I've poured my Plastic Baits for around 40 years now. I used my recycled worms with some new plastic & add some hardener to them. I use a lot of Black or Red Worms. Thanks again for your video.
Somewhere out there you know there's a mold for that and that means that there's also someone out there pouring one right now garlic scented fleshlight in green pumpkin with red fleck think of how that looks for a minute..... That's what your comment did to me
For all the People saying the shipment cost more than buying new worms .. u don’t need all this for the average bait making and remelt.. this dude has a serious setup and clearly makes a lot of baits
Gotta love the color that comes out when you mix them all up. I add a few drops of black colorant to make Black, Multi Color Flake. The senkos catch fish like crazy! Nice vid guys!
While I'm a fan of stuff like this, it seems like the money investment for all the equipment is much more in the long run then just buying a few packs of new plastics. Plus getting all the plastic together to use for mold pours.
Could also be donated from others, but who knows. Either way I tend to just break mine down to grub size when they start ripping and use them on jig heads for a 2nd go around, especially Powerbait, because Bass still go nuts for them.
Yeah they really did, Drew has it dialed in. Sometimes they would have small air pockets and were imperfect - those we just threw back in the pot and did again.
wow guys you really got it dialed in..I make my own spinnerbaits and my son carves the crankbaits,,, I'm going to start making my own worms and this made me want to pursue it even more... Thabks for the video. Awesome!!! To me it isn;t about making money ,it;s about saving money and being able to catch fish with something you made...again guys Awesome...
They have companies for your exact complaint. Look up do-it Molds they're relatively inexpensive and have a good quality product that you can make thanks to them
U know for me to do this for myself it ain't worth it but u could do it for a lot of people and make some cash here and there and end up with a lot of free lures. Ud really never really have to buy soft plastics again. This would have to be a commitment to stick with to come out on top. Ud make ur money back withing a few months then from there on out its free bait forever
I just stumbled across this video. That set up is top notch, I do recycle but on a much smaller scale. Nothing better than catching fish on handmade goods!
Man that was so cool. I have always wanted to make my own fishing worms. I do save all of my old ones and recondition some of them with a couple simple tools. I wall be contacting Capt Drew. Thanks for sharing
Hey bud, I really enjoyed the video. Question for you, are those all the same brand of plastics you recycled to make those baits or multiple brands? I know there are different types of plastic used to make baits and I’m wondering what you can and can’t mix together? Those finished baits look awesome!
Hey do you know where he gets his bags that he puts his finished baits in. I’m trying to start my own business and am curious. And I love what your doing on your channel keep it up bro👍👍
Thats some pretty cool stuff, I wonder IF they sell those casts and the machine that pours them? I wonder if you could link them, I would jjust want to look at that stuff.
Dude your setup is bad to the bone! Freakin awesome! Is your injector homemade? Could you share the name or where ya picked it up from if you bought it--been digging around the net and haven't even come close to something that nice... Those monster swim bait molds are wicked too! Thanks for a great video!
Cool video, looks like an expensive hobby, the molds and the thing that air injects them , do you have the molds custom made ore are they off the shelf? thanks for posting
Hey it probably wouldn't be hard to get the molds made so that the part that makes a 'squid' and is the go between could be shaped like a swim bait instead with the back of the swim bait filling all of the filaments, then less has to be repurposed
This is fantastic stuff, DIY repurposing at it's finest! Nice stuff guys, would love to try this sometime. The Gordo color turned out green pumpkin it looked like, hell I'd fish it :) Btw, I noticed that Zman TRD Ned plastics melt when they contact other plastics (like the skirts to my spinner baits), should you avoid mixing them in a process like this?
Good vid. Those baits will get much stiffer as they cool. Also stiffer since you added salt and no softener. Leave the paddletails out of the bag at least a week or they will stay bent.
When I shoot the Gordo color I usually just call it garbage. Every color I got in a bucket comes out garbage colored. But it's killer for panfish and surf perch
If any one here is interested in me making them baits, please email me.
drewsbaitshack@gmail.com
Thanks!
I lovin it
Capt Drew how much will it cost me
Capt Drew did you make in any sizes and colour??can i buy from you and how can i get it??i'm sorry for my english..i'm malaysian..

Could have made a Fleshlight
Somewhere out there you know there's a mold for that and that means that there's also someone out there pouring one right now garlic scented fleshlight in green pumpkin with red fleck think of how that looks for a minute..... That's what your comment did to me
you would fuck fish bait.....
