Buy Heartsteel for Cho'gath and never be afraid of fighting. In the, like, 20th minute, you will have at least 5000 HP thanks to Heartsteel and your Ult. Also, never forget about buying Warmog, you can heal yourself to the full while you're running from someone, then turn back and they're gonna face a full health Cho'gath, which is terrifying because you're probably gonna have 8000 HP at that point.
As a Cho Gath enjoyer a few more tips: Place the Q a little bit behind the Enemy champion Center. Thats how i oft land my Q in the wave. Either Q Max and enjoy Q Base + 100% AP or Max E and fist fight. Fight at LvL 5! You get your passive regeneration and the enemy is already low when you hit LvL 6 And i dont know why, but the Prehistoric-Cho Gath feels like the smoothest/best Skin. Not so Clunky as Battlecast, not so small as the Darkstar, has nice animations, maybe even a little bit advanatges since is all a dark color tone and is cheaper then a legendary.

In my opnion the best chogath build is ap item first into full tank With ap item your lane will feel better, using Q from afar to do lots of damage, and push the wave faster, but after that , going full tank will make you harder to kill for teamfights while also making so that the opponent has a harder time taking the lead out of you if you get caught out By going riftmaker first , any subsequent tank items you build will still increase your damage , making it feel like youre still scaling well
Yeah, but that 1 single ap item falls off, damage late game with or without it its pratically the same. You'd have to go at least 2 ap items into full tank
The aim is to make a tank build that can still take the advantage with damage in the laning phase , not a ap bruiser Later in the game your job wont be being the main damage, so i feel like having better survivability for more rotations is better in the long run
Just a little thought, your “this is a ___ one trick” needs to be slightly longer. You just show a simple kill generally, why not show an actual crazy clips that’s maybe 5-10 seconds long
to be fair its cho gath, the skill of a onestrick shows in matchup knowledge and champ knowledge, both of which are not really all that flashy for cho. I mean its not a champ that has 9000000apm combos like qiyana etc.

Cho's real problem is the removal of Everfrost, it was vital for him even when he was full tank, you used it to secure Q way more consistently even vs mobile champions so his initiation potentiual into Flash + Everfrost + Q + silence into the enemy team was lost.
id recomend trying Hail of blades, with Aproach velocity in midlane, with the same build, and trying to all in lvl 2, i also go tp ghost, but up to preffrence on that one.
chogath in lane is amazing, but you guys are really sleeping on jungle chogath hail of blades + approach velocity, blue pet and swifties, and building full tank. take ghost spell. it just turns you into an unstoppable freight train. not only are you simply just running over people during your ganks, you also have a 2500 true damage smite+bite combo ensuring you win every single objective, making stacking your feast much easier.
How come you suggest transendence instead of manaflow, since you use manaflow in the video when you showed off your first strike build? Alos how come flat health instead of scaling health?
flat health is because you are weak early and I just think having that HP could save my life in some matchups. Should probably switch it depending on matchup though (like darius flat is better I think but against a Kayle scaling is probably better)
Its not wasted on cho. Omnivamp also includes sunfire/hollow radiance burn and endless despair dmg which is kinda sick since they do ridiculous dmg on chos HP pool

the scaling on riftmaker isnt worth it. Youre better off going any tank item as your damage is very unreliable after 2 items. Getting consistent Q hits on anything above plat is merely impossible. Thats why you see most high elo Chos play grasp with E max and fist fight the enemy.

You know what's the hardest part about playing Cho'Gath? Convincing your team that you're not a tank/frontline/engager Also yes, you can only build tank when the matchup allows for it, like against 15% of toplane champions
you can still go tank against normal toplaners, you just need to accept that you are a shit champ and you would be better off playing skarner or orn. Cho is a useless shit champ these days whos only benefit is a big execute and early dragon secures (which you will never help with becuase youre on the other side of the map). You have a decent lv 1-6 but thats it, after than youre useless.

Looked Like there we're some Games were your Team did good, but couldnt get Out their damage due to you having to stand Back as well. Also it seemed Like you werent really using your leads to aid at dragons. But im Not certain about that cause of those short clips
Thats probably true. I was there for grubs and Rift but I need to get better at rotating to Dragons with this champion for stacks and just because I am a tank.
Unfortunately chogath is just really hard to make work in modern league, every1 has 1 trillion mobility and % hp damage, and if chogath cant land q's or get in range for autos or ult hes a walking hp bar that does nothing. His best build is probably the ap 1shot build in most games.
real chogath tank players dont build heartsteel (bami item first, you can pick up warmogs later if you feel you need a health item), and use hail of blades running around the jungle. optionally you can take glacial and run around as support. tank cho top aint it
I never wanted to be in range to E I was just Qing from far away. However, the slow from the E does help and I did use it when I could I was just playing safe

best cho skin is still gentleman cho for the voicelines and its not even close

I usually go heart steel + riftmaker for infinite scaling and the rest are tank items that scale with health like Sunfire and unending despair

the omnivamp is kinda wasted on cho and despite the bonus ap from rift, i gotta say liandris feels really good over rift
The passive bonus health to ap conversion on rift is so good on chogath though, i dont know of a champion that can get more value out of that item
