Hi, is there a code where the high beams can be remained on while the low beams are off? So, it's like having the park lights on and foglights but also with the option of having the high beams to remain on. For like track purposes

Hey Evan, I love your videos, I recently did me LED tail lights following your video. I wanted to know if you know any way to set the halos to come on as daytime running lights when the LCM is set to AUTO.
Do you have blue L.E.D.s inside your car? Do you get the light is out/not working symbol on your dash with exterior or interior L.E.D.s? If not which L.E.D.s do you use?

How do you code a number of windshield wipes after spraying with washer fluid. The default is three wipes, I would like to reduce it to one wipe.

What head lights do you have? I ordered some that look similar but the angel eyes are not that bright….

I don't get it. In my 02 330ci Cabrio manual says I have alarm system, and till sensor. But when I try to lock/unlock or test the alarm nothing happens. How do j make it work?
The alarm sets after two minutes so I would wait two minutes first I would then check to make sure the motion sensor is installed in the ceiling of the back seats.
It could be that a previous owner had it disabled, the sensor in the passenger seat and hood tends to brake, making it to go off.
And the Alarm should set immediately after you lock the car.
Try to roll the window down, set the alarm and then open the door from the inside

In Romania we mod the indicator lights to stay always on. We call it U.S. Style.

I assume jenkki is slang for american? We have a similar word in swedish "Jänkare"

Great vid Evan. AA++ Just bought a CreaTor BMW C110 code reader (v1.3? I think). Which is a better code reader for an E46....this C110 I jus got, OR a Carly Reader (if Carly, plz let me know what exact Carly model unit is called,... for a 2005 325ci cabrio, i should add). Also...hos to I re-code my key FOB to do that automatic top up/down being OUTside the car, rather than climbing INto a HOT cabrio to manually (& annoyingly) PRESSING the INTERIOR top down button? (can a CODE reader DO this?...if not how to RE-SET or check off the boxes for a re-setting? Please advise!! Thx Evan!!
I coded my seats as well. So your key fob assumes that fob b was used (gf stole your car). Then you use fob a to unlock your car. This will activate that code to move your seats, also it can be activated my opening the door or by unlocking the car via fob.

Hey, how did you make the angel eyes as your drl? On my e39 I have high beams on half brightness as a drl and i'd like angel eyes to be as drl instead. Thanks
You just splice your angel eyes into your ignition..

Yes your car should still have OBD2
Why do you need high beams and fogs at the same time?a little redundant if you ask me
More light on the road at night is always better. When driving at night i always turn on all lights. my fog lights lightens up the sides of the road. I live in Europe so its legal here.
I am trying to code my BMW using a DCAN to proprietary cable (the one BMW hides under the hood) and I cant for the life of me get a single test down the wire no matter how far and wide i go on forums. If anybody knows anything about how to set up this accursed software please help me.
Yo bro how did you code you xenons, I activated mine using ncs dummy. One comes on but flickers sometimes did you do a tutorial 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Can you turn your security off by coding? I have a faulty sensor so it goes off randomly.

Did you mention which programmer you were currently using? If so, I missed it. You flashed it quickly in front of camera, didn't appear to be a Carly, so was curious about which one specifically you bought to do the modifications you've done so far. I myself own a E46 '01 330ci (convertible) sports package. I, too would like to do some of the light mods and window mods. Lastly, does your unit also scan for engine codes, reset them, like oil chage lights? Or strictly a programming module for OBD2?
I was looking into getting into NCS Expert myself along with using NCS Dummy, also considering INPA programmer with cable as well, using a laptop computer purposed for just my car. The problem I've read with both these platform solutions, is they aren't really designed to run on modern operating systems like Windows 10 or even Windows 10 x64. There's some tutorials out there, to get it working. I plan to research, but for now... just starting out would be nice to get something a bit simpler and ease my way into the hardcore laptop coding possibilities thats no doubt going to take a ton of research and trial and error to be useful in it.

Its sharp color combo. Mines Navy with tan interior with black cabrio top. I LOVE MINE. Stay in touch, would like to see if we could connect on social media and swap some knowledge back and forth. Would be nice having a second head or share experiences on what we've done (mods) either software or headlights. I too, have facctory OEM HID (Bi-Xenon I think) installed, and interested in LED Angel eyes or even Demon eyes.
So I will be coming out with a video on how to code your car using Ncsexpert in windows 10. I have Inpa and ncsexpert installed on my windows 10 laptop.
Dave Scurlock I had inpa running on windows 10. I can’t remember what I did, but there’s a tutorial in line. Alternatively, get an old lappy.
Did you ever make the tutorial video for the lights flashing locking? If the tools weren't in german it would so much easier, I need a guide.

