But that's not the big deal, it's the 5-6 or so clear cut pens that were not called on Canada that robbed Sweden of 10-ish minutes of power play. It was straight out silly, and it would have been a completely different game if the refs were not picking a side.
So what about all the hookings, high sticks and other things that were not called on Canada? Sweden were robbed of 10+ minutes of PP. And the goal was correctly whistled down, so don't even bring that up. I'll stop with the refs when you stop bribing them.

I still remember that quarter-final between our teams in Helsinki, I thought I'd die at some point because there was so much action in that game. But I doubt that's (gold medal game between our teams) going to happen anytime soon, succeeding in u20 tournaments requires so many things to go right. And it's very ironic that now that we have more top prospects than ever before, they just cant play as a team, unlike before. Not every hockey coach in Finland is Jukka Jalonen.

Sweden out played Canada for a majority of the game. They were strong on the puck. But of course good teams find a way to win. I thought the refs did a good job and all the penalties were justified. Best part of this game, wasn't in Canada.
Sweden out played Canada for a majority of the game. They were strong on the puck. But of course good teams find a way to win. I thought the refs did a good job and all the penalties were justified. Canada came up big when needed and won the game. Thank you Sweden for the great game, you have my respect. Cheers from Canada.
