This guy is awesome. I’m an avid redfish fisherman that does the exact same kind of redfishing this guy does and it was so nice to watch the video and just enjoy it….. no self boasting commentary and just true fishing. Wish there were more dudes like this guy. True angler not trying to overact the experience. Love this video.
I don't have a boat, I fish off a pier in Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana. I've had days where we catch nothing. On one such day a friend threw on his scuba gear and dropped into the water to have a look around. He said you won't believe the tons of fish down there right now! This taught me a lesson. When the fish aren't biting, throw a cast net and you'll increase your chances of catching fish.
I got to agree with some other commenters, best video yet. I'm just starting to battle with the redfish (from a canoe with a fly rod in SC) and I have been learning a lot from your channel but this one you lay out what ya doing and why and...just a great video! Thank you for sharing and looking forward to more vids like this one, Maybe I'll eventually get good at chasing the awesome redfish! Just subbed.
Iam glad someone is catching them because I cant catch one for nothing down here in Southeastern NC I guess I will keep trying fishing looks great down there
Ya that was cool! Been to that boat launch I think but Never been out there yet on a boat yet cause I have no experience but now I know kinda what to expect when I do my first launch. Gj and thx so much for making these :)
Howdi i live 10 minutes from that boat launch!!! Any boat tips for a newbie so i dont get stuck and tips so I can find my way back out of these channels? I wanna catch a Red like you do!!! Sure wish u offered ride alongs :D
Love your style of fishing. You definitely enjoy it as much as I do. It's my "Zen" time away from the populist. I work with people as a paid FF/EMT Capt. So I love my time out. Even when I take new people that never or rarely get to fish. The look on their faces is priceless when they hook up and land them. If you ever make a trip up to North Carolina low country, give me a heads up.
@@LowCountryFishing 1st part of the year I should be starting my channel. It seems content creators are pretty successful with the occasional collaboration just to keep things fresh.... Hope its going well with the new boat too.

Hey great video, just moved to Savannah trying to find some skinny creeks like that to kayak down for reds. Any location recommendations? No need to give me your honey hole lol.
Great video! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately and gained a ton of knowledge, hopefully, so I can make the leap from fresh water to saltwater. Hope to see you out there some time!
Bells Landing is about the only ramp I'm willing to use for inshore haha. Hopefully my redfish skills will improve by watching this and other channels for Savannah.
@@catchingfishjones I've seen people come in from Bell's with trout, never seen anybody actually fish little Ogeechee and catch anything. Demeries is good for putting in as well as thunderbolt.

I don’t show the number of subscribers because I don’t want people to get caught up in that. I want people to focus more on the quality of the content in each video as opposed to “what’s your number”. Make sense? I can tell you though, my subscribers are growing through the roof after only doing this for one year. Once I hit 100,000 subscribers and get that silver play button I will make an announcement 😉
Awesome videos Dan! Great trips and tips. What is your tip for the damn BUGS? What do you recommend to combat the gnats and flies when you are out fishin? Love your channel, Fish On Dude!
Thanks man. The gnats are terrible here at times. I stay covered up with long sleeves, neck gator, hat and gloves as well as douse myself with Off “deep woods” it’s 100% deet.

@@LowCountryFishing oh ok. That boat must not be too heavy for the shallows. I have a 17ft bass boat but i get nervous in really shallow water. Nice video man. Thanks
How does it handle snags on oyster shells. I love the idea of them but @ $7 each it can get expensive the way I fish. I lose 3-4 jigs each trip minimum.
Regular. The finesse wouldn’t stand up to those fish the way I fish. It doesn’t mean that hook wouldn’t do good back there, it just wouldn’t do good with the way I set the hook. I tried to barely set the hook on that one red fish with that tiny Walmart jig and still bent it out.

Really good video..
Do you typically use dark colors around Tybee?
Depends on the water color. Dark/deep water, dark bait. Clean/shallow water, light bait.

for conservation sake, you may want to do a little reading on how long to keep that fish out of water
