Yes she could, running away is childish, disrespectful and insulting. Since he mustered up the courage and risked rejection to propose to her, she should have mustered up the courage like a sensible grownup to decline, instead of taking flight. Though I don't believe that proposing is courageous, it's a stupid mind game women use to test men to see if they're willing to take it a step further to the detriment of their dignity. If a guy didn't commit anything wrong what is it to learn from rejection? Why assume it's always the men's fault? What if it's the girl's? Men are always ordered by women, to "learn" and "move on". This mindset serves to vindicate women as though they're infallible divine beings while men have to always question themselves and "learn" from mistakes they might not have made. Holding men accountable for not wronging a woman, is destructive, it will cause the man to always be in constant search for the mistake and never be able to pinpoint it because it's not his to begin with! Blaming men for women's part is unjust. Some improvements have to be made, when there are mistakes made. Also some women want guys to change, I mean if a guy is a simp or a toxic person, the woman must cut them off, no doubt, but if the man is genuinely being himself and is asked to change to please women, HELL NO! God, why didn't people think about how that girl felt. The man put her in an awkward position. Proposing to her in public is literally manipulation. Of course she was scared, of course she ran away. By doing this, he doesn't give her a choice because there are people around and they will judge you if you say no. Maybe things would have been different if he hadn't proposed in public. I don't think she deserved to be treated that badly. She just made her choice. The man should have been prepared for her to say no, but instead he acted like a coward and manipulated her.
You have a victim mentality. First I think this video is staged and fake. But for the sake of argument let’s say it is real…she could have simply stood him up and gave him a hug saying let’s walk and talk about it. Much more mature response than running away like a 4 year old.
