I bought per recommendation by Andrew Robinson. For our living space it works flawlessly. Sound is crisp, full, and dynamic. And loud. There's either a power saving option or a latency issue if you pause media for like more than 5-6 minutes, on resuming it take 3 seconds for the bar to wake back up, but other than that no issues with it. The sub-woofer is massive and rattles my home like nature intended.
You should consider reviewing klipsch the fives powered monitors. I own a pair with a subwoofer and I'm blown away at the quality of sound they produce. They quite easily blast soundbars out of the water and include hdmi arc so these and be plugged into anything. The slam and presence they have is insane and probably better than most floorstanding speakers. Plus they look really clean and trying to not stare at them all day is a challenge lol. I think you'd like these more than any of the klipsch rp line. If you do try out the fives make sure to turn off dynamic bass eq and use a subwoofer to unlock the midrange and get higher volumes.
I made the conversion quite recently…sick of worrying about whether my 5.1 system was set correctly. Have the TV & sound-bar on the wall. Added a Denon amp, monitor audio speakers and a streamer for music. Now at peace. Finally, love your messy house. I have 3 teenagers leaving crap everywhere…losing battle.
Too late, Randy. You already made me buy the Diamond 11.4’s, which lead to the 11.cs, and then Diamond 220’s as surrounds because the 11 series had been discontinued. I think you owe it to me to review the 220’s or 225’s. I think you know in your heart, it’s the right thing to do. I’m just messin’. Thanks for everything, Randy. Luh ya!
I bought the Klipsch Cinema 600 one year ago. Excellent sound for movies and playing Spotify from my iPhone. Very good speakers with incredible, thumping subwoofer. Great value and appearance. I did need to raise my Sony Bravia up 3 inches.
My old Samsung soundbar that I had in my bedroom for years took a crap. I tried a few other soundbars to replace it but I had also decided that I want to be able to listen to decent music in my bedroom sometimes. I tried a Samsung, LG and JBL and was very disappointed in music quality. I should have tried the Klipsch 600. I bought the Yamaha 5.1 system that Best Buy has for $499. It has the RX-V385 receiver (I think that's the model). The front speakers that come with the Yamaha were pretty lacking with music so I replaced them with Sony SSCS5s. I believe I found out about them from you. And holy crap it made a huge difference. Now when I listen music it sounds really good. Honestly everything sounds good. I mostly listen to Tidal though my Roku and it sounds really good.
Great review. I actually just demo'd one of these in the 3.1 set-up. Not quite my jam (I'm a bit of a 2ch analogue nerd that only does movies occasionally), but holy hell, does this just rock! Simplest thing ever to use. Sounds great with just about any audio or video inputs especially for the price. Also unlike almost all Klipsch products it doesn't look offensive in the average living room. I've now recommended this to 4 friends, because for $700 Canadian kopecks (3.1), I can't think of anything that will work as well while also being so amazingly simple.
I bought one of these for my wife's TV. It came bar and sub in the same box. Most awkward box ever. It looked like a lamb chop or a subwoofer on a stick. Works good, one minor gripe, the pairing button is in an obscure location and a pain to get to.
@@carlsitler9071 Yeah, I ordered direct from Klipsch, they put the odd box inside a couple of huge boxes and taken them together. Then UPS left it on the front walk in the rain. Interesting time.
The controller interferes with vizio tvs. So i try to use the app to change any settings or i have my tv remote handy to push the back button after i push an imput on the sound system remote. I have the 5.1 bundle and this system is really underrated. You may not be able to change the eq to how you want to but there are presets that you can use and there are dedicated volume buttons just for the subwoofer. Ive tried more than a few sound bar systems with subs and this one blows everything out of the water. No issues with hookup or pairing either. Plugged them in and they worked without me doing anything. This is easily a 1000$ + system. Im glad i bought it and thanks for the video you helped me make a decision into buying one. Right now they are about 800 dollars for the 5.1 brand new
Sound bars have there place and purpose thanks for the review. Not everyone has the space for a large surround system or even a small system. Is it going to blow away a dedicated surround system probably not but almost any sound bar is going to blow the socks off the tiny cheap rear facing TV speakers. I've got an atmos sound bar in my bedroom and love it because it's that or the TV speakers.
