nice that you found this. I wouldn't have ever seen one without this video! (I have seen it driving past davis costco a few times when i was younger, but didn't know it was old and rare.)
A true classic indeed! This is beautiful! It's so nice that both of you documented one of the rarest trucks out there. WMX colors bring back so many good memories, it's a shame to see that 15 years ago this was a common sight. This was extraordinary footage! Liked and Faved!
I like how it shows both the old school and new school waste management logos on the same truck. I think this was when they were phasing in the new corporate colors and logo
Those Kann CoCollector bodies are circa 1996 and still look to be in pretty decent shape! Not bad for 17 years in service! I also believe that the bodies have been remounted onto their 2nd or 3rd chassis in that 17 year span. Really cool, Thanks!
I used to work for WMAC and I have to tell you your trucks are great! I drove this unit many times and it never failed me. The continuous setting on the packers is awesome and no matter what I threw in there it would chew it up. Thanks for the great product!
Wow! This really brings back memories.... that truck originally was a Valley Waste Mgmt. Truck in Walnut Creek. When VWM went automated it was sent to Oakland. She was named "Christine" cuz she was a sexy beast and one hella good truck. I drive her many times. And just so Ken from Kann Mfg knows that is the original chasis. They haven't put the body on a new chasis yet at all. It's the original beauty straight outta the factory.
Nice work! Really like seeing the WMX carts collected by a WMX truck. That 30 cascade with the big wheels was cool too. Really enjoyed this truck. Makes me wish it was still around, or if it is, i really should find it haha great video! Classic truck right here.
McNeilus M/A on a Peterbilt 320. It was actually pretty beast, and the driver was ridiculously friendly. I would have gotten some footage of it as well, had we not been on such tight time constraints. I figured this took priority, because WMX. Yup.
@Thrash 'N' Trash Productions.....Here in Oakland the Garbage Truck Drivers still have to get out their trucks to dump trash into the truck......outside of Oakland they don't have to .....Hopefully that makes sense.....Thank-You

yeah... the big-wheeled cascade was funny.
yeah it sucks it was around until 2015. could've been filmed then
Great work! It's such an awesome truck, paint scheme is lovely.
Awesome footage man, really cool to see something like this!
super cool
I remember this garbage truck
Again nice work...so recycling was done by California Waste Solutions, do you know what truck collects those carts in this area?

I wish WM would go back to the burgundy colour scheme. I dunno i find the forest green with white cabs to be so basic and uniform.
Nice WMX truck

good job!!
what are the green carts for?
brown carts
gray carts?
Brian OReilly Green=Compost, Grey=Recycle, and Brown=Landfill
I live near, I see them all the time
are the brown carts 30 gal size?
😎
why he has the packer running makes no sense
I agree! he should just let it all build up in the hopper
:)
