like to correct: Average or even fit woman's bodyweight to strength ratio not even close to men. For example any lean unfit man can do a number of chin-ups and twenty or so pushups. Most, even fit, women cannot do one of either. I am also a powerlifting fan and for the same bodyweight, the men's records are much, much higher. This does not take from the women though as they are incredible athletes.
No I doubt if many lean unfit men could do 20 push ups in one go unless they were used to doing push ups and they would do few chin ups. And you are underestimating what fit fit women can do - just look at female gymnasts

some of the obstacles are boring and sometime dangerous ..... you don't abruptly stop to carry a heavy atlas stone .....or lift a tractor tire after a long run ......its unhealthy for your heart ..... and those bucket carry too .....very, very dangerous for those unathletic ...... spear throwing ? boring ......those spears are light ......change to shot put instead .....those have weights ......

I'm new to this sport but this race got me so hyped

They also didn't have 'over, under, through'.
They don't have every obstacle at every race. My guess is it was a choice of the course designer to not include it at this race.
