Dimash was awarded the most prestigious award in Russia last year for this song in the catagory ‘classical voice’ - the first non Russian to do so. Kudos to Maestro Igor Krutoy who wrote this song especially for Dimash & the European Games ‘Olimpico’!

I feel like dimash dosnt get enough credit for how much he practiced. It seems like people think he was just born able to do this, but he have practiced his entire life. It also helped that his mom is a sopranos singer.

Dimash sings such a rich lower voice then ascends flawlessly up into his higher registers, and then in a flip of a coin can return to a rich lower Quality lush voice. He is able to do this whilst presenting phenomenal character, emotion and stage presence. I personally think his lower register is as impressive as his high register. He can sing so many genres of music, but each performance, he brings his unique emotive and vocal instrument, regardless of whether what language it is in. Such a unique musician!!!

Always love your reactions/explanations! Be they to Dimash or other artists I just really enjoy your attitude towards music and vocalists.
I adore Dimash's voice, even when he changes pitch or register there is this continuation of tone that is specifically Dimash. The more you listen to him the more obvious that consistency becomes. Even when he's sung in bigger groups (even among 5 other singers singing in a classical way at one point) you can always clearly pick out his voice even when he's singing the same phrase as another singer. There is just something particular to his tone that stands out throughout his voice.
Anyways, thanks again! The NYC Dec 2019 performance of Olympico/Ogni Pietra is my favourite one I think as they changed some of the choir back up singers lines and it just flowed beautifully.

@@m.bk.3928 Singing is not about impressing the brain with high notes or crazy runs or difficult technical skills......that is only an aspect of some types of singing......it is not simply about your mind saying "wow"......it is more about your heart being touched while the mind is simply and silently astonished and overwhelmed by what the heart is feeling and if you can achieve this result without any difficult tricks or crazy impressive high notes then you are a great effective singer who has achieved what singing is supposed to do which is elevated expressive communication to make your heart and soul feel the message of the song to name among many historically iconic singers I would throw in the simplicity of singing of Karen Carpenter, Eva Cassidy or even Norah Jones while in the male category Frank Sinatra is a maestro story teller as far as singing is concerned. No tricks or crazy high notes or difficult techniques just effective heartfelt heightened communication to make you feel what the lyrics are meant to convey through the execution of different pitches melodically. Do not miss the forest for the trees!

When he sings high, when he sings beyond the limits of human capabilities, then the person no longer has power over the music, rather the music dominates, completely absorbing the person. And this is dangerous. This is such a musical magic, something inexplicable, something that the human mind is not able to comprehend."
They just talked a few old people from their parents/old generations examples, but with Dimash always did the meaning things . His minds always knows and capable to comprehension when he selects a song , he carefully constructs a song, arrange each word ,sentence, phrases to match his vocal, or register, how to sing soft and always show good manner before he switch his voice or goes upper register , he gives the audience a cue, or signal, body language with a last few word the end of sentence before he change the notes or keys. they also admit he the first person has 4 types of style the other artists don't have soprano, baritone, lower register, I forget another type, finally they thank you him the person bring the beautiful of country arts the people learned his language through his songs, and thanks him to bring back the creatives of arts that they missed a long times.

I am a HUGE Dimash fan, one of his "dears". My guilty pleasure is watching people from all walks of life, professions, and countries reacting to Dimash. I especially enjoy the reaction of singers and vocal coaches. Toi date, I have not come across one person in the music industry who was not literally stunned by the shear magic of Dimash's voice. I have been following an Italian vocal coach who reviewed this video and said that Dimash’s Italian was impeccable and if he didn’t know what Dimash sounded like he would think that what he was listening to was from a native Italian speaker.

Actually, he isn't singing that low here (C3). it is in a tenor range. There are songs where he goes lower.

Thank you Dr Shane for recommending this performance, I never tire of watching and listening to Dimash. I truly believe his voice is capable of making the sick feel better, I have instructed my family to play his music should I ever find myself in dire straits! He is magical, so talented and humble as well.
