I agree! I am recently married, and while engaged my then fiancee and I went on a Trip to St. Louis with another couple, and we stayed at a mutual friend's apartment. Everyone slept on the floor cuz she had no furniture! This really was a great question!

Hey lovely Camisha!!! Haha I am so glad you found yourself in the place of many wondering this same exact question! I love their response because it's so true, don't set yourself up for temptation! I believe that if I were to travel with my future boyfriend, I would rather us be in a Christ centered group or with family. I am involved in a campus ministry where if a student's partner come in from out of town, they will stay with one of the guys while here in the city (same when a girlfriend comes in, she can stay with one of us!). We set that up so there will be no room for a high rise temptation fall of any sort. Plus, I think its more fun to travel in groups or with family because you get to build that bond while also having others around. You can save the more personal one on one intimate bond building for marriage :)
This is a great question. I would say going forward bring a parent n you stay with your parent n he stays with his in separate rooms. Like have them chaperone you. Which if you think about it in the old days parents had to be involved in the courting process.
I know a few " christian" couples who vacationed together, who where in long distance relationship visited each other and slept in the same room together...etc They all now have kids outside of marriage. Putting yourself in a situation of temptation just sets yourself up for failure.
people just like to look at the worldly couples that travel together and want to copy that. We are not same as this world. We should make a difference and be an example.
Smh. To be expected, but then some will come around and say “Oh, separate rooms and beds... it doesn’t take all that”, or not going on those trips at all alone is unnecessary. Many of these people have not had their spirits regenerated and are pursuing the desires of the flesh in this area. It’s not good and not of God. 😔
the important thing we also have to look at beside the temptation is the image of your relationship. if you are traveling together what image or idea or you giving people or even other couples who may look up to your relationship?

Great video! My cousin's fiancé traveled 90% for work and they successfully shared some of the business trips together without failing their commitment to God before marrying. Depends on your weaknesses and buttons. If you are committed to belief in not living together prior to marriage, need to truly gauge personal space compatibility!

A family group trip is a great idea as it would be way too expensive most times to get separate rooms if you're traveling as a pair. I like your advice as well to not place yourself in a tempting situation.
The temptation will be there no different than it would if you were staying the night at your house. What convicts or is a weakness for one may not be for the other. If it is your choice not to travel with your significant other fine but don't necessarily force that conviction onto the next person. Traveling with someone in and of itself is not wrong

I, myself have done this, sleeping with my boyfriend in the same bed and while nothing happened I wouldn't do it again because we went to great lengths so that we wouldn't touch (him sleeping on one side me on the other). I would be careful about doing that Sis. We often over estimate our fleshly abilities to withstand temptation. We think we can do this or that without going "too far" close to the boundary line. Before you know it, you are close enough for the enemy to push you right on over. If the goal is to remain pure, I would AVOID sleeping in the same bed with your partner. You will have plenty of time to do so during marriage if its in God's will. Pray about that. Because even with those desires, you can still cross over easily by a little cuddle, moving too close, etc.
