In June my wife and I moved from Wilmington, North Carolina to Temple, Georgia (45 minutes west of Atlanta). Wilmington is less than an hour from Bald Head Island and Wilmington also sits on the Cape fear River. Seeing Bald Head brings back a lot of good memories of when I was a teenager and use to play golf on this Island. It was a great time. So glad your family got to visit this island. It truly is a gem!

I love this island! We always visit when we are nearby:) So unique. No cars, and 3 different climate/wildlife zones within miles (beach, swamp, dense forest).

We lived in VA and went to N.C. often. Loved all the Sandy beaches, sand bars, hang glider's, so much to see. Loved every minute of fun We were there 1973, 74,& 75… Went to a lot of concerts, light houses, ocean. Pre- children days.

I spent 28 years in the mountains of east Tennessee. I now live in Port Saint Lucie Fl, and do miss the mountains and all of the beautiful nature that was there. My wife and I are retiring into Mexico in six months to a place close to Sierra Gorda at a million acres of beautiful mountains and wilderness!

Yes take time to enjoy your family while they’re young. In no time your children will be grown. The coast is so beautiful especially the island. I love to see the lighthouses, was there when they moved the Cape Hatteras lighthouse. Have seen all seven, yes there is seven the last can only be seen from a ferry. It’s a short whale oil light.

I have lived in the Down East part of North Carolina for 48 years and have been to 25 different countries and none of them compared the Cape Fear and Bald Head Island area. Amazing video! First of all the kids are growing up so fast. It reminds me of a song I used to hear when I was young, I am 73 now going on 74 in October. It went like this "Sunrise, Sunset quickly go the years. One season following another laden with happiness and tears". Carter voice is cracking and registering in a lower octave. I remember going through that. Kaydee in the last video he was helping Josh with the wiring in the Air BNB. Ellie is the consummate artist. I believe that as WWOG continues she will be the designer for built homes in the future. Josh you and Erin are such wonderful parents and they are like they are because of your examples. Such Love and patience with your growing children. Time goes by so fast pretty soon Carter eyes will turn to some cute young lady and then comes his turn to marry and so with Kaydee. I hope that Ellie stays with you two a bit longer than the boys. But that is the way the circle of life. I hope these videos continue to be shared because it reminds of the Walton's a family TV show of many years ago. Amazing video! First of all the kids are growing up so fast. It reminds me of a song I used to hear when I was young, I am 73 now going on 74 in October. It went like this "Sunrise, Sunset quickly go the years. One season following another laden with happiness and tears". Carter voice is cracking and registering in a lower octave. I remember going through that. Kaydee in the last video he was helping Josh with the wiring in the Air BNB. Ellie is the consummate artist. I believe that as WWOG continues she will be the designer for built homes in the future. Josh you and Erin are such wonderful parents and they are like they are because of your examples. Such Love and patience with your growing children. Time goes by so fast pretty soon Carter eyes will turn to some cute young lady and then comes his turn to marry and so with Kaydee. I hope that Ellie stays with you two a bit longer than the boys. But that is the way the circle of life. I hope these videos continue to be shared because it reminds of the Walton's a family TV show of many years ago. Glad you took time out to have a family outing and happy to see that Josh made it up and down the lighthouse stairs. LOL! Love you guys.

I get it Josh...I don't like heights either...My knees get shaky .. I get a tingle down my spine and I get cold sweats...But once I'm up there I'm ok and tend to settle down.. Great to see Y'all taking a break from the Homestead and having some fun.... God Bless