You are right about this soundbar. I listened to it last black Friday season when it was on sale for $299, and the 2.1 version, the cinema 400 was only $199. I almost pulled the trigger, however, my "el jefe" aka beautiful wife (she really is beautiful) reminded me that I just bought the Sony Cores (and later the Wharfedale 11.2's). Recently, after a long time of trying to show the girls in the house how to turn on the Marantz receiver and turn the huge dial until it reads "Nintendo" or "Bluray" on the customizable display, to get sound out of the TV, I'm back in the soundbar market, for guess what, A BARGAIN SOUNDBAR. I'll keep it short, I listened to SEVERAL under the $400 range (budget under $200 realistically) and chose the LG SL4Y at Best Buy, recently on sale for $129, usually sells for $149. It's a 2.1 system (medium-sized wireless sub) and it sounds FRIGGIN AWESOME! It also sounds good with music. A close 2nd place was the Polk Signa S2 for $179 that also sounds great, but a bit less lively than the LG which was cheaper and a bit more just engaging. I URGE you to check this one out as a SUPER CHEAP AUDIO MAN VALUE SOUNDBAR. Great review, again, and can't wait for the next one! www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-2-1-channel-300w-soundbar-system-with-6-subwoofer-black/6355625.p?skuId=6355625
Just a reminder...This review is 2 years old, for those having a buzzing sound it's because Klipsch use switching power supply with crappy chinese capacitors (I repair a BAR 48 lately and it sound amazing) , the repair will not correct the intermittent bluetooth connection problem some may encounter with Klipsch bar.
This is just my opinion and.experience with TV's. You said your old 1080 tv looks sharper than your 4k does. Have you adjusted any settings on the 4k tv? If.not, I would suggest turning the backlight up all the way while also turning up sharpness. On older TV's you typically want sharpness down because the whole edge detect software was weird but on new 4k TV's turning up sharpness really brings the overall picture out.
It's good to hear that Klipsch has another gem of a sound system for a simple set-up. The Rise of Skywalker is, in my opinion, a great installment of Star Wars. I just hope that it is not the end of the saga. I just watched Shazam again thru my 5.2.2 system do to a suggestion from another reviewer and the bass within the sound track was very good. Might be worth the watch folks.
Thanks Randy for the great review. I think this is a great option for watching a lot of movies and tv. I think running this with a second system for 2 channel listening would be a great option for my space. Now I just have to get rid of a lot of stuff that this could replace.
That's what I'm doing. You can get a great sounding LG or Samsung 3.1 channel sound bar with a wireless sub for under 300, and they sound great! I got a 2.1 LG for under 200 and it's great for movies, TV, and background/entertaining music. Then, I have my nice 2 channel set up for music listening only. Super happy. Also with the sound bars I mentioned, you can add the wireless rear speakers if you ever want to.
Hi, have you noticed a very low noise like a interference in the subwoofer (sounds like "shhhh"), it is felt when you listen at a very low volume (close to the minimum) and there is silence in the room, it is even more felt if you approach the subwoofer. I also noticed that noise is when the bar sends bass to the subwoofer, if it is not playing bass it does not make the noise. I bought 2 cinema 600s and they both make the same interference noise, so it doesn't seem like a unit defect,. Do you know what it can be? ,the subwoofer is next to the bar, less than half a meter, I tried to unplug all the electrical equipment in my house (even put down the circuits from the central panel), including the wireless ones, just leave the bar and the subwoofer connected to electricity, and the noise continues, so it is not an electrical problem in my house, nor is it wireless interference. Besides if the problem were electrical or interference, the noise would be all the time, and here the noise appears only when the subwoofer receives audio data, when the bar does not send sound signals the subwoofer is silent, so I interpret that it is a manufacturing failure in some component, or is it a defect of the wireless system with which it is necessary to live. To hear the noise, 3 conditions have to be met at the same time that perhaps very few people meet them to notice it. The conditions are 1- Have the sound almost to the minimum (between 1 and 2 volume LEDs, Up to 3 volume LEDs can also be heard, after that level the sound already covers the noise). 2-The room must be completely closed and silent (nor no noise from the street or outside) 3- You have to be less than one meter from the subwoofer (or listen to it directly from the subwoofer output if you do not have a good ear) and play audio that dominates the bass, since if there is a lot of mids or treble they will cover the noise of the subwoofer. it becomes annoying when there is silence and listening at low volume Thanks!
