When I was a kid in the 70s this method was called antiquing my Mom did my bedroom set like this. Beautiful work🎉
Same here lol I still have the round piano bench antiqued 50 years ago 👀
My mom did that too!
Oh, yes. Remember it well. I think they sold it in a kit.
My mom too...red
Me too. My mom did several pieces of furniture in green and our kitchen cabinets in blue.
I’ve been following you since the beginning when you were doing this to pay off student loans. It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come. Congrats on the storefront and May your business continue to flourish!
Love how your shop will have a community centre feel with your classes. I think you will become an integral part of the community. Very excited for you both and your team. God bless : )
They are beautiful. I have night stands that I had as a child (I am 75). My dad repurposed them from a larger dresser. I am thinking of doing this application on them. You are so inspiring.
Very nice job Lauren. I'm looking forward to seeing your new shop this weekend. It will be the first time I ever met one of my favorite You Tubers. I've been following you since the beginning. Never disappointing. We live in a small town about an hour away. Go to Omaha all the time for shopping. Recently acquired a 10x20 shop which I store all my future furniture flips. This is my plan when I retire as a nurse. Just a little side hustle and don't plan on making a lot of money doing it. It's just that I inherited a bunch of furniture and I don't want to throw it in the trash. Saving the planet one piece at a time.
Personally, I love such renovation videos because with skill, experience and creativity, you start to restore furniture and disposable items. This video includes practical skills and thank you for sharing this practical video.
I was shocked when you put that color on the side, thinking NOOOOOO, I should have KNOOOOWN better. They are lovely, really lovely. Good luck with your store guys! 👍🏼😁
They look great. I also really liked them painted. That Sandcastle color is very pretty.
🎉👏🏽🔥First of all, thank you for filming with they beige door in the background, that really helped on the bright glare!!❤️
Second, your piece turned out so beautiful!👏🏽🎉🥇🏆
Third…the sand color was also very beautiful on its own!❤
Fourth….God bless!!🙌🏽🙏🏼🎉👏🏽🕊️🎶
Y’all got this!! If something isn’t finished, no one else will know!! They will just be glad to be there celebrating with y’all!!! So take a deep breath and enjoy!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I used to renovate buildings for a living. When we had the grand opening and something wasn't finished (like always) we used to call it Hollywooding the unfinished pieces. Just finish so it is not obvious (like a movie set, or Hollywood), and then fix it the way you want after the grand opening. Your guests will have so many things to look at, they will never notice.
Love the nightstands! I can understand why nightstands sell so quickly. They are VERY versatile. They can work as great end tables or even a tv stand for smaller tvs. Can’t wait for the grand opening!! Sending you positive vibes from the east coast!
When I was a teenager probably between 16-17 years old my daddy remodeled our upstairs. I did my bedroom furniture with a kit called antiquing! My base was like a gray color and then I used like a darker color to glaze it! It turned out beautiful and I loved it! This brought back memories! ❤❤
Yes… it used to be called antiquing!
If I were in NE the nightstands would be SOLD!! Love it! (so, so very tired of white furniture). Wishing you the best of the best w/the Grand Opening. Congrats!😁😁😁
Great flip, Bravo! Best of luck on your Grand Opening😊
Best of luck in the new store!! Hurray!
The night stands look amazing, love them, what great work you do in restoring pieces! Best of Luck with your store opening!
Repurposing containers is definitely a good thing for the pocket book AND the environment.
WOWWWW 😮 THOSE NIGHT STANDS CAME OUT SO BEAUTIFUL 😊 GREAT JOB !! KEEP UP THE AMAZING JOB THAT U DO 😊 MUCH APPRECIATED N MUCH LOVE LOOK FOWARD TO SEEING UR NEXT VIDEO ❤
I’m 74 and mom, her sisters and I did tons of painting called antiquing. I still have a few things. Store is awesome.👍😃
I love doing this look! I’m a big fan of taping off my sections, it might take longer but I feel like it helps keep my sections clean! Good job!! I’ll have to give the Dixie belle glaze a try!
I love this style. I plan on doing this paint style in my kitchen.
Thanks for showing this flip. I’ve been wanting to learn this method. The night stands look great!
Very nice new look on the stands ❤. 👍
They look fabulous!
Excited to wait for your opening. It's getting closer than I think........yikes. Best of luck and I am sure it's going to take off and be a major hit!! God bless
Love these night stands!
From Angele 💝 Can hardly wait for your storefront opening! So exciting for you guys!
Congratulations, you are fun to watch. I told my husband I am definitely considering trying this myself. I love painting furniture and seeing new transformations. Thank you for your videos 🙏
They turned out beautiful. I love them!
They turned out great! Glad to hear this is a popular finish as I bought a piece with this same finish years ago and I love it.
What you did with the night stands, we used to do back in the 1970’s ! Retro is back !
Great job. Beautiful. 😁✌️❤️
Did Neiman go to film school? The camera work is so great!
Looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! 💯
They look amazing!
I wish you good luck in your new venture.
If you will be leaving any tools there get a tool lockable metal cupboard as you don’t have a door to the back of the shop. In South Africa you can’t leave tools unattended.
Beautiful!!
I LOVE the chair you are sitting in at the end.
hooray for pants!!!!
