The Hypogean emerged from his disguise, and the Blade knew it.
He was a long-time quarry of the Goddess.
A few days prior, the Hypogean attacked a camp,
leaving none but a ragged doll in its ruins…
The Hypogean's ceaseless provocation ignited the Goddess' fury.
Under the Divine Light, the Goddess transformed into a giant sword descending from the heavens!
As divine punishment befell, the Hypogean dissipated in its light.
The Goddess returned the doll and left quietly.
Her faith would no longer waver.
She is the sword of judgment that will punish all evil,
always en-route to the next battlefield.

Yeah the hypogeans always do a good job on pissing off folks they know will annihilate them in less than a second.
This is shows how Athalia is learning about humanity and may understand why Gods and even Dura will do anything to protect them all as well as guide them even though they may go into different path
Not all gods. Zaphrael killed his and Lucretia’s son when there was a chance to save him from a hypogeanic energy.
@@ooheeshiklure6897 Zaphrael is different. He wasn't even a Demi-God at first, he was a human, but yet his reason to married Lucretia because of the crowded people are watching is really ridiculous, he didn't even have a true reason to love her. That was his first mistake, and when he became a Celestial, he did care for Lucretia but not entirely about the family he had created with her. That's why he didn't hesitate to kill her son as some other Gods are ignoring humanity. Athalia is also on this list as well, she was a mortal human too.
Did Dura will do anything to protect? In the end kid, her mother and probably many others died.
This I really late but I do agree completely and my favorite thing about awakened Athalia is that she doesn’t have a visor anymore, which feels like a very poetic way to say she isn’t blind to humanity anymore.

Not really. Her ingame story tells a completely different story from the events that happened in this animation.
This is remarkable!! The story, the animation, everything!! I love how Athalia was portrayed as a cold-blooded killer who only listens to her own judgement at first and was later shown as a just, compassionate protector of the innocent. Kudos to everyone who's been a part of this!! More powers to y'all!!

Мне так нравится как сперва Аталию показали как жестокую убийцу, у которой есть лишь священный долг перед Дарой, который она должна исполнять, а потом раскрыли её как справедливого, но всё таки положительного и не безразличного к чужим проблемам героя, который до конца будет бороться за спокойную жизнь невинных.

Poor Athalia she did her best to help the child return to her mother. Even though she's quite all through out the journey, protected the child until she gets back to her mom. The pain she must have felt when she learn the child's fate. It's a painfull awakening for sure.
Absolutely amazing, please continue making these :). Got freakin' goosebumps when Athalia decided to go all out - the lore in this game is so underappreciated.
Epic ending, although tragic too, AFK Arena, you have surprised me quite a bit, a work of art with three well-made chapters 👍

So that's how we got Ascended Athalia! Animation is pretty good, the muted colours (sepia?) for most of the animation served as a great contrast for the more visually intense effects, although most of it is still quite muted. Great job overall! Does make us want to learn more about the character

We all know if Lucy was there, she will need more than an awaken power to win against her.
I feared this would be the fate of that girl and I hoped to be wrong... But I wasn't. Truly a brilliant, although cruel, to show how despicable hypogeans are and also the way to show how Athalia woke by pure resolve and rage.

Todos los celestiales tienen el dote de despertar ya que se ven incompletos. Cómo Talene que no podía superar el trauma de que su madre haya muerto.. logro superar ese temor y enfrentar al asesino para proteger a esa inocente liberando su poder despertado. Lo mismo pasa con Athalia, siempre fue insensible con la humanidad pero este hipogeo le arrebato a la niña que salvó y que había confiado en ella. Cada uno no tiene el 100% de su poder al aparecer. El despertar libera ese potencial

While it may have been painfully telegraphed, that poor girl dying and Athalia being taunted with her death is heartbreaking. Here's to hoping Athalia's renewed conviction can let her save others from suffering the same fate.