I prefer these for the price. Perhaps subwoofer isn't as tight, but when I'm drinking and playing pool in the basement, filling the room with bass is great
Hi, would you recommend adding the Cinema 600 Sound Bato the YAMAHA RX-A4A AVENTAGE 7.1-Channel AV Receiver? I'm considering a sound bar w/SUB to be an additional component because I have to place the Subwoofer behind my TV due to very minimal space so a powered SUB won't do because I'd have to pull out my entertainment center each and every time I want to use the subwoofer. So I'm thinking Blu Tooth is the way to go . . Please help. Super NEW to the AV world here. Thanks!
Reminder that like most Klipsch products this will go on sale for Prime Day and Black Friday. I purchased mine for $400 on Prime Day 2021, not as good a deal as in the past but still well worth the $400. Movies and TV are fantastic, music is meh. I actually ended up buying a separate two channel system with an echo link vs using the soundbar for Amazon music over the TV. It truly was a night and day difference. For simple background music listening, this sound bar is fine, but I felt it lacking the soundstage and detail I desired. Hence I shelled out some additional money for a two channel system. You could easily do this sound bar for $500 and do a two channel system for $500 and have the best of both worlds. Have systems that avoid clutter and are much more aesthetically pleasing and stylish.
Damn it! After finding your channel, it led me down the TH-cam audiophile rabbit hole, and I talked myself into getting rid of my Sonos soundbar for a 3.1/receiver set up. Oh well, thanks for the review!
I had one for 3 weeks this past Xmas ... returned it. IF you care about TV sound first and foremost do get it but if you listen to music just as much I would skip it. I was constantly tweaking the sound on it going from show to show even, the sub while tameable is a behemoth. IF you have no space for a receiver and 2 speakers then by all means get it otherwise skip it.
Dude, you were talking about your HD LG TV and that you still love to use it, I have an old HD LG TV as well and you're right, there's something about the high-end HD LG panels pre-smart-tv's that just look incredible. I have multiple 4k TVs in my house but other than my OLED that I have, the HD LG TV is better looking than all of them. I don't understand how or why, but it's the best.
Nice review !!! Hoping to find reviews on Center Channels from you. Scouting pretty heavily for new gear. Moving into a house with Large living room & the kids are gone.
I had the bose 900, seemed great at first but then you realize the stereo imaging on soundbars is non existent and the dsp really is what you are hearing, returned!!
Personal opinion Klipsch sound bar. Purchased Cinema 600 sound bar in 11/2020. In January 2022 Bluetooth stopped working. And the wireless subwoofer is not connecting any more. Also bought the surround sound speakers that don't connect anymore. Many other folks are having issues with no solution per Reddit and other sites. Buy a different brand and save yourself the headache.
My main beef against "open concepts": poor/no choices for surround speakers. The ones in the Cinema 600 are powered speakers so you'll still have to deal with wires, outlets.... I'm with you with older non smart TV's, my main TV is a Panasonic plasma TV , only 1080 but a more pleasing picture than TV's with a gazillion K's! Great review.
@Douglas Blake True, but you still need outlets nearby or under the couch, or run extensions. No, not for me. Having said that, every place is sort of unique so it wouldn't be fair to generalize.
Fantastic review. Is it pretty good out of the box for those who aren’t into tweaking? I’m hoping to make this my recommendation system for relatives and friends who ask, and ask they do. Will “set it and forget it” sound awesome for those who don’t know what they’re listening for?
My room is the same dimentions as yours with room opening up to kitchen area with no wall . Do you still like this system or should i consider another system .
Great review! I’ve got the SB3 no frills or processing worth using but kinda overbuilt 1st generation with a killer sub. I have it corner loaded on 32” metal stands from the 80’s. Sounds dynamic and fail safe, hard to beat for the price
Funny that you are reviewing surround sound. I just got a free old Onkyo 5.1 system. It is not my cup of tea as I don't watch many movies and no TV. I just called my sister to see if she wants it.
Other stuff to truly test your speakers. The trailer for MI Fallout with the Imagine Dragons soundtrack! A real shame it isnt avaiable online with the uncompressed surround track anymore...
