Awake made me an ARMY. I was watching the content and I liked the tannies, but when I heard Awake for the first time, I was left breathless. It is impossible for me to listen to this song without crying. I love all of them, but Jin has a very special part of my heart.

jin made 'abyss' in 2020, when he was actually depressed. he didn't tell anyone but he got burnt out after bts skyrocketed even more internationally after the release of 'dynamite.' all the people congratulating him made him feel like he didn't deserve it, especially when he thought others deserved it more than him.
although people tend to think jin is cocky and overconfident, he is a deeply mature person who is his harshest critic. from learning how to sing and dance as a trainee who suddenly switched careers from acting to musician, he made such an incredible impact on everyone and it is so impressive. he used to be so insecure of his 'lack of talent' according to himself, along with his looks, his face/body, his personality, and his future. hence, why the 'worldwide handsome' nickname came. he is such an incredible advocate for self love, and he deserves that same amount of love directed back at him

I totally agree with your assessment of him. And each one of the boys admires him. For his efforts and dedication. He set an example. They used to say that Jim used to practice tirelessly in secret and that he was the one who improved the best from zero to now. He is now in a good place with himself. 💜💜💜💜 his voice and high notes are beautiful.
Fun fact: when jin performed awake and epiphany in japan during those 2 tours he got standing ovation. The only kpop idol to get it. In japan standing ovation is highest form of appreciation

that's my bias!! awake is my favorite bts song of all time, the meaning behind it, the music, the vocals...it's just so perfect for me!
jin is overlooked in so many ways, from his emotions to his intellect to how much he takes care of bts. although tae scolded jin for not dancing fast enough even though he tried his best, he apologized to tae maturely and was even caught blinking back tears backstage watching the others comfort taetae (19:18 and 20:00). no one comforted him :( he is incredibly smart and talented, from the puzzles and sports in run bts to being invited to two prestigious universities in korea! and his emotional intelligence is just beyond comprehension, he's so subtle and knows exactly how to change/set up the mood. our jinnie takes such good care of the members and ARMY, like feeding and buying jungkook's food since he was in high school (at their debut time) to starting his mukbang 'eat jin' lives to help anyone that needs it with their eating disorders :( seokjin is such a precious soul, thank you so much for this reaction

One of my favourite anecdotes about Wings era is from, "Awake."
Japanese concert audiences (for most genres other than Metal/Punk), are known for being polite & relatively quiet. Even for Idol music, they tend to show their appreciation by listening closely, rather than with loud applause and/or cheering that might interrupt the performance.
Jin received an ovation every night that he performed, "Awake," when they toured Japan. The song & his performance are so deeply felt and beautifully expressed, it kindles empathy in the listener across cultural boundaries.
Jin is my comfort, truly. His songs, his voice, and his existence bring light to my life. He always inspires me to be better by his hard work. He has a pure heart and his lovely eyes and smile warm my heart. In one word, he is very precious. I really enjoyed your reaction. Thank you~

I'm so glad you checked out these songs! By the way, Abyss was released after BTS ranked #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and Jin went through a period of burnout and imposter syndrome where he questioned if he was worthy of receiving all that praise. He was struggling and talked with Bang PD who advised him to write a song and that is how Abyss came to be. Jin wrote a very honest Twitter post about his feelings at the time that I recommend checking out.
Also, that first song in the Multitalented King video is a cover of Seo Taiji's Come Back Home that BTS performed at their Fourth MUSTER. I think the OG vid was deleted but I recommend reacting to the video titled "BTS-Come Back Home Türkçe Çeviri" for a good quality vid.

Awake always gives so many goosebumps and differenet emotions. It feels like I'm getting freed or like a weight is lifted of me. It's an amazing somg and Jin's voice makes it even better. Moon is one of my favorite songs ever from anyone. I knew immediately when I heard it the day MOTS7 released. And the lyrics are so beautiful. When you get to watch Bon Voyage you’ll see the moment Jin came up with the concept in season 4 🥰 also I love hearing the other members singing the gang vocals in the bridge!

I miss him so much 😭 He has brough so much happiness and comfort into my life just like the other members. Idkw but I always tend to get obsessed with his solo song when BTS' releases albums like that, they are so catchy! Anyways, he has been a huge inspiration for me and he's the person who taught me to love myself the most. I still can't believe he had zero musically experience. He must have worked so hard to get to where he is now and be incredibly good. I'm so SO proud of him. 💜

Jin is such an underrated member of BTS but I think he is the ACE of BTS. He is the King of ballads and soft rock songs. Yoongi is my bias but I still chose Jin's Epiphany to be my alarmclock and I wake up every morning hearing that I should love myself. My heart always hurts when I hear him talk about not being good enough, that he is not as good as the other members and he sometimes feels like a burden to them. Our WWH is such an amazing and hardworking talent and I am looking forward to the release of his album. I think he is going to blow our minds and I hope ARMY will support him and show him that we don't think he is less than the others.
