- I have been wanting to visit Kedarnath ever since I was a child. I finally got a chance to fulfill my bachpan ka sapna and I couldn’t be more thankful. Whatever you have heard about the enchanting and mesmerizing aura of Kedarnath, it is true. In this video, I have given a detailed explanation on my travel and journey to Kedarnath from Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport, my stay options & what it felt like to finally reach Kedarnath, so make sure you watch to the end.
I took the helicopter ride to Kedarnath from the Sitapur helipad which is about 26 km ahead of Guptkashi. The fare of the five seater helicopter came to ₹7347 per person approx for a round trip. Pilgrims can also book one way ticket too. It will cost ₹3200 per person approx. Extra charges are taken for priority darshan for the same day passengers.

Always book ur helicopter well in advance or go walking but don't do khacchar/horse because thr these mute animals are going thru a lot entire day.
It is not 16 km , anyone who is a trekker they know it’s 25/26 kms from Sumo stand … anyone who has been to Vaishnodevi and finds it hard pls book a helicopter ride don’t be harsh on donkeys 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I just visited Kedarnath taking a the way on Foot and I will recommend the foot route bcz you will experience the power of Lord Shiva within you as the trek is not an easy task for the people who are not into sports or daily physical activities. Going with Helicopter will not have that experience of Divinity. The route is more than sixteen Km actually but there are many shorcuts you might take when there is no rain there , please don't try these shortcut routes if there is rain in the valley , Jai Kedarnath , Har Har Mahadev Jai Shiv Shambhu :)

It's ok for us young people to trek. But I want to take my parents to kedarnath my father who is a huge devotee of Lord Mahavdev and a CKD pateint and mother an osteoporosis patient this helipad looks quite helpful and this video is what I was looking for so long on how to make this trip possible.

Life me jitne kathnaiya aap par krte ho himmat rakh k bhagwan pe bharosa rakh k kya wo maan me bhakti nahi lati.
Bas maan me bhakti honi chahiye baki aapke karam.
Flying in helicopter and reaching kedarnath is cool, but nobody can beat that 16 km trek (which is actually 26km) you jstt feel you are walking to the heaven! That experience of trek, and the hardwork reaching there makes kedarnath a greatt place. Also if you are not staying there for a day, you're missing out tooo much!
make sense for people who are physically able to do that but sometimes it's tougher with ageing parents who want to travel but can't because of their health.

I had visited kedarnath on 26th May this year by taking foot trek.. It's very beautiful as well as tiring. You can enjoy very beautiful eye-catching sights during foot trek, water falls, glacier , beauty of the valley.. Mandakini river..etc etc..But it's worth by all means. Har har mahadev. ❤

My wife and me visited Kedarnath in 2015 just 3 yrs after the CloudBurst. We took the temporary route which was 8 km longer than the usual 17 km route. Enroute, we experienced a lot of emotional challenges, physical as well. These are somethings which cannot be showcased on a video. The ethereal experiences which a person experience when on a trek to places like Kedar-Badri, Amarnath cannot be experienced from an eagles eye view, more or less using a chopper ride. Will recommend whoever going after watching the video, wear comfortable clothing, rain jacket in handy and snow friendly shoes as in some parts, the roads are made through glacier.
Staying overnight in Kedarnath is allowed and there is GMVK container houses as well as camps by Indian Army as temporary settlement. All the best who are travelling there. Jai Jai Shiv Shambhu

We trekked the 22 km long journey on foot. I was bit tough but very amazing experience.

previously to reac kedarnath was a nightmare but our prime minister is kedarnath devotee and took personal interst to develope it to current state; even trekkin by foot road and helicopter service was introduced by him

I visited kedernath in 2008. I was in primary school at that time. Your video just took me to that good days. At that time we stayed at a gaurikund in a hotel. From the hotel balcony, the view of the mountains was really amazing.I really remembered that view till now. From gaurikund, we need to trek about 18 kilometres. Then only we can reach the kedernath temple.

Shri Kedarnath is a holy religious place. Visit here only if you are devoted towards Lord Shiva, and to seek His blessings. Its not a place for "beautiful location" and "view" and if this is your intention, then you will definitely never get a chance.

Well i prefer to walk because jo Gaurikund se kedarnath pedal se thakte thakte jakr shivji ka pass ponchte hi thakan khatam aur darshan milne se jo sukoon hai was a wonderful experience for me ; aur waha local ka manna hai kedarnath jana se pehle Trijuginarayan jarur jaye waha pr shiv ji aur parvati mata ka shaadi hue thi visnu dev ke samne aur waha 3-4 generation se jali hue aag hai mene waha pehle gaya tha kedarnath jane se pehle…..aur just remember to bring warm clothes and money on cash. Waha jio network ache se milte hai.. oxygen ki thodi kami hai(just reminding)
