Same just happened to me bro! Just bought the Xmaxx 3 days ago, ran it twice and the stock servo went!! Didn't even get a full 2nd run, maybe 20mins in. Complete BS. Did you replace with the 2085X or a different brand?
I haven’t replaced it yet. I made a big stink we Traxxas about it. One tech said basically it’s a toy dude. I assume saying this is gonna happen. I wrote to the CEO after that phone call. They’re sending me another stock one. If that fails I’ll get the upgrade. I think it’s in the manufacturing. Guys with older ones before Covid are not having all these issues. What should in my opinion happen is II send it to them and they install the new servo. For the money we paid and to get the 6700 batteries plus another set of 5000. If my brand new Ford had a recall I’d send it to the dealer and they install any parts. Traxxas gets to just send them to me and I have to do all the work🤬
I've had a bunch of issues with my xmaxx surprisingly my servo is not one of the issues but I have a 1230 sg savox laying around and the adapter so im getting ready to throw it in to avoid the future issues the servo will probably have and just sell the stock servo

How did the Savox 1230 mount up in the adapter? I know the 1230 is is taller than most servos. Are you still running it?
It mounted right up no issues at all. Yep, still running it and it’s working like a charm. Thanks for watching
