- This was the weirdest thing ever, but aside from the drama, this was an amazing day at Dodger Stadium.
It started by getting up close to some big-name pitchers in the bullpen including Walkler Buehler, Kenley Jansen, and Joe Kelly. Corey Seager was there too standing in at the plate. When batting practice got started, I went back to the new Home Run Seats, caught a bunch of baseballs, and ate a ton of free food during the game.
Shout-out to the Colorado Rockies (and especially Justin Lawrence) for being entertaining and generous during BP. 1) tossed by a security guard below the pavilion in center field

3) ground-rule double by the Rockies during BP in left-center field (this was the ball that we didn't get a shot of, FYI)
4) BP homer by the Rockies that bounced down from the pavilion
5) thrown by a Rockies player; dropped by fans up above into the walkway
6) BP homer by the Rockies; ran down the stairs from the Home Run Seats to retrieve it behind the center field wall
7) thrown by a Rockies player; ran down the stairs from the Home Run Seats to retrieve it behind the center field wall
8) BP homer by Matt Adams; ran down the stairs from the Home Run Seats to retrieve it behind the center field wall
9) thrown by a Rockies player; ran down the stairs from the Home Run Seats to retrieve it behind the center field wall
10) thrown by Dodgers center fielder A.J. Pollock before the 9th inning; ran down the stairs from the Home Run Seats to retrieve it behind the center field wall
So yeah, everything about this day (July 24, 2021) was weird including the baseballs that I got. Thanks to "Fenway Chris" for filming, and thanks to me (!!) for editing. Finally, big thanks to YOU for watching.
To anyone who has not had the opportunity to run into Zack at a game, he is just as super friendly and genuine as he appears on TH-cam. He doesn't turn anyone away who wants a picture or an autograph. He must autograph hundreds of baseballs and take hundreds of pics throughout a game. My little 6 year old nephew Mikey is in the video getting an autograph. He asked Zack how he caught the Gardner homerun in NY and Zack gave him a play by play of how he caught it and even re-enacted it step by step. He later tossed him one of the balls he got and another one to my daughter Taylor. Mid game my other daughter Kaitlyn caught an AJ Pollock mid inning toss up (it's shown in the video). She asked Zack to sign the ball and not only did he sign it, he asked her if she had an IPhone, and he airdropped the clip to her phone so she had the video. After the game he took a pic with all of us and Fenway Chris was kind enough to also sign a ball for my nephew Daniel who couldn't be there. Even though Zack was disappointed by getting shut down by the Dodgers you couldn't tell because even with no cameras rolling on him he was just as friendly and accessible to the hundreds and hundreds of people who wanted pics and/or autographs. Zack, if you happen to see this message, keep up the good work. And yeah, maybe you were too famous for the Dodgers. In a city filled with celebrities who are always in attendance, they weren't prepared or should I say ready for your popularity.

I remember I used to watch Bobby Crosby, Benny, Deep Left, and Moneyball Steve in high school. Was super bummed when the Dodgers shut him down. Now they’re on to Zack like they’re hunting the Predator. C’mon Dodgers staff, a baseball fan signing autographs with a sharpie ain’t hurting anybody.
Sharpies can hurt baseballs; ballpoint pens are the way to go. :p But I hear ya. Nice to still see Moneyball Steve out there doing his thing.

Lesson to learn is you can't experience too much fun or the man will shut you down. Only sanctioned entertainment is allowed.
I ran into that security official seen in the video, later in the game, as I was wandering around. I chatted with him for a little bit about it. He is a pretty cool guy and very understanding of our situation. He was following orders from above and I totally respect that. Wanting a heads up is a reasonable request, and we will follow his recommendations going forward. I just think everyone involved was caught off guard. But yeah, that guy was super nice to talk to afterwards and I appreciated the clarification.
Was he the one that stopped you from using the big camera to film, though? Or if not who was it then and what got to their attention that stopped you guys from being able to film with it since Zack never had an issue whenever he did videos there with a videographer in the past.
@@aidanfinkofficial They noticed us the first game but we didn’t have a huge crowd following us. It was the large crowd on day two that created a traffic flow issue of people trying to get in they’re seats after BP. Add the lack of protection for Zack because not enough staff could monitor the gathering. The camera just added to the attention. I bet I could of filmed with it Sunday but I took the day off and let Zack shoot it on his iPhone. And yes that was the guard. Most places assist with crowd control and enjoy Zack bringing an enhanced experience to their stadium. Watch the upcoming Angels video. That’s how do do it, in my opinion.

I’ve been a huge fan of your TH-cam videos since 2016 and over the years you’ve been very generous with your fans in many different baseball stadiums and it’s very unfortunate that stadium security wouldn’t let you continue doing autographs and selfies. Whoever at that game didn’t get a chance to meet you after the security stepped in or they got a chance to meet you before the security guards stepped in, everyone is very grateful and very fortunate to meet you and your fans are very passionate and loyal to you!!!

Wow, that's so crazy that happened to you. And that's not even as many people coming up to you compared to when you're at Yankee Stadium and the Home Run Derby and All-Star Games I'm sure. It must be a great feeling to have that fame from what you do, but also overwhelming. Much respect to you always and I don't think enough people realize how much time you are giving up to do all you do. From booking flights, hotels and buying tickets to games, traveling, answering emails and comments/questions on social media and TH-cam, and editing videos to name a few. You really do put your fans ahead of you and I respect all this effort you have put into it and making better and better content. Aidan! Thank you as always. I do make a tremendous effort, but I love people and it's nice to connect with so many folks, even if it IS just virtually at times. I also have to give Fenway Chris a ton of credit for helping so much with the travel. I make the final decisions but he guides/advises me and actually books everything.
It's actually an issue that I think you need to message the MLB about. You have video proof of contradicting statements, and as your channel keeps growing, more and more issues will arise with your popularity. I've messaged the NBA about issues and they usually got back to me within a few days. The dodgers security was out of hand and I think wrong for what they did. It seems that they were worried about your protection as a crowd formed around you with no security in sight at times. But still, I think you need to bring this issue up with the dodgers operations and the MLB.
I just don't want to cause any problems by escalating this. I'm not mad at the Dodgers. I just think it was a misunderstanding, and I hope I can go back and film more there in the future because it really *is* a fun stadium.

