I remember visiting York a few years ago and stumbling across this place Honestly the best takeaway place I’ve come across Staff were lovely too which made it better
Whenever I get the next opportunity, I'm heading up north. For the beautiful countryside, the amazing food, and the off chance that I get to run into Danny unfolding the iconic table and chair.
I actually went to York from Toronto, with my Scottish grandfather, 30 years ago, and I still remember going to a pub for dinner and ordering chili and being surprised it was served in a big Yorkshire pudding with peas on top. Now I’m not complaining because it was good, but it was weird. I loved that city. Walking around the old town, exploring the historical sights. I touched a Roman built wall and felt the energy of history. Beautiful place.
