@4:00 Muay Khao (มวยเข่า) = boxer who main on kneeling. Muay Mat (มวยหมัด) = boxer who main on punching. Muay Femur (มวยฝีมือ) = Skilled boxer who rely on speed and technique. (such as Samart,Somrak, Sanchai, Lerdsila) opposite side of Muay Femur is Fighter style like Rambo, Rodtang, Buakaw. which rely on power and strength.
Thanks for making this. Pipa is such a great man, we were lucky to have him stay in Melbourne with us for three months and was a time I'll never forget.
@Rebellion Muay Thai I’m from Melbourne too, used to train. You guys been putting on some amazing fights💪. PS. Wow, when was Pipa in Melbourne? Would’ve been amazing experience 3 months
*Lerdsila, Saenchai, Silapathai, Chaowalit, Kaoklai, Somluck…* A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Thanks for making this video. I was lucky and had the privilege to have Lerdsila as a Kru when he lived in California for a few years. I was a beginner back then, but so many of his techniques and teachings have stayed with me and I’ve blended them with other styles of Muay Thai I’ve learned. 🙏🏼
I've been lucky to train some good fighters. I also really appreciated when he said a trainer can only get you so far, the fighter's own discipline and fight IQ has to do the rest.
Even though he's not a fully fledged teacher in the educational system, he knows what its like to be one. I commend him for his efforts in teaching his students.
Absolutely incredible stable of fighters. Each of them should be 10x more famous in the west for their skill level. The fact that he prefers silapathai should speak volumes as he is probably one of his lesser known fighters. Time for some research!
I would describe these guys as like the Floyd Mayweathers of Muay Thai. To hit and not get hit. If you want a long illustrious fighting career it just makes sense to fight like these guys. I’m only really familiar with Lerdsila and Saenchai. But did they all sort of train at Jocky Gym around the same time. He said that they all sort of had their own IQs, did they also feed off of each other? I have to watch more of Silapathai 😅. He was dancing around the ring like Muhammad Ali.
@@nestorarcilaosorio2457 I know of Samart. Supposedly the greatest fighter in the Golden era. I asked Lawrence if his style would be considered a Muay Femur though he had a successful boxing record as well.
Has anyone here ever done rice planting?I had a friend whose Mother had a padi field, asked if I'd like to help out one day about 17 years ago,so I did one morning for 4 hours before it got to hot and they stopped for the day.... I was in pretty good shape But when his mother asked if I wanted to go out again later once it got cooler I couldn't get out of bed because I felt totally drained and my friends mother was in her 50s at the time and did twice as much as I'd accomplished yet after a lie down goes back out again later...... rice farmer's are tough.
I think you missed translated one part. When you right "femur" style. It actually mean professional. He talking about how him and his college are muai Thai professional by trade.
there are no femurs because the requirement is different. Banging like in ONE , muay bouk forward pressure , violence , this does not inspire people to fight in an intelligent way , why would they ? Rodtang became popular doing style . ONE prides themselves with highest KO rate of all organizations. Think , how many times can fighter fall down and retain his mental clarity? This means that the fighter won't last and his score will be lower. Superstars of the golden age had 20 and more losses but they were not catastrophic , they could still fight. After 5-6 KO's fighter will never be the same and organization requires it.
No point even having a video if your subtitles are that fast. Spending the whole time reading no time for watching.. just for future reference brother.
