I get what people say about Mila getting all these solo parts, but honestly, do you think its HER fault? They even said in interviews that each and everyone sings all the bits in the studio, and who sounds best (to whoever decides it), gets it. I am not a fan of 5H nor did I vote for them on the xfactor when I saw them competing on there. I get what people say about Mila getting all these solo parts, but honestly, do you think its HER fault? Do you think she sits there saying "Im gonna sing this and this and this, and you guys do the background vocals"?
Obviously not. Its the label, producers and I don't know who..but its not the girls. They even said in interviews that each and everyone sings all the bits in the studio, and who sounds best (to whoever decides it), gets it.
Camila has the most unique voice yes, not the best maybe, but the most unique for sure. I would love for Lauren or Dinah to get more chorusses, but I don't think its them who decide who sings what, and I don't think any of them feels offended by Camila getting most of the leads. I also think she sounds amazing at most of them (for example I think Like Mariah or Brave Honest Beautiful sound AMAZING with Camilas vocals) , although sometimes I even think it would be great to have a change like in this cover.
Just think its unfair to blame Camila and give her a rough time, just because she has a unique tone and gets these solos.
What happened to groups singing the chorus together? That's what most groups have done in the past.
782anon every group usually sings the chorus together, yes. But there is always one lead singer and others harmonizing to it. In this particular song its Camila only, yes..but in many of their other songs its harmonized and one of the girls sings lead.

Not once have I said Camila DOESNT lead most of the songs, the person commenting above just said that its ONLY one person singing the chorusses instead of the group together and thats not true, yes Camila might lead most of the songs, but others still harmonize so its not JUST her singing solos (even though that is the case in some songs, yes I know).

I understand that there is usually a singer doing ad libs and runs over the chorus as the song builds up, but to have a singer lead the whole chorus the whole time on multiple songs? Listen to some En Vogue. They were a great female group.

I am not a fan of 5H nor did I vote for them on the xfactor when I saw them competing on there. I am here for the cover of the song of one of my favorite bands and in my opinion, this cover is absolutely amazing. I can see that these 5 have grown up so much from their 'fetus' days and will get better like every artist does (even my boys, yes) over time. Good job girls and rock on Harmonizers.
