We've read them both. They are sometimes helpful, and other times their presuppositions show forth quite strongly. Tyndale House Cambridge has world class Bible scholars for both the OT and NT, we recommend them.
@ lol their presuppositions. Apologists are the ones with presuppositions. Scholars don't deal backwards like apologists do. Of course you recommend people who already believe. That's called apologetics. You can't even admit that there is no inerrant, infallible bible. @ here we go again with the apologist telling me that I am only recommending people with whom I agree. I didn't say those of Tyndale house aren't considered real scholars. I think we're done now. I recommended two names because they're the top scholars in their fields but they're not the only ones but there's a difference between believers who are looking at things like you are and coming to the conclusion because that's your presupposition and yet you know nothing about me And yet the apologist has to claim the other person is only recommending people with whom I agree. We're done here but thanks anyway. I get tired of apologists. I mean to think that I'm saying I reject Tyndale house and others is just ridiculous and I just don't have the patience for it anymore.
So it is obvious there are errors and contradictions in the Bible. Tov on the Hebrew bible and Ehrman on the NT is recommended as far as TC
