Nice hunt in the states we mostly use shotguns, but I like how you actually hunted next to a tree and simply used a proper aim and made clean shots. Great job sir.
nice video...I wonder how long it'll be before we're getting auto adjusted scopes..With the push of a button it'll zero itself to whatever distance you'd need...
Mat I really enjoy your squirrel hunting and I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a Daystate Huntsman Regal,(I've hunted with.22lr),and seeing how well pcp does I'm thinking.177 should be just fine 🌻
Excellent show as always Mr. Manning. That "Strange Looking" Squirrel's coloration reminded me very much of our "Fox Squirrels" that we have here in the U.S.A., although they are a bit darker on top, they have darker legs and a yellow/orange belly fur on them. That one you shot looked almost as if a "Fox Squirrel" and a "Grey Squirrel" would have crossbred. Here in the States we have a beautiful variation on the "Grey Squirrel" that is nearly completely Jet Black all over, I wonder if you'll ever have that colour phase in Britain some day. Anyway great show, and good hunting to you. William C. from the U.S.A.
I always love watching your shooting video... I also use spring airgun but sadly without scope. I always wana try out shooting with scope and for starters which one do you recomended and what price should it be
Good work on the squirrels. roughly how much energy does that air rifle produce at that range? I use a .22lr at about 50m which gives me just under 100ft\lb with subsonic ammo. Its very quiet and knocks squirrels over nicely.
Round home. The grays post lookout's. And he is a seasoned vet that screams when I put the scope on site. have to scan for this(rat) to kill off the alarm. All in a day at Tennessee USA 73 om kv4li
Hi Sam. Henry is correct - I like to mount the scope lower than the magazine permits. I also find the gun is a fraction more accurate in single-shot mode. All the best. Mat

Hi William.
That's very interesting. Yes, we already get a few black squirrels here.
All the best. Mat
I'm sure you've likely seen these before, but this is a photo of an American Fox Squirrel

Apparently they also love pumpkin, an ideal way to get rid of them after Halloween ;)
Thanks for the tip, Rob. That's got to be worth a try.

Excellent show Mat. Peanuts; the crack cocaine of the squirrel world :)

So how many did you get? Looks like a grey squirrel feast for you.

Epic
I'd love to see some high speed video of this
What is that camo head gear and where did you get it?
Hi Mat, what's the foot lbs on that FAC rifle? I am a FAC & shotgun licence holder and thinking of going on to FAC rated airrifles.
might be a silly question but does that atn rangefinder work at night
Hi Terry.
Good question. It doesn't have night vision so you'd need a light source to see what you're pointing it at.
All the best. Mat
a night vision range finder would be so handy i cant understand why nobody is making 1
Matt, are those peanuts raw or roasted?
Why do u never use a magazine?
Sam Chown scope so low cant fit it under scope

Did you get permission to use "the squirrel hunter channel" method of taking squirrels. Looks like a patent infringement lawsuit to me.
