Eminem's verse, "patiently waiting for Pinocchio to poke his nose" is a reference to 50 Cent's song, "Patiently Waiting"...love y'alls videos man, watch every one of them!
I've been watching your channel since damn near the beginning, maybe a couple of videos in. The slow transformation of dad into a hip hop head has been a fun watch
The story of Kanye having to re-write his lyrics after hearing Em's reminds me of the one told where Big heard Bone's lyrics and had to go home and come back harder for Notorious Thugs.
Love you both, the connection you have, teaching and learning from each other. This channel has impacted a lot of people positively. Much love South African fan❤️🇿🇦
This is an insane comeback for Eminem. Knowing that they are all are at they peak. Relapse wasnt even bad, it was different and is definitely worth to listen to, even important because of the dark era. Its more admirable that next year eminem peaked again with 2 huge singles and a great album going a step into his new life.
@@zakariahmardon5702 idk if it’d be top 3 for me, I’d have to sit down with the track lists and weigh them against each other to figure out the actual rankings for me, but that’s not because the albums bad. Just that eminem has a lot of music xD. But underground, careful what you wish for, beautiful, bagpipes from Baghdad, elevator, and a couple other songs off that album go hard.
@@zakariahmardon5702 No way, I know it’s just your personal opinion, but it was full of too many strange accents, and even Eminem has said that many times. In Not Afraid he said “That last Relapse album was ehhh, perhaps I ran them accents into the ground.”
Kanye verse stays so underrated. He's the only one that raps about what the song is actually about. Drake wants the fame while Kanyes verse is warning him of what it comes with
This is an awesome way to interact with your dad, showing him something you're passionate about and him actually caring and partaking as much as he does! If I tried this with my dad he'd probably just start yelling "THIS ISN'T MUSIC!" 😂 I have a great relationship with ym dad but this would be a no go lol
@frontroom The Pinocchio verse is actually a reference to the Mariah Carey ft Gucci Maine song about Eminem. Mariah claimed he was lying about them sleeping together, in response Eminem released a song and at the end played voicemails from a seemingly smitten Mariah that she had left on his phone. During Eminem’s hiatus, Mariah then released “obsessed” (I think that’s the title) ft Gucci where I believe Gucci calls Em Pinocchio. Forever was the first time Eminem had been on any song since the Mariah “diss track” was released, so naturally he referenced it. 😊 (Tips hat and walks away)
I thought the time line was more like em talks about Mariah on bagpipes from Baghdad, she then responds with obsessed and then em properly disses her with the warning.
I wish I could’ve done this with my dad before he passed. My dad was born in the 50s. A bastion of classic rock, The Stones, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Mellencamp, he taught me all that. Later in life though, he would record like the Tupac and Biggie show that was on USA or Atlanta stuff that I wanted to watch that maybe he wasn’t super into but he knew if he recorded it I’d watch with him and that was more time spent with his son. But then he’s get into it just as much as I did. He’d ask questions about like the biggie and Tupac stuff. I feel like he would’ve been perfect for this type of thing. Plus, it would’ve been more time spent with his son.