Love them 🎉
I have to say as much as I lover your work the nice clean cream color was much prettier to me clean & pretty the antique look is not as appealing to me but I do love your work first time I disagree 🥰👍🏻❤️🙏
They turned out great. 🙏🏾🥰💖💯💫
I refinished some pieces and use Kurd Kutter, works great and very little sanding
Just love them. And I think others will love them too 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful 😀👍❤️❤️
Almost 11,500 views not even 1,500 likes come on ppl like this video she is the hardest workin women that flips furniture❤❤❤❤
I can’t wait for the grand opening!😊
Thank you for taking the time to teach us! Congratulations and prayers for abundance!
Just beautiful! I’m so glad you are using Dixie Bell! Love their products and have been looking for someone to demonstrate processes newbies can do. Love your channel!
When you painted them, I thought they looked great. And then you started to glaze, and I thought 'no'. But I have to admit that I really like them now that they are done. Mine need some work (they are only 26 years old) and I think I know what to do with them. Great job and can't wait for the opening.
Amazing!
My mom did this to my bedroom furniture in the 70's. It was a teal green with a black glaze-I know, sounds awful but it was really pretty. Looking forward to a new business in town!
Before and after photos posted with the nightstands might be nice and perhaps motivate someone to take lessons at the shop.
Thank you! I have a dresser that I have been thinking about doing this too. Now, I have a general idea of what it will look like, and more importantly, I now know what products I need to do it with!
Great job 👏 I would love to see in a future video you use/try the product Retiquet (not sure of the spelling) that has wood fibres actually in it to give a wood look to a piece of furniture, cupboards, cabinets etc. Best of luck and congratulations 🎉 on the grand opening of your new store! ❤😊
I used this product a few months back in one if my videos 😀
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher how did I miss that 😳 will make sure I go back and watch it!
They look great Lauren! Loved the interview on your last video! 🥰🥰🥰
Loved how they turned out! I had seen a video of another furniture flipper doing the same thing and I fell in love with the style. I was just curious when I saw those little holes on the nightstand since I thought you were going to fill those, but maybe you were going for the "not perfect" look. Anyways, thank you for sharing and they look great!
Gorgeous!! I love them!!!❤
I loved the sand colored. I was thinking of doing my tables
These turned out great.
🎉 Great effort Lauren! Impressive ❤
Love the headband ❤
WOW! What a wonderful transformation! So excited for you two! B~}
Very excited ❤.
Fantastic look so clever
Congratulations on your new business!!!😊🎉❤
NANA is the bestest ! Happy Halloween 🦇 👻 💝Great video as always
Very pretty!!!
Beautiful
How cooL. SUCH A GREAT WORK 👍👍
Another beautiful furniture flip!! Lauren, I'm so glad I stumbled upon your videos and watched all of them now!! Congratulations to both of you on your new store. Would love to be there for opening day. But Texas is a little too far, I would love to see ya'll go LIVE to show the ribbon cutting and show the store opening. Good luck, and I'm looking forward to seeing more furniture flipping videos!
Love the way the night stands turned out. Wish we could join you for the grand opening but you are too far away :(
I love how informative your videos are, but I would never paint my wood furniture. It seems like all I have found is painting.
Wow, I'm the second in!! You look great in headbands, why not sell some?
Start by Becoming A DISTRIBUTOR of A PAINT Line Carrying and Selling a few of the paint lines you utilize. Advertising on your Media channel and pages!
I love and swear by Farmhouse Paint Company paint line! ITS MY #1!

You need some Headboards flip in there! And I've been redoing Lamps, mirrors, picture frames, Old suitcases Old Doors and make into Barn doors with hardware etc... the list is endless.
Start commissioning yourself to redo kitchen and bathroom Cabinets. Big returns.
It will be another mean of bringing in clients for Products and exposure to what you're offering up.
Like what you have done. Where did you get that great rolling stool?
Wondering if when using the spray bottle for misting so the paint glides on smoothly. Do you spray the furniture surface, brush only? And how often? I've never seen this process used but seems very useful.
nice pieces…but to give it a more finished, professional look…I would have painted the dark wood on the back, as well…since people are paying a good price for the finished product
Have you thought about the fact that when you don't remove the drawers you leave dust inside the furniture?
I was surprised you didn't remove drawers like you usually do?
❤ They look amazing! The chair you were sitting in; I have two exactly like that. What are you going to do with them?
They look like a harvest gold or light mustard on my screen. It's a great color! I just don't see a natural looking wood color. Is it just me?
no it doesn't look natural
Just curious why you leave the drawers when painting, and close them?
Great job!!!...But, I think you're going to regret not priming/sealing off possible bleeding down the road.
Lauren have you thought of selling the hardware that you have not used in the store? You might not like it but there is always people looking for matching pieces that might have broken. Just a thought. It will generate a different source of income costing you nothing
So what grit sandpaper did you use on your orbital sander
where did the wishlist go to? I can't seem to locate.. love the desk, and your new space is awesome!

Was this video required by Dixe Belle in order to showcase a different product?
Does dixybelle top coat have a strong smell?
nope 🤗
Liked the lighter color, that glaze is not very attractive.
Looked better before
I thought they looked great after she cleaned them.
I agree.
not a fan of glazed furniture ... but interesting
Love your work, except antiquing. Didn’t like it back in the day, still not my favorite
That's a solid no from me. I hope this 70s look doesn't come back.
My Mom did this to our kitchen cabinets in the late 70s early 80s. Did you noticed you missed the back of the legs? I know you don't see that but its part of it looks like you missed something.
Please tell us you washed the inside of the nightstands and the drawers and didn’t just vacuum.
Beautiful!!!
