First job out of college was a bartender/server at CdC. It was such a great place and the members were awesome. They would take us out to play and that is where I learned to play golf. The members always made me feel like I could be on the other side of the bar someday. Good to see it’s still top notch

I've gotten addicted to these kinds of videos. It might be because I'm 13 and the clubs around are so expensive that my family can't afford them but when I play with my friends at them I just love the course.

@MrShortGame Also if your ever in oregon you should play weaverly. Its on a river and probably the most expensive golf club in Oregon. Ive only played there one and I played normal shooting my handicap 3 over. I think you would love that course.

Had a buddy who lived down the road from Lyon's monster mansion (One of the buildings on his property had a Car Museum). We were hiking on the fire trail behind The General's house and found a freshy dead body. Sherriff said it was probably one of the construction workers, possibly. Played the course a number of times. they have/had a gun range near the south end of the golf course and on weekends you could hear the trap shooters from the course..

And for the house on the hill from what I know he’s a really down to earth guy and everyone loved him in the community, sadly he recently passed this past year or two but his wife still lives there from what I know. But North and south courses are always in perfect condition and the got some of the best sand. There’s also a huge chipping area with two bunkers and plenty of room, on the south side of #16

Yes,William Lyon. He is the brains behind the community of Coto de Caza. His property is insane. There is actually three structures on it with somewhere around 30,000+ sq. ft. of living space. Main house, Guest house, and staff house. Only downside to Coto is insane heat in Summer 100+ daily, Cost of living, and that’s where most of the “super crazy” Real Housewives of Orange County live!

Hey Matt, I would like to get your personal opinion on something. I have been golfing for 29 years and at one point was a solid 10-12 Handicap. I am now 67 years old, in excellent health, condition and flexibility. My golf swing has always been more "hands and arms," but I have always managed to play a pretty good round of golf that way. I hit more "good shots" than bad. Now playing at a 15-17 Handicap, but I don't practice like I did many years ago. I have been following a Class-A PGA Teaching Professional, Adam Porzak, Heights Country Club, San Diego, CA for several weeks now. He teaches "less sway" on the downswing and more "hip rotation" by planting your left leg as a "pole" and turning around that position and keeping your butt back.
I am trying to become less "hands and arms" and stay more connected with my "Core" for better comprehension and less bad contact. QUESTION: Is this also your philosophy or do you really work hard on "moving your weight" to the far left (for a right-handed golfer), before ball contact?? Thank you in advance. 👍😎
