As an American, I only ever heard of her because of her Fuck You song (which is awesome). Now I am an even bigger fan. Deforestation is only part of the problem. Even when forests are re-planted, it is usually with monocultural trees (only 1 or 2 timber species). Good for business; bad for the ecosystem.
