The other guy your thinking of is Kitou, and no, he didn't block the kick in the light novel, either. Hashimoto did. Instead, kitou took off gloves to fight Kouenji for insulting her but she called him back.
I found the animation of the kick wasnt rly all that impressive but I liked the episode itself cant wait for next episode where kouji rescues a top 3 best girl
Ya know its kinda funny. A girl like Sakayanagi making light jabs at Ryuuen because of his name. If Ryuuen wanted, he could commit verbal genocide at the expense of Sakayanagi's, "condition." given the fact that she walks with a cane. Instead of trying to kick her (and lets be honest, we all know Sakayanagi is not long for this world before her heart disease takes her) say something like, "I might be a Dragon Boy, but at least ill live past the age of 30." just my analysis.
I don't think PPL comment about others condition or offend others Names are fine I don't think ryuen is type of guy who would insult verbally like amature and he knows he is incapable of defeating arisu