Too funny 😂
Best comment on youtube. Lmfaoo
Call it the master-bait
Can y'all make a video about how much it would cost to start up your own pouring station?
I could have sworn that was a meth lab
For all the People saying the shipment cost more than buying new worms .. u don’t need all this for the average bait making and remelt.. this dude has a serious setup and clearly makes a lot of baits
That's one of the best if not THE best natural colors I've ever seen
That green dust color its awesome ...i bet for sure will work better than the other dark color
Gotta love the color that comes out when you mix them all up. I add a few drops of black colorant to make Black, Multi Color Flake. The senkos catch fish like crazy! Nice vid guys!
That;s really neat, and to think instead of just one companies proprietary blend, you combine multiple "secret" mixes to form the ultimate plastic!
While I'm a fan of stuff like this, it seems like the money investment for all the equipment is much more in the long run then just buying a few packs of new plastics. Plus getting all the plastic together to use for mold pours.
All depends how many soft plastics you go through...looks like these guys go through millions 😂
Could also be donated from others, but who knows. Either way I tend to just break mine down to grub size when they start ripping and use them on jig heads for a 2nd go around, especially Powerbait, because Bass still go nuts for them.
Also isn't he a fishing guide if so he's on the lakes and canals year round
sometimes its not about the bait itself, its the process.
Its more about the hobby lol
All of those baits came out sick!
Yeah they really did, Drew has it dialed in. Sometimes they would have small air pockets and were imperfect - those we just threw back in the pot and did again.
FloBass Thank you!
Great video guys!! What a ton of plastic!

DIY? All you need is a plastic extruder, molds, clamps etc. Ok im back to throwing these away....
The Frustrated Fisherman u can make simple silicone molds
This is not easy i was like wtf😂
They have companies for your exact complaint. Look up do-it Molds they're relatively inexpensive and have a good quality product that you can make thanks to them
Eazyy__ Clapz and use a micro wave

NQS Performance Outdoors Thanks bud! I appreciate the support man! You’re not lying, nothing like winning a tourney on baits you poured yourself.
Bait making is gonna be the new reloading. Thats awesome!
hey you should do a video fishing with these baits
Will be very soon!
You guys have a really cool business model for recycled fishing baits 🤘🏻
Wonder if you can put a littler garlic powder or some extract in the liquid to have it made with some extra sent.. 🤔
You can
Video came out great dude!!! Great times brother!!!
Amazing thing to see dude! Thanks again for showing me the ropes.
This is the video that got me started making my own baits.
At one point I thought I was watching breaking bad jheez
Turned out awesome, the Gordo color is actually pretty good
I am getting into making my own baits and it sounds addicting. Thanks for the cool video
Robert Tobergta veryyyyyy
Super dope! Thinking popular fishing spots should have a bait recycling bin..?
Man that was so cool. I have always wanted to make my own fishing worms. I do save all of my old ones and recondition some of them with a couple simple tools. I wall be contacting Capt Drew. Thanks for sharing

Brand new subscriber here! Those baits looked absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing the whole process. Wayyyy better than just throwing them out
Gordo is like green pumpkin on steroids
Caelan Farlee lol that’s funny cuz I turned to my buddy and said look green pumpkin went to boot camp
Thats exactly what it is!
Like the old Berkeley camo color
Enjoyed the video man!! What's the process for scenting the baits so it lasts?
Gordo looks NICE man. Now I want to start pouring baits 😁 Awesome video. Sub'd
Thank you Will!
Awesome video Bro's, love that Gordo color. Looks freakin evil.
What do you use to keep your plastic from sticking in the pan and everything else?
Nice video. What kind of pot are you melting your plastics with.
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen
Hey do you know where he gets his bags that he puts his finished baits in. I’m trying to start my own business and am curious. And I love what your doing on your channel keep it up bro👍👍
I did a quick search and found this link: www.clearbags.com/spec/fishing-industry-packaging/worm-bags
Thats some pretty cool stuff, I wonder IF they sell those casts and the machine that pours them? I wonder if you could link them, I would jjust want to look at that stuff.
I wish I had a friend like that that can do soft plastic baits for me nice baits 👍💯✌
I know you gonna think I'm joking but I'm not those pink senkos alot of people are saying those are pulling in huge bass!
Dude your setup is bad to the bone! Freakin awesome! Is your injector homemade? Could you share the name or where ya picked it up from if you bought it--been digging around the net and haven't even come close to something that nice... Those monster swim bait molds are wicked too! Thanks for a great video!
