Even though I prefer the straight-forward approach and simplicity of Raylib, the one thing I will give credit to Monogame with is how from jump street it's content pipeline is streamlined and already incorporated. If I'm just building a game at home for practice then yeah I don't mind having loose graphics and map assets but if I decide to take it to the next level with distribution I feel uneasy about keeping the files exposed where it can be easily modified. I tried something simple like renaming the tileset from .png to .gfx or something but Raylib will automatically reject loading it as a texture out of hand without checking the header of the file to see that it's png all along which I can understand. Earlier today I found out Raylib does have something separate called RRES so I guess I'll look more into that in the meantime otherwise I'll be spending extra time creating conversion tools or a way to lightly encrypt it.
My favorite resourses for learning are "clear code" on youtube for python and tools like chatgpt for conceptual questions. I also highly recommend joining Discord channels for things like pygame where people at or above your level can review and help you out.

Loved your tutorial on pygame ❤ What are you favorite resources to learn from and how should a beginner approach learning programming