While I love my Cinema 600 5.1 sound system, I am PISSED that Klipsch has NOT DONE ANYTHING WITH THE APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where is the EQ for the app, that they have been promising for YEARS!!!???? Right now, the app is ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!!! I can't believe how HORRIBLE Klipsch has become with their customer service. That being said, your vid was great.
Randy, it’s been a while or at least since you went not so cheap. 😂 So I think I an ready to try headphones to watch TV at home (Netflix, etc.). I am tired of being told to lower the TV/music or the noise around me when I’m trying to have my little moment or ZEN time. 😂 can you please recommend a under $300 system? Please……
Do you already have the headphones? I run my Monolith M570s with a Sanskrit 2 DAC which has optical, digital coaxial and USB input ($110) into an Asgard 3 headphone amp/preamp ($200). There are so many good ways to go.
@@carlsitler9071 thanks Carl. I have the Sony WH-H900N. But was thinking of getting something new. It’s hard to test headphones. I hate to buy something, be disappointed and have to go through the hassle of returning it and start all over again. Thanks for your suggestions.
From what I read in comments where the device was for sale it seems as though the 3-1 system doesn't have the full processing to just add the rear speakers later. Can anyone confirm this?
Thank you for your content.... I trust you. 👏🏻😂 Have you listened to Dolby Atmos music tracks on the echo studio? I've been blown away by just that speaker alone... But I'm always looking for simple yet great sounding bars or speakers. I know people really like connecting two echo studios with the sub... For around $500ish... So I'm curious any thoughts, if you have any experience, in hearing that set up. Keep on- 👍🏻
I bought my cinema 600 with the surround 3 about 5 months ago I love it I got it on Amazon for $690 total all the sudden the sound bar won't power on no more it's worth nothing now do you think they will send me a new one and how do I do it I heard that they could be really nasty on the phone by the way it's not sealed the subwoofer is ported on the bottom a long rectangular port goes down to 28 Hertz awesome I'm heartbroken it took me a long time to save up for it I tried everything it won't work it was working perfectly and then one morning it wouldn't turn on no more I'm a 59 year old disabled man with a very low income Amazon only has a 30-day return policy do you know how I can return it for a new one or a refund maybe it might happen again thank God my daughter has the receipt printed on her phone what do you think please help caught your channel a couple of months ago not many reviews on the cinema 600 in English that is. Andrew Robinson gave it a good review also also the buttons on the remote wore out within a month but still I want to try it one more time and not touch the remote too much do you think they will replace it I want to send back the whole thing for a whole new one it's still brand new looking the remote looks like trash because your fingers wear off the black on the remote and the light shines through and it came with the right tweeter out of line it sticks up in the back I would very much appreciate your feedback I like your videos therefore I'm going to push the like button thank you so much. It's going to take me another month just to come up with the money to send it back my 49 in LG 4K TV broke just before that from what I heard about them the company will discourage you now what?
@@dwgwnr1969 wtf doesn't make sense either but who cares the guy spent a lot of money and got screwed and just put it out there wasn't asking anything just wanted some feedback from the reviewer to see what he had to say about $700 being wasted in 5 months on the Klipsch Cinema 600 yeah five months and it was done
*raises Hand * Is the soundbar due the hornloaded tweeters very directional or does it spread sound well throughout the room? (The couch in front of the TV is u-shaped.) I am asking because a few years ago the dealbreaker with the Klipsch RP 600m was, that placement and listeningposition was crucial for getting good or bad sound.
Both you and Mr. Robinson praise this thing. I disagree. Totally unusable in a condo or apartment. You have to crank it to 58 to hear all the details. Dialog is especially tricky to get right. The sub is earth-shattering (not a good thing) and the surrounds even when maxed, have very little sound coming out of them. I've spent a year and a half getting to know it, tweaking every possible configuration and I just can't justify the hype from other users. I got a really great deal on it however and for that, I am very grateful, but it is not a precision instrument. At low levels, my Denon 250 Bluetooth speaker outperforms it in regards to clarity, precision, and balance. Scoff if you must... Also, don't bother streaming music on the 600. It's terrible. If a Klipsch has to blasted to get the best out of it, then I guess it's not for me. If I can't hear whispers on any system running at 40%, then it's not worth the investment. With the 600, you will find your thumb always on the remote guessing at every moment or at every commercial break to adjust accordingly. Not to mention constantly getting up off the sofa to see where the modes are at because the lights are on top. I appreciate both of you though. Thanks for all the work you do.