I have a TON of old baits. I didn't even think about melting them down... But yeah I'd need the molds and filler and I'm sure that's not cheap haha
A good name for the black June bug would be cast iron
How?
This looks like a good idea to make some large swimbaits that would otherwise be pretty expensive.
can you microwave the old plastics for smaller scale pours?
Cool video, looks like an expensive hobby, the molds and the thing that air injects them , do you have the molds custom made ore are they off the shelf? thanks for posting
Who is the manufacture for the injector your using? Great video!
What is the thing you are pouring the melted plastics in that you use to actually put them in the molds?
What equipment was used to do this? Specifically the pot/heat source. Would you do this with A microwave?
I’m in love with that color, it would work great in the ca delta 😁
Hey it probably wouldn't be hard to get the molds made so that the part that makes a 'squid' and is the go between could be shaped like a swim bait instead with the back of the swim bait filling all of the filaments, then less has to be repurposed
This is the best video on TH-cam.
I have so many soft plastics! Damn this awesome hella sick. Im all about reducing, reusing and recycling! So wish I had the stuff to do this.
Where do you get your molds? Because I kinda want to do this with my baits😏
I don't even fish fresh water and I enjoyed this cool video
Your friend Drew is the man!
Where do you get those bags? I need some for my Simmons I sale. That’s perfect!
amazon
What was the white powder that you poured in there? Maybe I wasn't listening, but what does it do?
What all materials will you need to start making my own lures like this?
That was awesome. I would love to get into it. That startup cost just scares me. Good stuff though and great video.
Just depends on how much plastic you actually need.
Would it be possible to make peanut butter and jelly baits??
That lime green with black flake is not a garbage color .. it crushes here in va in the summer
This is great ..l love it .l also needed to do it but dont have molds .how do l make my own mold
Do you add scent to these plastics? If so, how do you do it?
guys! you're smart.... good job... hope you do couple videos using it..
Que líquido y polvo le pones? Es excelente tu trabajo 👍 podrías compartírlo te lo agradeceré soy de playa del Carmen México
Can’t wait to see you fish these in a future video man!
Now that is a great thing to do man. Kudos to your friend.
I used to make some from gummy worm molds with silicone when I was a kid and they worked good
What is heat stabilizer i want to try to get into recycling my old baits
Figure it's some type of oil since it mainly helped with the heat, you should be able to find it at some of the lure making sites.
so what they smell like though or do you scent them at all?
I don't know why, but I've watched this video 5 times, Scott...
That Gordo color is awesome! I need some of those!
how much did your whole set up cost?
and where can i buy
All u need to buy is the molds u could do this in ur kitchen but wouldn't want ur house to smell like burning plastic
real cool vid guys it's nice to c ppl reuse plastic batis
Im going to start keeping my dead baits now
Good vid. Those baits will get much stiffer as they cool. Also stiffer since you added salt and no softener. Leave the paddletails out of the bag at least a week or they will stay bent.
I have never really fished with plastics but have a whole bunch I have collected over the years
Man that last color was sick in a good way like a root beer float.
Where do we need to go to ship them to you
What are all of the materials used in this video? I am interested in doing this myself but I need to know what that pouring device is called.
When I shoot the Gordo color I usually just call it garbage. Every color I got in a bucket comes out garbage colored. But it's killer for panfish and surf perch
What is the liquid that you put to the rubbers before heating them?
Did you make the setup to make baits if so do you make and sell
Salutations ! I drive by that house everyday! I will now start saving all my messed up worms and picking up the ones i see on the grounds
How long did it take to melt the rubber?
I don't know if anyone else has asked this , but is that a melting pot for making sinkers he is pouring the hot plastic into?
What does the set up cost ….?
Christmas tree of trickworms looks you just snatched someone’s weeve
@scottrose I’ve got a ton of plastics I’ve been trying to find a place to send em to. Mix up and make one color whatever comes out comes out
Can you not use hem because they are ripped?
Do you guys come to TN? I swore i found one of them over in smyrna the other day. Same color and everything
Chris Smith I ship bait all over the country so it’s possible.
I am curious of the brand molds you’re using as well as your injector.
Can you let me know the plastic packaging bags you used?
Where can I order the Gordo color baits? I'll take a pack of each.
Thanks for the informative video... Can you make a video of yall fishing with them catching fish? Thanks again for all yall do for fisherman...
This is the coolest thing I’ve seen. I’m going to start collecting all my plastics and send them in. Thanks for sharing this video
That's very cool. I need to learn how to do that. I need some for salt wAter
Where did you get that injector pot? That's cool!
