claim paid scenario - [denial management] in medical billing

Hi guys,
Find the process of claim paid scenario
denial management - Claim paid scenario
Claim is processed and paid by insurance.
There are 3 ways provider may receive payment from insurance
1. Check
2. Electronic fund transfer(EFT)
3. Virtual credit card (VCC)
1. paid by check
Claim paid amount
Check number, check bulk amount and paid date.
Verify whether check was sent to correct
address or not.
If check was sent to incorrect address.
need to send w9 form to payor to update
provider address.
when address updated, request to void the
previous check and issue new check to
correct address.
If check was sent to correct address, what
is check cashed date.
If check was sent recently, need to allow more time.
If there is no check cashed information after 30 days from check sent date, request for check tracker and allow some more time.
If check was cashed but there is no check copy on file. request to send check copy to mailing address.
Claim paid by EFT
claim paid amount.
EFT number, EFT bulk amount and paid date.
request to send EFT remittance, need to allow more time.
If payment was made recently. need to allow more time.
3. Claim paid through VCC.
Claim paid amount.
Draft or token number. VCC bulk amount. paid amount
Check with supervisor, whether provider accepts VCC payment or not.
If provider accepts VCC - (follow check process)
If not, request to void VCC payment and issue paper check.