Regardless of the scenario, if big crowds are forming like that, security will crowd control.

Security are always just a bunch of high school dropouts who wanted to be cops but couldn't pass the exams. This always leads to heavy handed enforcement and zero understanding of the rules as team's front offices would have them enforced. 99% of stadium ecurity interactions where they show up with cops have already been decided to trespass or arrest, so I'm glad you were able to diffuse that situation.

First of all sucks about the Dodgers security staff, second of all it is great that you do appreciate your fans and were willing to take the time to autograph things, take selfies with fans, and lastly I am going to listen to Slipknot's Heretic Anthem due to the number of consecutive games of getting a baseball in stadiums outside of New York. Once you mentioned that number, that song especially the chorus part popped into my head lol. Any who keep up the great work. Maybe one day I will finally meet you at a game in San Francisco.
This would've been one of your best experiences at Doyer stadium I mean Security was cool af letting you continue signing autographs and selfies as long as it wasn't in the seats. I'm not sure if it was the Cops decision to shut you down or not but that was major BS and bad publicity on the Dodgers with that terrible customer service. Zack Hample is an asset to this game, helping to promote baseball to a younger crowd. A sport that is losing to football, basketball, hockey, and even soccer. And now...the Los Angeles Dodgers stadium workers, are demanding that Zack cannot sign autographs at Dodger Stadium? Who the hell do they think they are? Like they can really demand that someone not sign a baseball. How asinine. I suppose Dodger Stadium can just make a rule...that you cannot bring your son or grandson to the game to. Or...something even more asinine...Zack is not allowed to walk around with his eyes open. He just has to walk around blindfolded at Dodger Stadium. Why not? It’s funny Zach, I was watching the vid and the first thing I thought about when the whole ordeal occurred was Bobby Crosby with Dodger Films. Both of you guys have really helped baseball and not many people realize it. The amount of children brought to the game through both of your channels is astounding. These teams should be happy about it.
Did MLB reach out to you and apologize? I’m sure they wouldn’t be happy with how you were treated, considering how you’re an ambassador for the game.
Dont get your panties in a bunch Zack. People go to a Dodgers game to watch baseball not see some internet "celebrity" clog up the traffic areas. Read the back of your ticket and you will see what you are doing is not allowed and by entering the stadium you are agreeing to those terms. Why not just contact the Dodgers management beforehand and arrange your plans. They might even give you more access than you already have especially if they know you have a big following. Dont get mad at the security and police doing their job.
Zach deserves his celebrityhood, and the Dodgers should celebrate all the generosity he generates.

Really, Zack's videos are the next best thing to being at an actual game in a new stadium. Plus you show so many little quirks that we wouldn't otherwise know about!
Well, they lost in the end because it's clear to see Zack was disheartened by it as he changed his cap and said he may not come back again. Stupid reactionary event by the Dodgers as they missed out on what makes the game great in the first place. Happy kids and spontaneous Fandom in place of control and fascism.
As an Aussie, i have no idea what the big thing is about baseball, don't get me wrong i'm not putting it down, and on the same sort of note, i have no idea who you are Zack Hample, but you seem to know a lot about baseball, and you sure seem to be very popular with both kids and adults. Nothing seems to faze you and you are always willing to do just about anything for anyone, keep up the good job your doing to make people happy, god knows we need more people like you with the way things are in the world today.

I went to my first game on July 1st and got 2 baseballs. The warmup ball from the Pirates pitcher Wil Crowe(were both from Tennessee!) thanks to Underwood Jr. And a game toss up from Yelich!! Best night ever! These videos were a huge help and made me comfortable enough to talk to the players. Underwood and Crowe were both really cool.

If i was in the crowd of screaming fans yelling "ZACK" I would try saying "Mr. Hample" to shake it up a bit.
I did that one time to a basketball star. Everyone was yelling his first name while I said his last name. I got a wave while he ignored his first name calls 🤣
Also, there's a ton of baseball players named Zack/Zach/Zak right now, lol.
Great Video Zack. I am a Dodgers fan. I love the Dodgers Stadium vids but I don't think the security went with the the crowd of your fans well. I hope the security can be more leaneant with things like this in the future. Keep up the great work. I hope to meet you in Toronto sometime. (Dodgers fan living in Canada) and I hope you had fun on your trip out west.

So much respect for you, Zach. As an actor and die hard baseball fan, I grew up begging both actors and ballplayers for autographs. Can only imagine how sad those kids were.

Dude I got my first ball at my very first game and it was a PNC park on July 1st against the Brewers. Got the warmup ball from the pitcher and a game toss up from Yelich! One of the best nights of my life and watching Zach's Videos helped A LOT! Kind of knew exactly what to do even though it was my very first game. Amazing experience at a gorgeous park.

Thanks, Ranter. When people approaching me during games, I often ask them to come back between innings, or at least between batters. I never want to block other people's views.

That sucks what happened, and their reasoning is horrible IMO, keep doing your thing brother! I even caught my first foul ball ever off Tatis Jr. at Nats park the other day, one of the coolest moments of my life! Enjoyed it for a little bit then gave it to a little kid who was also beyond stoked.