I have this sound bar as well. And I really like it. Playing music on is pretty great as well. I have had some issues with some music sounding a little muddy, but great thing on this bar is.... I can turn down the bass. :)
I'm keeping my mouth mostly shut on this one. Everyone knows how I feel about soundbars. Other than that, good job Randy. I appreciate you stepping out of the norm, I just couldn't make it through the whole review because soundbars make my head want to explode.
After seeing this title I had a suspicion that you might be making a joke. After watching the video, I knew you had no idea what you were talking about. No soundbar is good for listening to music unless you are sitting three feet away from it. The video is the biggest disappointment ever. What you claim is physically impossible. By the way, I heard this soundbar at a friend's house. Any mini system manages better stereo sound than this soundbar.
@@Feliciano12v Yes, I have seen the whole video. It's already in the second sentence. Soundstage is not physically possible unless the speakers are arranged at a 60 degree angle to the listener in an equilateral triangle. This is not possible with a soundbar, unless you sit a meter in front of it.
@@kennethoransky4881 no opinion, facts. Soundstage is not physically possible unless the speakers are arranged at a 60 degree angle to the listener in an equilateral triangle.

Might be worth the watch folks.
i got this last summer on sale for $300 direct from Klipsch (without the surrounds) and I am very pleased with it!
The conditions are
1- Have the sound almost to the minimum (between 1 and 2 volume LEDs, Up to 3 volume LEDs can also be heard, after that level the sound already covers the noise).
2-The room must be completely closed and silent (nor no noise from the street or outside)
3- You have to be less than one meter from the subwoofer (or listen to it directly from the subwoofer output if you do not have a good ear) and play audio that dominates the bass, since if there is a lot of mids or treble they will cover the noise of the subwoofer.
it becomes annoying when there is silence and listening at low volume
Thanks!
Good to know the Klipsch soundbars come with tesla reactors in order to power the surrounds that don't have any wires 😉
How would the cinema 600 compare soundwise to the Jamo S803?
Trying to build a budget living room setup with the cinema 600 set or Jamo set.
Same but with S809.
I prefer these for the price. Perhaps subwoofer isn't as tight, but when I'm drinking and playing pool in the basement, filling the room with bass is great
Can you make more sound systems for TVs?
Can you please tell us what settings did you use on the Klipsch 600..I'm talking about Ew settings.thanks.
Sorry we settings
The problem i have with Sound bars is the off axis response. How good is the horizontal and vertical off-axis? This is pretty cool for the money.
Look like a winner of a product. Great review as usual!
Thanks!
I have the Cinema 600 plus surround 3,it sounds amazing,my question is can I add another pair of surround 3 for a 7.1 setup ?
So is the cinema 600 good for music bro?
Damn it! After finding your channel, it led me down the TH-cam audiophile rabbit hole, and I talked myself into getting rid of my Sonos soundbar for a 3.1/receiver set up. Oh well, thanks for the review!
I have this system and it’s mind blowing
Best review yet. Thank you!
Some people claim that the midbass from klipsch cinema 600 is not as strong as its lower bass. Is that true?
Randy looking like a star ! Nice review 👍🏽
Fantastic review. Is it pretty good out of the box for those who aren’t into tweaking? I’m hoping to make this my recommendation system for relatives and friends who ask, and ask they do. Will “set it and forget it” sound awesome for those who don’t know what they’re listening for?
Have you ever considered reviewing any ohm (ohm Walsh) speakers
My room is the same dimentions as yours with room opening up to kitchen area with no wall . Do you still like this system or should i consider another system .
Does the bass from the Klipsch soundbar loud enough without the subwoofer?
Great review! I’ve got the SB3 no frills or processing worth using but kinda overbuilt 1st generation with a killer sub. I have it corner loaded on 32” metal stands from the 80’s. Sounds dynamic and fail safe, hard to beat for the price
Thanks Randy, awesome way to start my day!!
I want the backstory behind the little Rubik’s Cube off in the background. Just chillin’, not illin’.
