I immediately went to the Invoke site and ordered a bunch of stamps. I love those types, feels kind of steampunky, so I got quite a few, (don't tell my husband). Love your tiles and your wooden shrine mosaics.
Mary Allen Hi Mary, Thanks for the lovely comment as always, how have you managed this winter? I am so glad spring is finally around the corner. TTYL., Sara
i have followed your clay journey as im new to polymer clay as an art medium.i have loved your videos, have learnt alot thanks but your work is just getting more and more lovely and i think your own style is starting to come through. i am looking forward to seeing your future tuts/videos....and learning more from you
Sara, another great clay share! I plan to check out the stamps...cool look to them! I love the Happiness shine, too! Yes to the warmer temps! Hoping that we had our last bit of snow! Have a great week!
homeschmomof4 Hi Jeanne, I think this year I will be making lots of clay items. I want to do some sewing too and who knows what else will catch my eye, LOL. TFW, Sara
I really hope that you write a book, soon, cause i find your art, way of explaining so wonderful! tnks to you and also to your comprehensive husband;)))!! have an inspiring day!
It looks like you're having a great deal of fun with your clay play! Loved the quilt! I keep telling myself not to take on another crafty medium, but I keep watching your videos. You just might get me into trouble. ;)
Jamie Coutu Hi Jamie, I really am enjoying the clay and I think It is a medium I am going to stick with. You never know until you try, it may be something you too really enjoy. TFW, Sara
Hi Sarah, You show a cute hinged box that you covered with tiles that is quite top heavy that flips over when opened. Did or have you tried gluing thing to bottom of box and then painting what ever you glued on to disguise it. for example heavy washers. Also you used painted wooden balls on bottom for legs. Instead you could use large painted nuts (from hardware store). he he. anywho these were just some thoughts I was having while watching. There are a lot of hardware that we all through out on stuff when something breaks. If you salvage it and paint it it would look neat and work as a weight for those kinds of boxes. At the very least you could make the ones you created functional even if you did not want to make anymore like that. I hope you found these ideas helpful. have a nice day, Cat
Thank You for sharing. I was wondering how much time you had in your home sweet home piece? It's so hard to know making other projects at the same time. I thought since you mainly did it all in one day you might know. You must be pretty fast. And I am so so slow. haha. I am going to get to Michaels one of these days and buy a pasta machine. I loved hearing about your lets say journey into the arts.. My family has never under stood my drive and desire in making and learning new art techniques. I too paint, took stained glass classes for a while, went through a polymer clay stage, Chasing and repose work. It is so much fun to make and try new things....Thank you so much. I'm in a doodle stage right now. I cant stop making mandalas haha
Suzie D. Hi Suzie, I am actually a very fast crafter. I don't know exactly how long the home sweet home took. At least 6 hours. Luckily I have a very supportive husband. Its sort of like my job, LOL. TFW, Sara
Wow Sara!! I actually watched this through twice so I could soak up all of your beautiful talent.....there are simply not even hours in the day to do all the projects that I would like to(even with Daylight savings time LOL)... thanks for inspiring me yet again, I adore your "shrine thingys" and all of your tiles...each piece was better than the last! I also really like the black clay too and the way the mica powders pop against them... I think it will thaw enough this week to enable me to get to the post office..I would like to send you a thank you in th email...should I use the address that was on my package?? Enjoy the rest of your week, take care, Cali :)
Cali Black Hi Cali, Yes that addy is fine, I really wasn't using them and just wanted you to have them. I look forward to my happy mail but it really wasn't necessary. I am really enjoying the clay and am trying to figure out my style. More to come. TTYL, Sara
LOVE the houses and wings. I think I have those house stamps from Invoke. Will have to dig them out. Where did you get your butterfly wings? Love those too. Inspiring!
Patti Parrish Hi Patty, I got them at ACMoore and they don't have a name brand on them. It is marked 2005 Limited edition rubber stamps, long Island, NY USA. The ACMoore sticker says LE6073K Wing Set #2. Hope that helps, Take care, Sara
I wish by do so Ned up for the retreat but I'm just not doing much right now so I figured I'd be wasting my money. I am doing pocket letters and have added a few of my polymer clay pieces to them. Have you thought about doing that? Anyway. Thanks for sharing everything I just love what you do!!
Sarah I am new with clay but from watching your videos I decided to go out a buy some clay. I have dabbled in air clay and paper stuff .So my question to you is I have molds both Martha mod pudge and techture plates. Do you feel that these molds make the clay too thick for the hope bottles? I have beautiful butterfly molds but I don't know if they are too thick for the bottles. I ordered bottles off amazon the 2/12 size with corks and eye screws. I love making these bottles.
Nancy Vastine Hi nancy, I have some of these molds as well and if I want them a little thinner I just add less clay and try and push it all to the front to get a good impression. I have a small butterfly mold and I think it would be fine on a bottle. Just try it and see what you think. TFW, Sara
Hi Sara! Thanks for the video. I'm curious, what'd you use for the yellowy/orangish part on the top part of the frame at the end? I've been trying to figure out how to get yellow on my tiles. Is it paint?
ROBYN DUDLEY Hi Robyn, I use Mica powders and metallic rubs called inca gold by Viva. I am pretty sure I used orange inca gold. There are so many colors. I may have used a little bronze too. TFW, Sara
love your work. can you do a step by step on a clay tile using your techniques from start to finish for a whole polymer clay mosaic layout? mentioning the names of tools, glue, supplies you used. It would help greatly.
michelle levy Most of the time I just use the stamp to make an impression in the clay without ink. I have used ink as well on lighter colored clay. TFW, Sara
Omg you guys. I am so bad at the business part of crafting, I am definitely working on getting some things listed and I will post a video when I have. The pieces are big and I am figuring out shipping. Soon I promise. Thanks for the interest and watching. Sara
I've been going back in time to look at your older videos. I love seeing the evolution of your work and love love love your 3D tiles.
Yep, I think it has evolved. I love to see how others do it because I don't have to think and then I just end up making it my way. TFW, Sara

Love what you have done - beautiful! What is the name of the stamp you used that you cut the curved
"top" from?. Believe it is from Hero Arts.

Patti Turner No the frame is wood and I paint it gold. TFW, sara

Kapahulu Girl Hi, I probably won't be doing that. There are a lot of clay videos on you tube though that have helped me. TFW, Sara
Hi Sara, what kind of polymer clay do you use? Premo, sculpted lll or something else.
Hi yes I use premo and Sculpy iii both. Bake by the directions on the package. TFW, Sara
Do you have to use your ink to stamp your clay . :)
michelle levy Most of the time I just use the stamp to make an impression in the clay without ink. I have used ink as well on lighter colored clay. TFW, Sara
what emblishments can I bake with clay
Linda Graham metal and glass(beads) for sure and anything that won't melt in the oven.
