- Before Mario Maker died, I went back and downloaded around 60+ TROLL levels from some of the best minds in the troll business! Today we are checking Defender's very first troll level ever called: "Carfully Carfted Hot Carbage"

"You don't see troll levels like this anymore." - Yeah, that's because this level is garbage. It was my first troll level ever and the pacing, communication, and level flow... well, I learned a lot of what NOT to do from this level. At least I had the foresight to name it such to warn the player that it will be hot carbage...
😂 I mean, as a troll level creator you know which pieces of your content are good and what’s not. As we are the pea brain players who run around trying to figure out how to beat it for 2+ hours it’ll usually seem good to us 🤣

I think you're being way too harsh on your first level defender. Sure it had some enemy spam at the beginning and stuff, but the rest is damn creative, especially for a 1st level! Don't be too harsh on yourself mate

Y'know... now that MM1 has a finite amount of levels, it's possible to clear out all the uncleared levels!

Mario Maker 2 had some great troll levels, but there's nothing like the magic of Mario Maker 1 trolls. We don't get sent back to CP1 as often.
Most trolls in MM2 that send you to CP1 do it intentionally for clearing it instead of actually reverting you back to that point.
@@rpgmaster2884 Either that or the level has a clear condition which means it has no checkpoints.
Well after a few months of constantly getting sent back to CP1 it got a little stale and repetitive. SMM2 Troll levels found a lot of other ways to mess with people

Dave! You were right! The spikes in mario maker 1 do kill you if they are on a semisolid platform!
I believe there was a glitch where you could make a thowmp follow the movement of a wall-spiny. That would explain the horizontal movement and the weird up word motion, however I’m not sure if it’s patched

In my opinion, there are so many amazing troll levels in SMM1 that cannot be recreated in SMM2.

I really feel like Mario Maker 1 had a lot more troll potential than Mario Maker 2. There were lots of things that got removed, like being able to stack pretty much anything in the same spot. And being able to put things in the starting space.

Fun Fact: Given the 9 digit code, the theoretical max number of levels that can exist in MM2 is a little over 10^14 (not that we'll ever reach it, if every person currently on earth made 133 Nintendo online accounts, and uploaded the max number of levels on each account, we'd get pretty close to that but still not quite reach it [134 accounts each would reach it though])

I'm really curious about how those "sideways" thwomps worked.
There was a pretty well known glitch in MM1 where you could stack a launcher on top of something, then stack something on the launcher, delete the launcher and whatever you put on top of the launcher would stay in the stack so when whatever was on the bottom moved, so would the top.

People bitched and cried about the changes from MM1 to MM2 but when you go back to old MM1 levels you can see what garbage that used to be considered a good level. This level specifically actually holds up fairly well.

I found a troll level in Super Mario Maker for 3DS that I really liked called JebaitoChan's Pooptato Stew. I know this comment is a few months after this video was posted, but I would definitely recommend that level.

I think t best troll in a troll level is a sequence of legit gameplay that has no trolls but has a lot of obviously wrong options that are clearly and obviously wrong just to unease the player