Funny that you are reviewing surround sound. I just got a free old Onkyo 5.1 system. It is not my cup of tea as I don't watch many movies and no TV. I just called my sister to see if she wants it.
Would love a shortlist of other movie scenes you like for testing HT stuff
Do you have any favorite go to movies for surround sound?
Other stuff to truly test your speakers. The trailer for MI Fallout with the Imagine Dragons soundtrack! A real shame it isnt avaiable online with the uncompressed surround track anymore...
is it better than the jbl 5.1 soundbar?
Would adding a dac between the tv and the sound bar improve overall sound quality? Not that it needs it...
I'm guessing the digital decoding is in the bar so I don't think that is possible.
Ordered the 600 for a good deal. I saw the 800 at best buy and it was way over priced. But I also live in Canada
I just ordered the cinema 600 after this review but bummed to find out that it doesn't have a sealed sub, like he said. Sigh. Great review though.
@@carlsitler9071 your suggestion is great.
And also for big boys… $$$
From what I read in comments where the device was for sale it seems as though the 3-1 system doesn't have the full processing to just add the rear speakers later. Can anyone confirm this?
Emmmmm Cinnabon 600. I like it already.
Thank you for your content.... I trust you. 👏🏻😂
Have you listened to Dolby Atmos music tracks on the echo studio? I've been blown away by just that speaker alone...
But I'm always looking for simple yet great sounding bars or speakers.
I know people really like connecting two echo studios with the sub... For around $500ish...
So I'm curious any thoughts, if you have any experience, in hearing that set up.
Keep on-
👍🏻
Saturday speaker shootout!!! When???
Great review as usual. Have you ever seen the movie Super 8? The train crash scene is awesome for a surround sound test.
That scene was awesome!
Got one and Love it!!
Wtf are u asking?
@@dwgwnr1969 that dude died I got his phone now I don't think he was asking you anyting
@@michaelhopkins5531 what? Ok..the whole thing doesn't make sense
Did you enjoy the 600? I've just purchased mine.
Great video as usual.
This or The Fives?
Do we have to sit before grabbing coffee? .. That's proving to be a conflict.
This looks perfect for my mom after it goes on sale 50 times.
*raises Hand * Is the soundbar due the hornloaded tweeters very directional or does it spread sound well throughout the room? (The couch in front of the TV is u-shaped.)
I am asking because a few years ago the dealbreaker with the Klipsch RP 600m was, that placement and listeningposition was crucial for getting good or bad sound.
Randy: It doesn’t have a digital coaxial input
Me: 😦🤢🤮
Such a fan of audio...get yourself an OLED so you can experience the same with your video!
This soundbar costs more than my TV.
I have this sound bar as well. And I really like it. Playing music on is pretty great as well. I have had some issues with some music sounding a little muddy, but great thing on this bar is.... I can turn down the bass. :)
Hows the bar holding up? ive just purchased mine.
@@harkisingh I think I have had it sense December of 2019 and it's great. No issues!
Why Pirates of Carraibean cover in polish? 😂
I thought it was cool
Too bad it can only play the most basic Dolby Digital signal. Not even Dolby Digital Plus.
Just found this at GW for 50$ ❤
Soundbars are not for me at all... Not saying it's bad but it's far from what I want to hear
Let's celebrate the fact that he never called it Klips, not even once.
Please tell me those plants aren't fake. I can't ever watch your channel again if you have giant fake plants in your living room.
17,000 children lol
I'm keeping my mouth mostly shut on this one. Everyone knows how I feel about soundbars. Other than that, good job Randy. I appreciate you stepping out of the norm, I just couldn't make it through the whole review because soundbars make my head want to explode.
That movie is horrible.
You forgot to add IMHO.
Did you actually watch the whole video and listen to his comments?
@@Feliciano12v Yes, I have seen the whole video. It's already in the second sentence. Soundstage is not physically possible unless the speakers are arranged at a 60 degree angle to the listener in an equilateral triangle. This is not possible with a soundbar, unless you sit a meter in front of it.
@@kennethoransky4881 no opinion, facts. Soundstage is not physically possible unless the speakers are arranged at a 60 degree angle to the listener in an equilateral triangle.
@@djeasy5899 so no audio system even a 2 channel system can't provide sound staging unless the speakers are placed at an exact 60 degree angle?
