That is a great idea! No wonder you sold them all last year. Great for Easter.
    Cheers 👍🤗

Hi Cheryl!! Yep, I just sold out and am wondering if I have time to make another batch before next weekend (my next craft show). Probably not but I may need to try to work it in! It is my last show before Easter though. Have a great week! 💖

Thank you for sharing how you do your paint your own bath bombs Tammy! I purchased everything I need to make them last year and that's where my motivation ended LOL but you've re-motivated me! 😊

oh good Melissa! I hope they sell well for you. I sold all of them over my last show, I had just enough paint pots and brushes to make 5 more for this weekend. I think I need other holidays or seasonal paint your own molds! 💖

Thanks! I was just thinking I needed to go scope out your website to see if I can find something for more year-round options 😃

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique I usually offer anything that isn't holiday related for off-season but then, during the holidays....oh man, do these fly off the shelves

    Those are so cute!
For citric acid, try Dharma Trading. They sell it in 1, 5, and 25 lb bags. (I use it for dyeing yarn.)

Thanks for mentioning this! I used to dye yarn also and totally forgot about Dharma!!

Oh Andi! Thank you so much for this! I just checked on the website and it is actually 1 cent cheaper LOL - as long as I buy 50 pounds (to save on shipping). You are awesome - and I had no idea that you use citric acid to dye yarn! 💖💖💖

yep, I'm thinking I need another couple for a more year-round product! Maybe an ornament for Christmas...that's all I've got so far 😂😂😂

What can I mix the mica with instead of Poly? Poly is toxic too 😖
What are you pricing these at? So cute!

I think your discoloration comes from your fragrance oil, not the kaolin clay. I make these kits at Easter and Christmas. I also use kaolin clay and don't have the discoloration when I use Love Spell and Monkey Farts fragrance oil. Cotton Cotton Candy discolored on me so I stick with the LS and MF. Great video!! 🐰🐥💗

HI Carrie. You may be right. Kaolin clay isn't super white though so I just assumed it gave my bathbombs a bit of an off white hue. Thanks for watching and your comment! 💖

I’ve been debating on jumping on the bandwagon for doing these for awhile. But I have to ask where did you get your sticker paper from if you don’t mind sharing.

I don't mind at all - I get mine from Online Labels. I will say they do sell pretty well at shows (not so much on line) I meant to do a Christmas themed one but ran out of time😊

Is there a recipe for the bath bomb paint?

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 80g Poly 80 to 2 g mica powder
I used to add 2-3 g oil of oil but it doesn't dry and there is a better chance of it smearing.
