  • First, every journey that we've taken has all been without the aide of a professional. I must say that we would do it all exactly the same way again. This has been one of our most breathtaking moments to date! Yessssss we were nervous but, we had fun!! I was extremely impressed with Senaga’s presence. Especially when she sneezed and my chest vibrated. On our return trip, we were supposed to visit Kunta Kinteh island on the way back but were exhausted and decided to do this on our return trip to The Gambia. But we did stop at off at a local market in Barra to try to find some spicy peppers… What an experience this was! This market was so busy that it was hard to take in everything, but we found some really HOT peppers and made some new experiences.

I went to Senegal, including travelling south. But a native guy told me that in that reserve they were only 5 or 6 lions left, and that it wasn't really worth to go there.
Now that I see that video, I wonder what kind of narcotic pills they give them ; the lions look so apathique! 😂

@@kandu.letsgo4072 I believe they grew up with humans from birth and therefore are tamed rather than drugged. When a Lion has eaten well it doesn't want to move much, just relaxes and takes several naps. I would love to experience this in 2022. I can't get Kate or anyone to answer the telephones though. Maybe they are closed?

    • @ezequielc11

@KandU.letsgo Start by visiting and supporting Niokolo-Koba National Park which holds the last remaining population of wild lions in Senegal. Fathala is a theme park and those lions have probably been sedated for the amusement of tourists that know no better.
