    I learned quite a bit about corn planters today! You should have washed that planter before you started working on it ;) Nice work on the intro and ending!!!

      DeHaven Family Farm I need a new pressure washer first! Yeah, not much to do so I been playing with my video editor! If farming doesn't work out, maybe I'll head to Hollywood! Lol

    Yep, it may not look like spring just yet but, it's time to start getting the planter ready. Good info on the sensors & possible cause of the skips. Stay safe.

      +crslyrn thanks you and thanks for watching! Spring has sprung!

    Wow the optic sensor looked like the same as the one in oil fired furnace . If it got smut on it it would shout off burner . Hey like your intro!

      Scott’s Small Farming and Things . Thanks Scott! I would guess they are about the same type of sensor

    Love the new intro! Yes this is where the Solo Shot would be a nice to have. Keep up the Spring maintenance, Spring will eventually come. Have you ordered your seed? Can you get a shorter season variety?

    • @LVFFarmVlogs
      @LVFFarmVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AKWayne S thanks Wayne. I have all my seed already. I did order a shorter day corn. Beans are still a 1.9 maturity, but they'll be fine! Yes, that soloshot would be awesome, maybe someday I can afford one!

    You could do s.o.s. signals with those sensors 😁. Whats a sensor run these days? Whos combine is that at the end..and what model is it?

    • @LVFFarmVlogs

      Thanks. That is my 4400 combine at the end!

    I don't think my planter had sensors I have to get out of the tractor and check the drill and that makes me sad. Oh well I guess I don't have to plant 1000's of acres, but sensors would be cool.

      AndersonCattleCo. At the end of each row I always look to see that seeds are falling out of each row because you never know if the sensors are working right!

    Every time I hear that intro music, I think of "The Worlds Okest Farmer" channel. Lol. At least they make them easy enough to swap out. Are they more expensive than any other through beam photo eye, since it's machine specific?

    • @LVFFarmVlogs
      @LVFFarmVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Denny's Country Life not sure if they are brand specific! Deere and Kinze are the same

    What monitor do you use on that planter? And it looks like when the planter is working correctly the sensors all cause individual lights to light up?

    • @LVFFarmVlogs
      @LVFFarmVlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its a Dicky John Monitor, don't remember the model number right off hand. Yes the lights flash every time a seed passes the sensor, and if a light doesn't flash in a certain time period it will set off the alarm to alert you that a row isn't working

    So let me get this straight the brush fools computer into thinking it is seed in the tube?

      LVF & Northern Wisconsin Farming looks as so you could use a new brush that one looks to have seen better days😂😂 lol

    • @LVFFarmVlogs
      @LVFFarmVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah, its got another 10 years left in it!

    • @DennysCountryLife
      @DennysCountryLife 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Being that it's a photo eye, it will see anything that breaks the through beam. I like how they offer the brush to clean the tube at the same time you check the sensor.

      Denny's Country Life same concept as the photo optic eyes on my lasers I ran! You know, osha requirements! Lol

    Waht's zup? Lot of corny videos lately hugh? You'll be dry in no time if it stays up in the 60's with little rain for the rest of April. Well, except for your waterway. Snow is mostly gone here except for up to 1.5 feet deep behind the crest of the hills where the blizzards had fun. Frost is about 4 inches down so I haven't been stuck...yet!

      Digby O'Dell yes, the ground should dry fast now!