When you are sitting in your car quietly in your garage, if you turn your car to the 1st position and turn the radio volume all the way down, do you notice a hiss coming from your speakers. Turning down the climate control and having a quiet environment will help notice the hiss if any. If you could get back to me that'll be great. Thanks! Just trying to see if this is common on BMW's with the harmon kardon speaker option (switch in the front)

Not all mirrors on the e46 are power folding.

Thanks! I'll sub for my doppleganger :P. They're not bad but definitely check out factory ones. There's small differences and you may feel it's worth the extra money. If you're not picky, DEPO is totally convincing and a clean fit. It'll be interesting to see the different routes we take our cars! :D

This is a real great video! There's so many things I wanna try!! And that other video of your "make you car louder for free" really made my car loud lmao. It's so loud and it drones now even with the windows closed. But I'm loving it.
But I still can't find out why my radio doesn't turn on without the key on without them in the ignition like in one of your videos. Oh well....hope one day you cover it. I'm really hoping it's just coding but I have no clue tbh.

Have you checked your radio fuses?
You have make connection cable from battery + to CD +. And don’t forget to remove old +cable from your CD( if you are with original CD I think is not gonna work but you can try it) if you not understend me you can search for video tutorial. I think I give you a best point for start 😉

Can you make a video or tell me how you code your Angel eyes with your key when you open/lock.. i have BMW scanner 1.4.0 but I cant find anywhere where you can code that option with your Angel eyes?
So you don’t even need to code that option. You actually tap your angel eyes to your interior lights. If you watch my video on how to install angel eyes it shows you how to wire it up.

If you bought aftermarket ones with angel eyes then I think you might be able to code them but wiring it up should still work.

It does have to be wired then you can code the drl option in Bmw scanner I think.

ECS Tuning sells a unit you need to make the lights go away, I can try and find it if you need it
One of things that are 👍great about e46 is that it doesn’t have run flat tires and you have space for a spare tire in the boot👢

Yeah it's a pretty dick move when you're blinding everyone else on the road. I live in NJ and you have people being obnoxious with light bars installed all over and driving on city streets. If you go camping and out to rural areas, llllight the f on. In the city though fam?
The fog light one is completely pointless. Ever ask yourself why foglights are so low? It's so they don't reflect back at you from the fog. Using high beams at the same time will blind you in fog. And if you're not in fog you shouldn't be using foglights at all. It's illegal where I live.
@@EJP286CRSKW fog lights don't blind. They aim down as you say. I don't see why it's bad to have fog lights on with high beams if you're driving on dark roads and want more light.
I have a Volvo sedan, not a suv, I'm not talking about light bars , just oem fogs like on this bmw.

I use Bmw scan tool to code it I can make a video on how to do it. You can also use BMW Carly or ncs expert
In German Version it's normal both unlock. Funny when I saw the video and tought. Wtf thats normal??

You plug it into the obd2 port located under the steering wheel but I don't think the e34 has an obd2 instead there is a 20 round pin connector in the engine bay.

the car doesn't actually lock when the lights flash. only when the alarm beeps. Open a door and press lock on the remote. The lights will flash. close the door. The doors will lock and the alarm will beep. It might work for the trunk as well, not sure. I use it for my tailgate all the time.

Ah I think I know your issue, you need a K+dcan cable to code with inpa/ncsexpert. You need a BMW scanner cable to code with PA soft bmw scanner 1.4

You can also code that when you press unlock button twice, driver side window will go all the way down when you open the door and then go up when you close the door. My car does that and I'm not sure the exact purpose of that but it's easier to get in the car when you are parked close to a wall and can't open the door enough.
Eddie Milohnic it is to protect the glass when in freezing conditions as it is prone to breaking when opening the door while it is frozen to the rubber seal so it lowers it to break it from the ice allowing the door to open without possible breaking of the window and it is handy for tighter spaces too

I did that mod to a Chevy Suburban and got a ticket (it was in Virginia, of course) but still, don't risk it!

BMW didn't tell you about these codes because they program them in the more expensive versions. You wouldn't want to spend an extra $20k and find out your car is just the cheaper version with a few special badges
