@@MrButch-ls8vl YES!!! I agree. I have performed this back in the 1970s when I was in High School and in college/conservatory. We did not use the chorus in either performance, however, I now have an opportunity to conduct this for a recording with the ORSO after the pandemic is over, and it WILL have a full operatic chorus with the expanded orchestra and will be released on my TH-cam channel.
@@markemanuele1929 I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see the entire opera Mlada by Rimsky-Korsakov performed at the Lincoln Center in NYC. That was way back in the late 1980's (or early 1990's). I knew I had to see it ... it is so rarely performed.

@@andrewwoodruff3297 We did this little ditty many times in university wind ensemble, until one rehearsal when the conductor summoned the university chorale to come in and sightread the choir part. The whole thing blew us all away, and did the same for the audience we performed it for in the concert hall. I never knew about the choral part, but obviously I didn't know about the opera, either.
The very best versions of this are ALWAYS with the full chorus! Slava!!!

At 3:57 the snare drum is not one measure late. He starts exactly where he is supposed to start. I have played this myself in an Orchestral version .
