Man, even though I never played this back then (console gamer), this era of music combined with just a purely for fun free-for-all deathmatch gives me massive nostalgia. I've tried a lot of the new multiplayer games- Fortnite, Overwatch, Valorant- but none of them have the same vibe older games had. People played just for the fun of playing in the past, now it feels like you play to grind a battle pass or to gain a rank, and even if you want to play for fun the gamemodes always suck (I swear any gamemodes with teammates always either have me angry, or my teammates getting angry at me). I might have to download Half Life deathmatch again and give it another go, there's always at least a few active servers.
